Chapter 61: Wake Up In The Sky
'Finally, that's all over. I'm alone once more.'
It was nighttime, that point in the day where all creatures would rest and fall into deep slumbers.
But the sky was still bright.
As Mahalalel had explained to Toshirou when he first arrived, after the Great Annihilation by the Archangels, majority of mankind and their place of dwelling had been restored, though not completely.
Certain places, and certain cities, had been permanently affected by the destruction, and this included changes in times and seasons of those locations.
For example, Chagwon, the city in which Mahalalel lived in, had no clear distinction between day and night.
In short, sometimes, the moon shone at night, making that period of time dark as it was supposed to be, but at other times, the sun never went down, causing daytime to continue throughout the day, and taking the place of the night.
Such was the case at this moment.
