September 26, 2009.
For two full days Norman had been finishing the second version of the Connors Formula and a simple test with a New York gang member resulted in it being fully functional.
Of course, after that he simply killed the test subject, not that it was too difficult to do so.
Currently, Norman was in his office as he saw some sort of cylindrical shaped container which had some sort of green colored liquid inside it.
The serum was something completely functional and safe, but Norman knew that it was not entirely true, the problem he had with it was not making it that way, but it was to integrate a mechanism that he could use at a future time against Ducard and his men.
In the end he succeeded, basically in the presence of a certain substance that Norman created made the serum into a complete poison, which in turn caused the death of the person without even being able to defend himself.
Whether it was a good idea or not, he really didn't know, but he wasn't going to give someone a power as great as the Connors Formula without having some sort of protection in case he was betrayed or had to face them at some point in the future.
Ducard couldn't blame him for being like that, after all he himself is very similar in thinking to Norman, so there would be no hard feelings between the two.
And especially if Ducard never gives him a reason to use the security mechanism then there would be no problem, otherwise he would not feel guilty about what happens.
Stopping to think about it Norman got up from his seat and put the container in a security box that he designed himself, subsequently, he started to leave the room.
…
Night had fallen completely in New York City and although there were still people on the streets it was much less than usual.
Most of the employees in the Oscorp building had long since gone home, including the corporation's CEO Norman Osborn.
There were only the security guards protecting the building and nothing else, so it could be said that the building was practically empty.
The night seemed to be quiet, but at one of the entrances to the Oscorp building the silhouette of a person in a completely black suit could be seen, covering most of his body and face.
The silhouette was soon able to open the door of the building and stealthily entered it, for a moment, the moonlight illuminated the person making a small lock of white hair.
Felicia Hardy found herself with mixed feelings as she moved quickly and stealthily through the Oscorp building, her goal was to get to the room where she had a talk with Norman seven days ago.
Firstly, she simply wanted to know about her father's work, but he denied knowing, after some thought she could understand his motives, but that didn't take away from the fact that she didn't like being ignored so easily by the Osborn.
Secondly, once she returned home she waited for a whole day until her father returned from his "business trip" so she could have a serious conversation with him only to have him deflect the conversation whenever she asked about the work he did for Oscorp.
Besides that same night his father disappeared for much of the night, the first thing she thought was that he was having an affair with another woman, but after a little more consideration she realized that such thinking was kind of stupid, there was no way he would cheat on his wife.
Not when it had taken him so much time and effort to win her over and for her to reciprocate his feelings.
But if that wasn't it, then what could it be? Her answer came the next morning, the news began to report a terrible attack on Plum Island which was apparently the main base of an investigative agency.
Honestly, there was no indication that her father was involved in anything like that, but it was simply her intuition that made her believe that he knew something about it.
Her curiosity had always been something uncontrollable for her, and she was currently following that feeling, ever since she had met Norman Osborn she had always thought that he was much more than he appeared to be, and she still thought so even now.
Of course, she had learned from her mistake and for that reason, she did not attempt to investigate her suspicions at the Osborn mansion, as it was very likely that she would be caught again, but it was a completely different story if she did it in the Osborn building and without Norman's presence.
During all her thinking she had not stopped so soon and without any real complications she had arrived at Norman's office.
With relative calmness, she opened the previously closed door and entered the room before closing the door again.
Her gaze swept quickly around the office before she began to move in the direction of the desk and began to look for something to confirm her suspicions.
However, she found nothing on it, her gaze was drawn to three small wooden frames each containing a photograph.
The first of them was a picture showing three people, the first and easiest to recognize was Norman in a somewhat more casual outfit, but one that Felicia really thought looked good on him. The second person was a small boy who was dressed similarly to Norman which made Felicia deduce that he was Norman's son, in the photo they were both holding a small trophy while smiling at the camera.
The last person was a red-haired woman who gave her a somewhat familiar feeling almost as if she already knew her, she was a little further behind the two men, but she was showing a warm and affectionate smile on her face as she watched them.
In the second frame a somewhat different picture than the first could be seen, as the place appeared to be some sort of laboratory and Norman was wearing a lab coat as he looked with a soft smile at the camera. The second person was a blonde woman standing next to Norman as a smile expressed her happiness however her gaze was slightly averted from the camera, and instead she seemed to be looking in a sneaky way at Osborn.
The last person was an older man somewhat removed from the two people but who seemed to have an amused look on his face as he watched them.
For some strange reason Felicia thought that both women looked familiar, though she couldn't remember exactly from where, however, she stopped thinking about that and soon brought her gaze to the last frame.
In it there were only two people unlike the previous frames, a beautiful woman dressed in a simple, but beautiful white dress was hugged by her waist while being lifted a little by Norman as they both looked at each other. Both had a smile of pure happiness written all over their faces.
Felicia was surprised to see a man like Norman smile in such a way, but she soon stopped thinking about it and continued with her objective.
Minutes later Hardy found some sort of hidden safe and started to work, she had to admit that her security system was really good, probably the most difficult she had ever encountered, but that didn't stop her, instead it only encouraged her.
However, to her disappointment when she was able to open the security box there was only some kind of container, but before she could take it in her hands she felt a hit on her neck, and before she could even react she lost consciousness.
…
Norman had made immediate use of his teleportation when the alarm integrated into the security box had informed him that it had been opened.
He had honestly expected to see Agent Morse or someone from S.H.I.I.E.L.D. but he hadn't expected Felicia to be the person who had infiltrated into his company again.
A quick hit was all it took to put her to sleep for a while, as he looked at the mechanism of the safe and was surprised by what he was looking at.
His hand went straight to the pocket where he kept his cell phone and quickly browsed through his contacts before starting to call Felicia's father: "Walter I need your immediate presence in my office at Oscorp" as soon as the call was answered Norman ordered.
"Yes now" Norman reiterated, "A little kitten infiltrated the company" he added and before Walter could say anything he hung up the call.
Once he put his cell phone away Norman leaned a little to look at Felicia as he once again looked at his security box: "You really are talented" mentioned Osborn even though he knew she wouldn't hear him.
Without further ado Norman took Felicia in his arms and carried her to one of the couches he had in the office now he had to wait for Walter to arrive. He never thought he would spend his night like that.
1543 words in this chapter.
Well, this needed to be done in order to lay the groundwork for Norman's relationship with Felicia.
By the way, I think at this point many of you are thinking who will be in Norman's harem. So, I will answer that question, although honestly, it is easy to deduce.
Mary Jane, Gwen, and Felicia now those three are the only ones I will say and confirm, but there are still two more to give a total of five, but I won't mention them.
So, tell me who do you think those two are?
