Chapter 35

After my father went to sleep, we all stayed a little in the living room chilling, then Flo and Greg went to take the luggage which had stayed in the car. After that, Greg decided it was time for him to go to the hotel, and I accompanied him to his car.

"You must be tired." he inquired once we were out of the apartment.

"A little bit, and you?"

"No, I'm good.." he took my hand as we headed for the elevator. When we entered I turned to him.

"I know I'm just repeating myself, but I wanted to thank you again for all you've done." he put his hand on my hips and pulled me towards him.

"You're welcome." he said and then he put his lips on mine for a kiss.

"I missed this though."he said smiling between two kisses, I smiled and pulled him closer to intensify the kiss, until the elevator doors opened, so we pulled away. We got out of the elevator and headed for his car.

"When are you going back to New York?" I asked him.

"I don't know, I think I am going to spend the weekend here and maybe go on Sunday."

"I'm going to miss you too." I told him, and he struggled to hide his smile. He kissed me again, this time pinning me to the door of his car. The kiss became more and more intense, as with each of his kisses, I felt this desire for him that I had never felt for any man before. And sometimes, like now, the urge grew stronger and stronger. If I didn't end this kiss now, I was going to have a hard time doing it in a few seconds, so I moaned before pushing him away. But he protested and continued to kiss me.

"You have to go." I said to him trying to interrupt the kiss. He bit my bottom lip.

"I don't want to leave." he said, pretending to sulk.

"But you have to."I said grinning. He grinned too, placed a kiss on my lips again.

"Good night." he told me before getting into his car. I closed the door after he entered, then leaned out to the window. I pressed my lips to his one last time.

"Good night to you too." then I turned and left. I heard his car start and drive away before entering the building.

When I opened the door to the apartment, I heard Flo shout "in the kitchen" so I headed over there. They were there him and Gina.

"Oh my God, look at you." Flo teased me.

"What?." I answered him trying to keep my seriousness.

"Look at the way she is smiling like an idiot." he told Gina, and she laughed.

"So what? am I not allowed to smile"

"Who said that? We just want to know why you're smiling like that." Flo asked

"I'm just glad to be back." I simply say while taking the beer that Flo handed me.

"Are you kidding?" retorted Flo.

"But what do you want me to tell you." I acted as if I didn't what they wanted to know.

"How's it going with my brother? That's what we want to know." I knew that was what they wanted me to tell them about.

"It's going well." I replied while sipping my beer.

"Are you two together then?" Flo inquired again.

"Somehow, But we don't want that to be known."

"Why ?" they both asked at the same time.

"Because, do you see me showing up at Skylight to work while I'm dating the boss? Besides, if the media were to find out, we'd be lynched everywhere especially me, and I'm not ready for that."

"But they'll find out one day, especially now that they know he's no longer with Macy, they'll want to find out who he is with now." Gina says.

"It's not as if we were going to be together all the time, he's going to go back to New York and I'm going to pursue my life here. I don't even know how this kind of long-distance relationship is going to work by the way."

"I'm sure you'll find out how to make it work." Gina reassured me. "I'm so happy for you two. It's been a while since I've seen Greg so blown like he is." She finished her beer.

"I had never seen you like that either." Flo said looking at me with a teasing smile.

"Like what?" I asked him.

"Well I don't know, there is somethings that had changed in you I don't know what."

"Nonsense!"

After that Gina told us she was going to bed, she gave us both a kiss, and when she left, I saw that Flo kept his eyes fixed on her until she left the kitchen. When he turned to look at me, I beamed at him.

"What ?"

"Things are going well between you?."

"Yeah, she's cool." he said embarrassed and I giggled.

"Seriously, she's cool, that's it."

"Yes that's it." I rolled my eyes at him.

"You like her don't you?!"

"She's a pretty girl I admit, but we're just friends, that's all."

"No no, you and I are friends, and you don't stare after me when I walk out of a room like you just did." He gave me a dark glare.

"I swear you're imagining things."

"What things? I'm just saying what I see, that's all." I raised my hands, sign of innocence.

"Honestly Meg, I love you but there you're pissing me off." I laughed.

I knew Flo very well, either he was afraid to admit to himself that he liked Gina, or he was aware of it and he didn't want to spoil the friendship between them. I decided to let it go this time, but decided I was going to make it personal. I had to dig a little to find out if Gina was also interested in him or not.

Flo and I stayed chatting for a few minutes in the kitchen until almost 1am. I told him everything that had happened in Bellevue, as well as the story with Drew then after we went to sleep.
