The sound of a machine filled my ears and the feeling of something soft and comfortable was underneath me. I opened my eyes and was met with bright lights that made me squeeze my eyes back shut before trying to open them again. It still took a while for my eyes to adjust but when they did I took in my new surroundings.
The walls were white and there were two machines next to me. I had needles in my arms and hands. I was cleaned up and was wearing a hospital gown with a blanket covering half of my body. I let out a breath, happy that I wasn't in a cell anymore, and ended up in a coughing fit that alerted something to the left of me.
"Hold on, here drink this." Nikkos said as he grabbed a glass of water with a straw and held it to my lips. I drank the water as if I had been stranded in a desert for weeks and it felt like that. Having the liquid slide past my dry lips and down my throat felt like the best treat anyone could hope for.
