Chapter 89: Eruption

It was shortly after the battle between Mahalalel and Kwan, that the latter returned to the mansion, to claim what was supposedly his.

He came to take his brother with him, on his quest for vengeance.

"No, I refuse to leave."

"B-But why? Don't you feel grief knowing Kamou is dead? Don't you want to avenge her!?"

Hearing the name of his late sister sent a pang to his heart, but nonetheless, his resolve was firm.

"No, Kwan. I'm not going with you. Not after you abandoned us, abandoned me, to go on your desire for vengeance. There are children here who look up to me, who see each move I take and will follow in my footsteps. I'm not going to fail them, not as you did."

The older teen remembered the words of his benefactor during their fight on the hill.

'It seems you have lost sight of what it means to be the firstborn child.'

Was this was his ex-father was referring to? Was this what his benefactor was telling him that day?
