Chapter 19

As Brax’s second, Raider’s job is to make Brax’s command easier. Taking care of Parker is what he needs to do for his general right now.

Brax looks over at his friends, brother warriors, and males he has served with for decades. He is grateful for their support—his sense of duty battles with his instincts. Brax wants nothing more than to gather Parker up and take her to his ship and quarters, as far away from the battlefield as possible.

His thoughts keep returning to their moments when he sank into her, making her come and scream his name. He wants that, but he has to put his wants to the side, battle with his baser instincts, and lead his warriors, eliminating the threat to his mate and his people.

Brax nods his thanks at the warriors as they circle Parker, and he walks into the other chamber of the tent to meet with Intelligence and the other commanders.
