"I don't think you would like to know that, Anna." He said, then tucked his hands in his pants pocket.
"Is there something you are hiding from me, Marcus?" She asked, narrowing her eyes at him.
Marcus felt intimidated under her squinting gaze, but he held his ground,
"I'm not. There is absolutely nothing I'm hiding from you, Anna." He licked his lips and swore inwardly when he saw she wasn't buying his lie.
"Trust me, you will be the first to know if I'm hiding something." After all, you're my mate. He added in his mind, but then again he remembered Anna wasn't like them. So she wouldn't be able to feel the mate bond like they do.
"I don't believe, but I know you won't hide something from me like you hid who you were, right?" She asked, placing him in a tight spot….a very tight one to be exact.
"Yes Anna." He gulped when her gaze didn't leave his, he sighed in relief when she took her eyes away from him.
