Another World Story

This story is about an average high school boy with an average lifestyle who likes to read novels especially fantasy ones and was transferred to another world along with his classmates from his school. As they were transferred our protagonist, John Kaiser, was the sole student among his classmates who were left behind, leaving him all alone in their classroom. As he was wondering what happened to the others, he remembered one of the novels he had read. It was a story of a fantasy world, where a king of a human kingdom summons heroes from another world to save their world from the demon king, a typical Isekai (Another World) fantasy novel. Our protagonist, John Kaiser, started to contemplate and question 'why?' why was he the only one not summoned? And as his questions go crazy, a light emerges from the place where he was sitting. Is this the start of our protagonist's fantasy adventure as a hero? Or will he live the same life again as an average person even in another world?

Day Two: Request

'Kaiser!, Wake up! Kaiser!, please... Don't leave me... You're the only one I got left... Please... Kaiser, don't go away...'

Huft... Pant... Pant...

"A dream?!, was it all a dream?" John Wondered as he put one hand to his forehead and the other to his heart.

It was an act to calm his mind and heart.

He controlled his breathing and look around after it stabilizes.

'Where am I?' he asked himself as he looked around the vast white space of nothingness.

John Stood up from where he was lying down and walk around the space.

'No matter where I go it's the same... it feels like I'm not moving an inch from where I was'

As John wanders through space, he saw someone. A person wearing a white cloak, with long brown hair and beard... 'he's like a sage or a god or something similar'

The person was just standing there.

'Is he not going to move?, should I go near...?, no. I still don't know anything about this place' as John continues to contemplate what he should do. The man moved, he's walking towards him.

"Welcome Young one... I'm sorry for not greeting you when you arrived, I'm currently exhausted... Transporting other being besides souls are a heavy burden to me, you see..." the man said as he walked towards him.

'It's the same voice I heard before the dream...'

"Yes, I am the one who summoned you here," said the old man with a smile on his face.

"...So you can read minds, is this space your domain? and why is your face blurred?" John asked with a vigilant attitude.

"Yes, this is my domain that is why I can read the thoughts inside your mind, it's a defensive mechanism for my own safety... Also, a mortal doesn't have the ability to see a God's figure, The face or figure of a god has enough power to destroy a mortal... that is why my face is blurred in your eyes"

The man readily answered as if he was expecting the questions.

"Oh, By the way, I am Regarde... The God of Transmigration and Reincarnation and I need your help... John Kaiser"

John was confused he can't understand what the "God" in front of him is saying. Regarde saw the confusion on his face and explained.

"Ashura, the world where you would be going is in a deep crisis... Along with your classmates, 150+ other students from your world were also summoned to other kingdoms, I was able to give all of them some advice that would help them... But I need reassurance" Regarde said with a grim face and bow his head to him.

John was once again confused... 'why was a God bowing his head to a mortal?' he asked himself.

"I'm still confused, Why... Why is a God bowing his head to a mere mortal? and why are there 150+ students? Summoned? It's not just my class? But almost the whole Senior high? Students?! from our school?" John asked looking for answers.

"Haa..."

Regarde sighed as he raised his head then wave his hand like he was creating something. Then a few seconds later a table with a teapot and two teacups place on top of it and two chairs facing each other appeared. 'They are all white...!' John exclaimed to himself.

"Sit down first... Let me explain in-depth" Regarde sat down to one of the chairs and probe John to take a sit.

John sat down on one of the chairs without hesitation then asked.

"Is Alex and the rest of my classmates already there?"

Regarde smiled at him and answered

"yes they are, the hero himself was transported to a kingdom with a more dependable King, they would be able to get stronger... that said... you're surprisingly calm"

'so Alex is the hero... Well I already expected it'

John smirked then answered. "I've done my grumbling just a moment ago, also panicking and getting emotional would get me nowhere, I'm already here... Mind as well go with the flow"

"I appreciate it, also I would like to clarify one thing" Regarde raised a finger then continued "The other 150+ students were not from your school, meaning-"

"they are from another school..." John continued Regarde's word and asked "then why do you need my help? I would understand if you need help from me if all the students were from my school but, they aren't... So why?"

With a serious look on his face, Regarde looked at John's face then shrugged his shoulder before answering "you are the best friend of the Hero, so, I thought it would be proper if you're the one to help me"

"..." John was not convinced so he asked, "You said that Alex is the hero right?"

Regarde understood the meaning behind his question he nodded before answering "Yes he is, although there are almost 200 Summoned heroes to different kingdoms, Alex Mendez, is the sole hero"

After answering the question he raised one finger "Only one hero can exist in the world, while there may be other heroes from before, only one existed. There cannot be another hero while a hero is still existing, the other kingdoms might only get other types of heroes, but that doesn't mean they are weak, the class of a person is predetermined since birth. A normal human can get a farmer, hunter and other class, the same goes for other people, except for nobles or royalties with the blood of former heroes. The king of a kingdom can either be smart, strong, or a coward, but the natural flow of a heroes blood changes it, they're class can be stronger or as strong as former or current heroes, the same goes for their child, it changes depending on the bloodline and blessings of the gods"

He explained something that the other students didn't know about, rather he didn't tell them.

"That means... Alex is born a hero... as expected... " John was happy, he's happy for his best friend, his friend is the protagonist of another world who wouldn't be happy about that?

"you..." Regarde was amazed he didn't feel envy nor anger from the boy in front of him, instead, he felt pure happiness and admiration.

"so you're saying that the strength of a person is not based on their class but innate talents? meaning even if another person is a sage or another type of hero there's no rule saying that Alex the hero, would be stronger than them?" John asked as he slowly understands the situation.

Regarde nodded to his words then explained more "yes, as you know Alex has a high charisma and ability to attract others, but his fighting abilities are low, his character is the very definition of a hero, that is why, despite having low fighting power he has the job of a hero, his purpose is to unite others"

"Uniting others... I get what you mean but, why would you still need my help? he has our classmates with him and he might get stronger during the process and 150+ other heroes can help him...?" as John continues his question a phrase passes through his mind.

-'The hero himself was transported to a kingdom with a more dependable King'-

'.....!'

As he remembers the words Regarde said to him earlier he finally grasps the situation.

Regarde saw the change in his face and smiled... He was amazed, the boy in front of him understood the reason without him explaining it in more detail.

John looked at Regarde seeking confirmation and Regarde nodded his head as if to say that his correct.

"Well, damn... Why didn't you returned them to our original world? You know the situation on Ashura yet you still summoned them?" John lost his composure after realizing that the 150+ other heroes will be used as tools by the other kingdoms.

Regarde was lost for words, the boy in front of him didn't know what he was saying, but he didn't blame him, he hasn't told the boy yet that he can't transfer them without the help of other gods, that's why he explained.

"Calm down... I was not the one that summoned them" he spoke.

"It was the humans of Ashura, they were able to get here because I disrupt their travel, I changed their course from being a direct summon to a pathway summon. Despite having the help of the other Gods, I am fully exhausted, as I said earlier, transporting other being is a heavy burden to me, I can only transfer souls, but the almost 200 Living beings exhausted my power, that is why you're the last one to be transferred, I summoned you myself, leaving me with a small fragment of my power after I give you my gifts as compensation and transfer you to Ashura, I would be in a state of recovery, a thousand-year of recovering, that is why I can't help them... I summoned you so that when I am recovering my strength you would watch over the heroes along with the other gods, also don't worry despite saying recovery I would still be able to my transmigration power, you all would be able to return as long as you got divine blessings from the other gods"

John smacked his lips tight, he stood up from his chair and bowed his head after hearing Regarde's words "I'm sorry... I let my emotions get the best of me, I got narrow-minded"

Regarde raised his hand and gave him a gentle smile and asked.

"would you please help me...?" he also stood up from his chair and bowed his head.

The two men bowing to each other was like the reminiscence of a starting posture from a karate match.

John raise his head and held a hand out towards Regarde.

Regarde smiled and accepted the hand and shook it.

"Thanks" was the only word Regarde said as he shook the hand.

Both of them were glad.
