Chapter 23 : Planning

The miserable lives of the people in the Purple Thorn Kingdom continue on without any major changes. The Nobles, on the other hand, live lavish and luxurious lives, with the only excitement being their enjoyment of tormenting the commoners.

Time passes by as the people's lives continue to deteriorate, with no one stepping in to help them escape their suffering.

The criminals in the Kingdom don't even blink an eye at the situation, as the Kingdom's downfall benefits them. No one wants to intervene in this hellish land, unwilling to waste resources on saving the people.

However, things may not be as they seem on the surface. While some may not have noticed, there are faint movements in the shadows that go unseen.

A month has gone by since Nexus recruited the rogue Cultivators.

They have been meeting at Lexx's hideout, which they've turned into their secret stronghold. Nexus has stationed guards nearby to keep others away, and they even have a secret password for entry.

Nexus has assigned members to gather information and monitor the Nobles' movements with Lexx being the leader, even sending some into the inner area where the Nobles reside to gather intel.

Apart from that, Nexus has also dispersed the remaining members throughout various parts of the Kingdom to monitor any unforeseen disruptions to their plans. He has also allowed some members to procure weapons and armor, which are then secretly sent to the secret stronghold.

During this time, Nexus has not neglected his cultivation. He has been tempering his foundation, making it more stable and firm.

In addition, he has been practicing a blade technique called the Void Apocalyptic Blade and a movement technique called the SunMoon Steps. These techniques were the first martial techniques he encountered on the first floor.

The Void Apocalyptic Blade is unique because it has no upper limits, allowing Nexus to continue practicing and growing stronger.

As for the SunMoon Steps, it combines the energy of the Sun and Moon in one footwork to increase speed. The more energy from both celestial bodies, the more powerful the technique becomes. Each element, the Sun and the Moon, has its own set of movements within the technique.

Nexus has discovered that when the Void Apocalyptic Blade and the SunMoon Steps are combined, the explosive power is truly terrifying. He has also been cultivating his soul, nearly breaking through to the Spiritual Sea Realm. Meanwhile, Kassius and Sora have managed to break through to the Spirit Realm.

As time passes, Nexus and his team continue with their plans, increasing their strength in the process.

To ensure the mission's success without any mishaps, Nexus decides to give each member of his force a 1 Star Earth Rank Martial skill. The members are shocked but grateful for such a precious gift. Their excitement upon receiving these Martial skills is evident in their eyes.

Another two weeks flew by as Nexus continued his regular routine with his force. During this time, Lexx and his team of intelligence personnel gathered important information about the Nobles and sent it to Nexus.

Thanks to Lexx's mysterious bloodline, he could easily infiltrate the inner area and gather crucial Intel, making the task of gathering information much easier.

In the secret stronghold on the second floor, Nexus sat at a desk with a stack of papers in front of him. He was currently reading through a paper when Kassius approached him, saying, "Your Highness, Lexx has sent another information." Nexus looked up, nodded, and said, "Bring it."

Kassius went downstairs and returned with someone following behind him. When the person, Tyler, reached Nexus, he immediately kneeled and greeted, "Your Highness."

" Get up Tyler",Nexus smiled and told Tyler to get up. Tyler was a young man with a handsome face, slender build, blue eyes, and around the same age as Lexx. He was part of Lexx's team of intelligence personnel and had been sending the information they gathered on the Nobles.

Nexus noticed Tyler's talent in information gathering, even though he wasn't as skilled in Cultivation as Lexx. Nexus even thought that if they were back on Earth, Tyler would make a great agent.

Nexus turned to Tyler and inquired, "So Tyler, what information have you brought this time?"

"Your Highness, according to Lexx, this information is crucial for our mission," Tyler replied with a serious expression.

Nexus was surprised by Tyler's response. He sat up straight and demanded, "Give it to me."

Tyler respectfully handed over a scroll to Nexus, who eagerly opened it and began reading. After a moment, Nexus looked up with a serious yet excited expression. "Is this information accurate?" he asked.

"Yes, Your Highness," Tyler confirmed solemnly.

Curious, Kassius chimed in, "What is this information about Your Highness?"

Nexus handed the scroll to Kassius, who quickly scanned it and looked back at Nexus with excitement. "If this is true, it could save us a lot of trouble. We could easily gather all of them in one place and finished all of them at once" Kassius exclaimed.

Nexus agreed, "This couldn't have come at a better time. It's time to make the Nobles suffer."Nexus narrowed his eyes as he spoke.

Over the past month and a half, they had gathered enough information to take on the Noble Families of the Purple Thorn Kingdom. They were just waiting for the right opportunity to strike.

According to their gathered information, there were five Noble Families in the kingdom, all of whom held significant power.

These five Noble Families wield significant power and influence within the Kingdom. According to the information provided by the Lexx team, the combined army of these families consists of approximately 10,000 soldiers.

However, only a few of them possess Cultivation bases, with those in higher positions being the exception. Additionally, their levels of Cultivation are not particularly high.

The Nobles themselves do not have high cultivation bases, with the highest among them being at the Spirit Realm. And this Spirit Realm Cultivator is the head of the most powerful Noble Family among the five of them.

And according to the information Tyler brought - the Moonheart Family,the most powerful Noble Family among the five Noble Families is hosting a banquet in three days! They've invited the other four Noble Families and some other important people from the Kingdom.

And this is why Nexus and Kassius were thrilled because all the Nobles would be gathering in one place, making their mission much easier. It would be like catching a turtle in a jar.

Nexus turned to Tyler and said, "Go tell Lexx and his team to meet in two days, and let the others in the Kingdom know to gather here as well."

" Yes Your Highness ",Tyler nodded respectfully and left the second floor.

" Grandpa Kassius quickly make preparations.It's time to make these Nobles pay the price," Nexus said, his eyes gleaming with coldness.
