Sweetheart

"I am going to get your phone and delete that picture" said Annie as she frowned, she seriously hated that picture that Maddie just took of her, she looked horrible and not cute, and most of all, her long luscious locks of hair was gone.

She needed to talk with Curtis, he had the answer to all of her questions, and yet they had not had the chance of talking in depth yet, he only came to visit her and make sure that she was feeling better and taking care of herself.

"Sorry Annie, but now that you know my plans, my phone is off limits for you" said Maddie as she laughed and she put her phone in her pocket, there was no way she was letting Annie delete that picture.

"In fact, I am just going to send it to Matt just in case" said Maddie a she laughed.

"I truly hate that picture Maddie" said Annie as she shook her head.

"Yeah, yeah, you will thank me later, when you are better, which you will be soon" said Maddie as she smiled.

"I doubt that" said Annie as she shook her head.

"You two really do argue over the silliest things" said Matt as he laughed.

"Look who's talking" said Maddie as she stuck her tongue out at Matt which made him laugh, Maddie had just been so childish lately.

"Oooh and before I forget, Evie and the others are all excited that you are awake now, and they all bombarded me with letters, and by bombarding I mean Evie wrote me an epistle of letter for me to read to you" said Matt as he smiled and he did not look amused at all as he nodded his head and Maddie just laughed, her fellow blondie could be very unbearable.

"That's very sweet of her, and them all" said Annie as she smiled.

"But I am fine now, I can read her letter myself" said Annie as she smiled.

"Well no Annie, there is no need for you to do that, let me save you the stress" said Matt.

"I read it already, and I can tell you that it is very, very, very repetitive" said Matt as he shook his head.

"The long and short of it is that they are happy you are awake, and that they miss you" said Matt.

"Aww I miss them too" said Annie as she smiled, she truly did miss all of them.

"When are they coming to visit anyway??" asked Maddie as she looked at Matt and Matt shook his head subtly at her, which made Maddie stop talking.

"Yes Maddie is right, they have been in the vampire realm for way too long, when are they coming back here??" asked Annie as she looked at Matt.

"Ah.. well" said Matt as he laughed sheepishly.

"Well the thing is that they love it at the vampire realm and they want to spend more time with Grandfather" said Matt as he explained and he smiled.

"Oh really??" asked Annie.

"Yes really, right Maddie???" asked Matt as he turned to look at Maddie and he looked at her with an expression that read "Just do with it"

"Ah… ahh, yes yes, they really do like it there" said Maddie as she agreed with Matt and she smiled a she nodded her head and she agreed with Matt as he smiled at her.

"And I mean, who would blame them??" asked Maddie.

"The Vampire realm is just so pretty and free, and besides they are royalty, so I am sure they must be having a blast there" said Maddie as she smiled and she nodded her head.

"Yes… I think you are right Maddie" said Annie as she nodded her head and she smiled and Maddie smiled back at her.

"But Matt, why didn't you go along with them?" asked Annie as she looked at Matt, he had always been here, with her, and she was sure that he at least at one point missed his siblings and yet he remained here and he never went to go and see them.

"Well I wanted to be here, and stay by your side at all times" said Matt as he smiled at Annie, and she smiled back sweetly at him, he always said the nicest things.

"*Ahem*" said Maddie as she cleared her throat, these two were making her feel like she was a third wheel.

"Should I leave or…??" asked Maddie.

"No" said Annie and Matt at the same time as they both turned to look at Maddie.

"*Ahem*, I mean why would you leave?" asked Matt as he cleared his throat.

"Well because I want to go get some snacks" said Maddie as she smiled and she winked at Matt as she laughed.

"Oh well okay, you can go then" said Annie as she smiled, she did not know why she and Matt had both told Maddie not to leave at the same time.

"Nope, I just realized that I'm really not that hungry anymore" said Maddie as she laughed, these two were as clueless as clueless could be, or maybe they were just lying to themselves, or maybe it was both.

"You know what I find really funny Annie?" asked Maddie as she looked at Annie.

"What??" asked Annie as she looked at Maddie.

"The fact that Matt stayed here, right by your side, every single day that you were in your coma" said Maddie.

"Really?" asked Annie.

"Yes really" said Maddie as she smiled and she nodded her head.

"And the thing is that even I stopped coming to see you, but Matt, he stayed right here with you every day, he always came here to stay with you and talk with you" said Maddie as she smiled and she looked at Matt.

"I find that sweet" said Annie as she turned to look at Matt and she smiled at him, she did not know that he stayed with her every single day that she was in her coma, he really was a true friend, and so was Maddie, but people could only do as much as they were capable.

"Mhmm, isn't Matty boy a sweetheart??" asked Maddie as she smiled and she held Matt's hand and Matt smiled as he looked down.

"Yes he is" said Annie as she smiled.

"Well he is only a sweetheart to you" said Maddie as she smiled and Matt looked up at Maddie as he wondered what she was trying to do.

"What do you mean??" asked Annie as she looked at Maddie in confusion, Matt was sweet to everyone, that was just how he was, nice and sweet.

"Well it's just that…" said Maddie as she was cut off as the door of the room opened.

"Hello Maddie" said John as he smiled and he looked at Maddie.

"Hello Uncle" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Hello Mr. Grey" said Matt as he smiled and John just ignored him as he walked towards Annie.

"Hi Dad" said Annie as she smiled at her father, and he smiled at her.

"I think we should go" said Maddie as she turned to look at Matt and he agreed with her, well mostly because he was sure that Mr. Grey could not stand him at all, and he still did not know the reason why?

"We are going to the kitchen now, we will see you later Annie" said Maddie as she smiled and she and Matt stood up.

"Okay see you" said Annie as she smiled and Matt smiled at her, but as soon as he saw the look on John's face the smile on his face dropped and he just walked away as he closed the door behind him and Maddie.

"How are you doing my little girl?" asked John as he looked at Annie and he gave her kiss on the forehead.

"Dad, I'm sixteen" said Annie as she laughed.

"You may be, but to me you will always be little" said John as he smiled and Annie smiled at him, John was so glad that his little girl was feeling much better again, he really could not think of what he would have done if he had lost her.

"So how are you feeling today Annie?" asked John as he smiled.

"Well I am good Dad, I feel better, and I can walk again" said Annie as she laughed, she never imagined the day where she would have to learn how to walk… again.

"That's great honey" said John as he smiled.

"But I am tired of everyone treating me like a baby, I am fine now" said Annie.

"But you know we do care for you" said John as he laughed.

"Yes I know that, but I a not a baby" said Annie as she shook her head, she found it annoying that everyone treated her as if she was weak.

"Well honey, you just need to get better first okay" said John as he smiled.

"Okay Dad, fine" said Annie as she sighed and John smiled at her.
