It has been a long and challenging journey, but my last year of training has finally come to an end. As my sister and I stand at the edge of the village, ready to leave and venture into the unknown, I can't help but feel a sense of sadness and apprehension. I know that I have grown and evolved in ways that I never thought possible, and yet, I also know that the village will never be the same without me.
For the past year, I have been the protector of this village, the one who took on the task of hunting down the monsters that threatened our existence. It was a daunting and arduous task, one that required not only physical strength, but also mental fortitude and strategic thinking. But I took it on, driven by my love for my home and the people who lived here.
And now, as I prepare to leave, I can't help but worry about what will happen to the village in my absence. Who will protect them from the creatures that lurk in the dark? Who will keep them safe and ensure their survival? These thoughts weighed heavily on my mind, but I knew that I couldn't leave without some form of assurance for the villagers.
And so, I made the decision to give them a copy of the Dual Sword style and the 3 Sword god style, both of which I had perfected during my training. These techniques were not only effective in taking down monsters, but also in teaching the villagers how to defend themselves. And to make it even more powerful, I added my own touch by incorporating the Ether core forming technique, which I had upgraded to the silver core period. However, I also made sure to leave some insights into the white core, so that the villagers would know that it exists and could potentially harness its power in the future.
The villagers were overjoyed and grateful when I shared these techniques with them. Some even shed tears of gratitude, knowing that they now had the means to protect themselves and their families. But amidst this happiness, I couldn't help but notice the anger in my sister Feena's eyes. She was upset that I had not told her about my magic and swordsmanship before, but she wasn't surprised by my skills. She had always known that I was strong, even stronger than her at times.
A year has passed since then, and the village has seen remarkable changes. The worst of the villagers are now at the Red Stage while the best have reached the Orange Stage. My sister, my feisty and strong-willed sister, now possesses an Orange core at the Light Stage. I couldn't be prouder of her, but at the same time, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. Despite my own progress and strength, I still couldn't match her in a fight. But it didn't matter, because she was now capable of defending herself and the village, and that was all that truly mattered.
As I prepare to leave, I am filled with conflicting emotions – sadness at leaving behind the village and the people I have come to love, but also a deep sense of fulfillment and pride in knowing that I have left them with the means to protect themselves. My last year of training may have come to an end, but my legacy will live on in the villagers, who I know will continue to thrive and survive in this dangerous world. And for that, I am eternally grateful and humbled.
Though what bought me out of the village is a little silly.
FLASH BACK AH HOUR AGO
Speaking of which, Feena, have you heard? The [King's Capital] is gathering [Heroes] from all walks of life."
"Huh???" Feena looked at the villagers in surprise. The royal capital... summoned heroes, could it be?
"Powerful warriors and wise sages. Gather in the last paradise. The chosen ones will be given commensurate rewards and awarded the title of true heroes. This is what the businessman from the village told us."
"Eh!Eh!?" Hero.the title of a true hero, brother!Feena asked the villagers in an anxious tone, "You, you.. have you told your brother?"
The villagers gave a thumbs up and said in unison: "Of course!"
"Ahhhh! You idiot!" Feena shouted in pain, and she quickly ran towards where her idiot brother was.
It's over, it's over, it's all over, now the idiot brother will definitely want to go to the royal capital, he will definitely want to become some kind of hero!!
. But I won't let him. I won't let him risk his life for some foolish dream of glory. I will protect him, I will keep him safe, no matter what it takes.
I will convince him to stay here, to live a simple life, away from the dangers of the royal court. I will remind him of our family, of our responsibilities, of the love we share.
I will be his shield, his protector, his guide. I will show him that true heroism lies not in grand gestures and empty accolades, but in the quiet strength of everyday actions, in the loyalty and love we show to those closest to us.
I will be there for him, always, no matter what challenges may come our way. And together, we will face whatever the future holds, united in our bond as siblings, as family, as friends.
Sure enough, after hearing the news, Argonaut had already arrived on the hillside next to the village, looking at the distant scenery.
"The gathering of heroes... Those who improve their achievements in the royal capital will be recognized as true heroes.
Well..."
It seems that I must go, and I will complete my mission there.
"Brother!!" Feena rushed over quickly and looked at Argonaut worriedly.
"Oh oh oh. my favorite sister. Why are you so panicked, your nose is running down?" Argonaut
teased, ruffling Feena's hair.
Ferna pouted and swatted his hand away. "I'm not panicked, I'm just worried about you going off to the royal capital. It's dangerous there, you know."
Argonaut chuckled and placed a reassuring hand on Fina's shoulder. "Don't worry, sis. I'll be fine. I've faced many challenges before, and I always come out on top. Plus, I have my trusty sword by my side."
"Compared to this, you are not planning to go to the [King's Capital], are you?"
"Of course, of course I want to go! The world is longing for my sleeping lion - Argonaut!" Argonaut said matter-of-factly.
"Ah...ahhhh...please don't do such a stupid thing. How can her brother become a hero?" It's over. The stupid brother has made up his mind, and Feena exerts all her strength. I almost sat on the ground when I was distracted.
She no longer wants to lose her cherished relatives.
"Feena." Suddenly, Argonant called his sister's name seriously and looked at Feena seriously.
"Wha, what? Suddenly calling my name so formally..." Feena raised her head and looked at her brother whose demeanor changed and became serious.However.
" I think my desire to be a hero will not lose to anyone! In other words - I want to be a hero!" A confident smile appeared at the corner of Argonaut's mouth.
"I know...you've been saying this since a long, long time ago." Fina sighed softly.
"Yes, I long to be a [hero] every moment. No, it should be said that the world is longing for a [hero].
Did you hear that rumor? The country to the west, Ouranai, seems to have been captured by monsters.
The oasis in the south seems to have dried up due to the dragon's mouthful of flames.
I also heard that Lingshan was burned down and the elves had no choice but to go down the mountain to fight the monsters. It was a difficult struggle!
Fina, half of the blood in your body is crying right now! "Argonaut said.
"..." Feena looked at Argonaut in confusion.
But she was helpless. Every time her brother made a long speech and talked a lot, she would obey him...
"The earth has been ravaged, the sea water has been polluted, and even the sky has been swept away. The world is being dominated by crazy monsters!"
Argonaut said in a high tone: "That's why a hero needs to appear! That's why a glimmer of hope to light up the world needs to appear!"
Argonaut chuckled, "Don't worry, Feena. I may be your brother, but I have my own destiny to fulfill. And who knows, maybe I'll become a hero in my own right."
Feena felt a surge of pride and admiration for her brother. She knew how much he had always wanted to be a hero, to protect their family and their kingdom. And she realized that she wanted the same thing - to keep their loved ones safe and never lose them.
With determination in her eyes, Feena nodded at Argonant. "I want to be a hero too, to protect you and our kingdom. Let's work together and never lose our cherished relatives."
Argonant smiled at his sister, feeling grateful to have her by his side.
Wow, you jumped a big step in an instant, okay!" Feena blushed, now her serious brother looked more handsome... She was slightly fascinated by it.
Brother, when he is serious, he still has a little bit of charm...
"Feena is also at the age when she doesn't exercise enough and is worried about the fat on her belly! As long as you go on the journey with me, your figure will return to its slender appearance."
Feena chuckled at her brother's teasing, feeling a sense of camaraderie between them. She knew he was always looking out for her, even if he had a peculiar way of showing it.
"Alright, I'll go on this journey with you," she said, determination in her voice. "Not just to lose weight, but to explore the world and make memories together."
Her brother smiled, a genuine warmth in his eyes. "That's all I could ask for, Feena. Let's make this journey an unforgettable one." And with that, they set off on their adventure, ready to face whatever challenges came their way.
