196. Oh, Crap!

From the footsteps, everyone could tell that the person was walking casually toward them.

"Hmmm? Kakashi-san? And the other Jōnin ninjas as well. What are you doing?"

Naturally, that person was none other than Izumi.

Everyone's gaze turned to him. Izumi glanced at Itachi and Kisame up and down. But then, he closed his eyes.

"Sharingan, huh? Uchiha Itachi, right?" Izumi smirked. Izumi didn't intend to open up his eyes in front of Itachi since with just a glance, Itachi could launch any illusion.

Itachi frowned.

"You know me?"

Izumi shook his head.

"Not really. I only know that you're a member of a certain organization. And since you came here, that means your organization is already preparing to collect them, right? The tailed beasts' chakra."

Hearing Izumi's words, Itachi and Kisame narrowed their eyes. Someone seemed aware of their intention and they wondered how he knew they were targeting the tailed-beasts chakra.

Looking at the symbol on their forehead protectors, Both Itachi nor Kisame didn't know which village Izumi came from.

"Itachi-san. He seems to know about us."

"We have no business here since our target is gone. However, it's better if we can catch him, we can interrogate him to get some information."

Kisame walked step by step approaching Izumi.

Meanwhile, Asuma, Kurenai, and Guy were surprised to see Izumi come at a time like this. They already saw how powerful Izumi was, but Izumi's level was still below Jōnin-level.

Asuma and Guy warned him to get away as soon as possible. But Izumi paid no heed while curling up his lips.

"Dangerous? I'm the Danger!!!" Izumi responded amusingly.

Meanwhile, the others were stunned by his words. They had a "wtf" word written on their faces.

"This brat said something interesting, I'm the danger, huh? Itachi-san, I'm gonna teach this brat a lesson."

"Don't overdo it, your Jutsu is too eye-catching!"

"Got it!"

Asuma, Guy, and Kurenai were worried about him. It was true that Izumi was strong. However, the strength Izumi displayed in the Chūnin-exam against Luffy was just below a Jōnin-level ninja.

When they wanted to help Izumi, Itachi got in the way. They had been warned by Kakashi not to look Itachi in the eye. But fighting without using sight would be difficult for them. They didn't know what to do.

"What should we do, Kakashi? That kid is in danger." Asuma asked.

"We will be in danger as well if we look into his eyes. His Genjutsu is no joke. I didn't even dare to look at him with my Sharingan since his Sharingan level was already above me."

Guy looked at Kakashi, then said,

Kisame swiftly moved toward Izumi. His hand carried a huge sword none other than Samehada. He swung his sword toward Izumi. However, Izumi just stayed still and didn't even move a bit. He even smirked at Kisame.

Kisame's brow rose after seeing Izumi couldn't even react to his attack. He needed Izumi alive and didn't intend to kill him. But, it was too late.

However, he was in disbelief when Samehada passed through Izumi's body and hit the ground.

*bang* *crack*

The ground cracked instantly after the collision. Everyone was stunned. They saw the Samehada go through Izumi's body, but nothing happened to him at all.

Izumi moved his hand. His fingers suddenly spun and formed like drills created from the wind. Then Izumi pushed his fingers forward. Kisame felt dread by Izumi's attack which made him timely dodge backward.

Itachi was able to see clearly with his Sharingan. This was the first time for him to see such a skill that Izumi showed. His body seemed ethereal and no solid object could hurt him.

When Itachi was about to warn Kisame, Guy attacked him.

When Asuma, Kurenai, and Kakashi were close to Izumi, Izumi yelled.

"Don't get in the way! He is my prey. You should deal with Itachi instead!" Izumi said while licking his lips. Without opening his eyes, he said to Kisame.

"Hehehe. It's been a while since I fought strong people. The last time, I fought 1v10. That was exciting. I wonder if you could excite me or the opposite."

Kurenai wanted to say something. But, at that moment, a strong wind unleashed from Izumi's feet and blasted him toward Kisame instantly.

Kisame couldn't react since he didn't expect Izumi to make such a move.

*Wham*

Izumi's knee landed on Kisame's stomach and threw him backward.

Itachi couldn't help but look at how Izumi's speed suddenly increased drastically. Now Itachi understood why Izumi was so confident. Izumi was not as simple as it seemed. And what he didn't understand was that Izumi always closed his eyes as if he guarded against Sharingan. Moreover, it seemed Izumi could fight without using his eyes.

Kisame woke up off the ground by destroying his surroundings. Then, Kisame performed hand seals at a fast pace.

"Suiton: Suikoudan no Jutsu"

After Kisame finished his hand seals, he manipulated a volume of water with his hand by thrusting his hand and sending it in Izumi's direction. The body of water took the shape of a shark with additional water following in.

Izumi grinned widely after sensing the thing in front of him.

Izumi took a stance as he was about to do something, then…

Izumi actually swallowed the attack through his mouth.

*burp*

"Ah, I'm full, thanks for the meal!"

Not only Kisame was stunned by that, but even others like Itachi, Guy, Asuma, and Kurenai were also speechless. It was too irregular. Or it could be said, swallowing a Jutsu was out of place. They never heard of or saw such an action. It was not strange if they were stupefied by what Izumi did.

"Y-you. W-what are you?" Kisame asked in a stutter.

"Dude, your question is so rude. What do you mean by "what"? Am I looking like an animal or object to you? That question is what I should throw at you. Are you human? Or are you a shark?"

Kisame clenched his fists. He wanted to use the fogging technique to block his vision. But Izumi's eyes were always closed since the fight started. That meant, blocking the vision was pointless.

Then, his hands once again performed hand seals. While doing so, he tried to get closer to Izumi at his fastest speed. Knowing the location of their fight was close to the river, Kisame drew the water from the river, then he made a sphere of water to trap Izumi.

"Suirou no Jutsu."

Izumi calmly smiled. Then, he pointed his fingers forward. All of sudden, wind lances shot out of his fingertips and stabbed Kisame since he reacted too late. And once again, Izumi swallowed the water to get out of the entrapment.

"Ahhh."

Kisame groaned in pain and took a few steps backward.

Izumi could tell that the situation was perfect for saying something like a certain main character or main villain would say. Then he tried to mimic his voice just like in the anime.

"Ahem. Playing water in front of me? You're 100 years too early! Hahahaha."

Izumi nodded in laughter. He was satisfied after saying that.

Kisame didn't think the kid in front of him wasn't easy to handle.

But, at that moment, Izumi frowned. He felt a familiar aura getting closer, and knowing who that person was, Izumi slapped his own forehead in annoyance.

"Uchiha Itachi!!!"

His voice was so loud just like when one cursed someone else. His hate and hatred flared up. There was no one else inside Konohagakure who hated Itachi that much, except Uchiha Sasuke.
