"Are you back?" Blake asked as he saw Ling Qin's icon in the chat become active again

"Ya I'm done with what I was doing. How far are you now?" Ling Qin asked as he unpaused his game and resumed his action of leaving the apartment.

"I'm already on the second floor and I'm making my way down", where are you?" Blake responded

"I'm just leaving the apartment now"

"Oh then hurry up! Don't let me leave you too far behind." Blake mocked him

"Tsk you wouldn't be ahead of me if I hadn't logged off. Don't be so smug!" Ling Qin snarled back at him as he walked down the corridor. There were only two more apartments left before he reached the staircase.

"Bah! Who cares who was ahead first all we care about is the winner ok, the winner!" Blake responded quite cheerful.

"You...!" just as Ling Qin was about to respond the door of the last apartment burst open and a middle aged male zombie with a hole in his stomach came charging towards him . Seeing as how it was still the beginning of the apocalypse the Zombies in the game also weren't moving so fast so Ling Qin was still able to react on time .

Seeing as he was still in the corridor there was not a lot of space for Ling Qin to maneuver so Ling Qin decided to face the zombie head on . Once they were close enough that Ling Qin could reach the zombie he quickly shot out his leg and kicked the zombie In its stomach pushing the zombie two steps back. Ling Qin took this chance to swing his bat at the Zombies head . Once the hit landed  he immediately took back his bat and used more force to hammer Into the zombies head smashing its brain into smithereens.

Just then a whooshing sound came straight at Ling Qin from behind the zombie that was about to fall.

 "Shit!"

Just as the sharp black nails from the new zombie were about to catch hold of Ling Qin's shirt Ling Qin quickly jumped back escaping from the Zombies hand by just a hairs breath. The zombie didn't let him go that easily though, it kept moving closer towards him while swinging its hands at him.

The zombie did not give Ling Qin any chance to fight back so he was forced to continuously dodge the hand by moving backwards .Ling Qin knew that he couldn't keep this up for too long or he will be trapped by the zombie In just a few seconds once he reached the end of the corridor so he began observing the zombies movements as it swung at him .He soon noticed that when the zombie swung at him one of its legs would move forward by just a bit .Ling Qin knew that that was the opportunity he needed so when the zombie swung at him again Ling Qin did not dodge backwards again but ducked under its arm bringing his bat with him, he quickly hit the Zombies outstretched leg disturbing its balance by a bit .

Just as the zombie stumbled a bit Ling Qin stabbed his bat straight into the Zombies stomach .The zombie hunched over from the impact and Ling Qin swung his bat upwards and hit the Zombie right on its chin . As the female zombie shot back Ling Qin quickly stood up and swung at the zombies head.

Landing a hit on the zombies neck Ling Qin continued swinging at its neck and hitting it until the zombies head dislocated from the rest of the body. Even though that was the case Ling Qin knew that unless the Zombies brain was destroyed the zombie could still stand back up so he ran to the position where the head landed and ruthlessly hit it only stopping when its brain had become mush.

Once Ling Qin saw that the number of zombies killed to complete the side mission had changed from two zombies to three he could finally relax. Seeing that his energy levels were low he retrieved some bread from his backpack and ate a few slices only stopping when his energy levels were back to a hundred . He then drank some water to fill his water levels before he stalked towards the apartment where the two zombies came from. Slowly entering the room he swept his eyes at every corner to make sure that there was no other zombies inside before he could finally relax and continue on his way towards the stairs.

Ling Qin quickly headed down the stairs and reached the third floor with no disturbances. On the second floor he had to kill two more zombies before he could finally pass that floor and head straight down.

"Hey where are you now Qin?" asked Blake as he opened the door from the stairs to take a look outside.

"I'm by the gate. The number of zombies outside compared to inside the apartment is insane. I've been besieged about five times already and I've died twice. Luckily this beginner mission does not have a set number of lives and I can be reborn at the staircase door downstairs  or I would have had to restart in the bedroom again. How about you, where are you right now?"

"I've just reached the door downstairs about to head out." Ling Qin replied.

"Well be careful there are a lot of zombies down here." Blake replied still rapidly controlling his character to fight zombies while slowly retreating out of the gate. Once Blake was close to the gate he quickly turned around and ran out.

He quickly ran down the street avoiding as many zombies as he could. Luckily for him the zombies during this period of time were still relatively slow so he was able to lose them after running for a while. Knowing that it was not good for him to remain in the open Blake made his way into a two story building at the corner of the street and hid in there.

"Wow that was crazy I almost got caught" Blake exhaled, his hand lightly patting his chest.

"What are you up to?"  Qin asked as he busied himself with killing zombies as he made his way out of the building heading towards the gate. At this point Ling Qin's side mission had already been completed halfway.

"I was busy escaping from the apartment. Now I'm already over a street away from there. At this rate I will be able to reach the supermarket in no time." Blake responded as he opened the map interface to check his current location and the distance between himself and the store.

"Oh what about your side mission? How far are you with that?" Qin asked as he finished killing the last zombie in front of the gate bringing his kills to 14. He moved towards the guard house and entered. Once inside he opened the map interface and began thinking about the direction he should head towards so that he could head towards the supermarket quickly.

"I've only killed 9 of those things." Blake responded

"Well try kill as many as you can. You never know there might be rewards for killing more zombies than the mission requirements. And it's best to finish it before you reach the supermarket. " Qin said as he closed the map and headed out of the gate.

"Okay I got it." Blake responded . Lifting up his rod he opened the door and headed out of the shop ready to kill some more zombies and head towards the supermarket.

"Alright then tell me when you reach the supermarket."

"Got it!"

Following the map Ling Qin headed northwards down the street. As he moved he encountered some zombies but they were not as many as the ones in the apartment complex probably because the apocalypse started at night and there were not a lot of people outside.

Swinging his bat Ling Qin hit the male zombies head while dodging the other male zombies sharp nails. After killing the other he focused on killing the remaining zombie. Ling Qin noticed that the closer he got towards the supermarket the less zombies there were on the streets. When he was a street away from the supermarket Ling Qin finally killed the 20th zombie thereby completing his side mission. The moment his last zombie died a light burst out in front of him and in the position of the zombie a treasure chest appeared.

The treasure chest contained some bread, a bottle of water, some bandages as well as a tang sword. Placing the other rewards in his bag Ling Qin then picked up the sword and swung it for a bit to test it out. Seeing that the sword stats were good and the sword was sharp Ling Qin tied his bat onto his bag and began using the sword instead. He then continued on his way.

"Sweet!" Blake's  voice came through the headphones.

"What's up?" Ling Qin asked

"After killing the 20th zombie I got a gun from the treasure chest. Now I dont have to risk getting too close to those zombies"

"Oh a gun , well I got a sword. What about bullets ,do you have enough?" Ling Qin asked as he slowly approached the supermarket doors avoiding as many zombies as he could while killing the ones he couldn't avoid. The sword did make it easier for Ling Qin to kill the zombies as now all he needed to do was cut the head once in order to kill the zombie by cutting it's brain in half. Much easier than having to repeatedly smash the zombies head before he could actually kill it.

"Yeah it gave me enough for three rounds. That should be enough for me to finish the mission since I'm already at the supermarket. Where are you now?" Blake continued

"I'm also at the supermarket." Ling Qin responded.

"Damn why are you so fast?!" Blake cursed.

"Who knows I'm just that good."

""Yeah yeah whatever. Let's just quickly finish this I need to head down for dinner soon." Blake said as he shot the last zombie wandering around the supermarket. He then went to open the door and finally entered his mission destination.

Unlike what they expected the supermarket was relatively empty only having the security guard inside. After killing the guard and filling up the bags they received at the beginning of the mission their mission would be considered over. After filling up they're bags with some little cubes labeled canned foods, noodles, water and other basic essentials the mission interface appeared again showing a tick next to the two missions they had received earlier showing that they had completed the mission.

A message box popped up asking the two if they would like to enter the real world and continue the game.

"Gosh finally done. Can't believe it took us over 30 minutes to complete this mission" Blake said

"Ya me too. Are you going to continue playing?" Ling Qin asked.

"Nah its about time to go down for dinner. I'll continue later. What about you?" Blake asked as he saved his current progress and closed the game.

"I'll continue playing for a while. Dinner is not ready yet." he responded

"Alright then see you later." Blake said

"Ok bye." Ling Qin said closing the chat.

"Alright let's see how the real game world is." he mumbled as he clicked on the agree button and his character was transported into a villa in S city.

In the real world game the players location is used to determine his city and his character is then transported into a random house in the game world's version of Country M's cities. So if a player is currently playing the game in City A then they're character will be transported into the game's City A. Creating these maps weren't so difficult seeing as how it was quite easy for one to find the countries map online or in a library. They also used the GPS system when designing the game. Of course not everything was exactly the same as it what in the real world but it was quite close. Looking at the detailed map of S city Ling Qin had a satisfied smile on his lips. "Good enough."
