Chapter 11

Suddenly, a group of twelve Purix soldiers leaps out of a covered hole to attack three Arcturian warriors that had separated from the leading group. She could tell they were in trouble as they moved into a central position, standing back-to-back with their laser swords in each hand, readying themselves to take on the twelve enemies encircling them.

Parker calls out for assistance to the warriors’ position. One Arcturian warrior raises his hand to acknowledge her call out when the Purix soldiers start to attack steadily. Four soldiers engage the Arcturians, and the other Purix soldiers dart underneath to strike at the Arcturians’ legs and torsos.

Parker lines up her scope targeting the Purix soldiers trying to strike the Arcturians’ legs and chests. She hits one target, then another, and another. Nine against three, she continues to line up her marks, having to time her shots between their movements and not hitting an Arcturian.
