The book in my hands was interesting to say the least. It talked about the characteristics of each race, but as I was a very young dragon and had not passed the rite of awakening, I didn't have any of the feature distinct to dragons.

I thus quickly glanced over the different sections. I learnt about the greedy dwarves, the secretive elves and the savage humans.

I don't know why the author keeps on saying that humans are savage, but I will try to look out for any clue as to why they are described as such.

Finally, I came across the section that interested me the most. It was simply called "Draconic traits".

As I started reading the book, I came across all the things that you would except of a book. Notably the basic characteristics of an awakened dragon. In the book, it was said that their heart will only become active after passing a rite of passage based on wisdom.

After this bit of information, I started reading the more basic aspect of being a dragon. It was said that we have wings and scales of various colours and the older we become the greedier we will get.

'Hmm, I wonder why dragons become both stronger and greedier with age. Could that not be a coincidence?'

After being interrupted by this fleeting though, I continued reading through the book. After i finished reading the book, I summed up all the things I learnt about dragons.

'So, we have a titanic amount of life-force, excellent magic potential and a body that was practically built and made for combat?'

'All of this at the cost of being greedy and having low reproductive abilities? No wonder we are regarded as one of the most powerful species.'

'However, all of this information can only bring up the question "why we haven't been able to dominate the continent?".' AT that moment, I was started to get confused, so I thought to myself

'Maybe some greater force is preventing us from doing so? I Should ask Hecate about it. As a librarian, she should have a better understanding than me.'

After having this thought, I looked at the clock. It was already seven hour and fifteen minutes into the evening and I knew that it was about time for me to go and meet up with my parents and my other relatives to have a nice, copious and filling family dinner together.

Thus, I started tracing my steps back out of the library. I looked over the desk which Hecate had been working on until lately and found it empty except for a few feathers neatly dipped inside of a small jar, half-filled with a peculiar ink which projected a blueish shade over the adjacent papers.

'She must have gone back to her room to eat and sleep' I thought to myself, slightly disappointed at the fact that I couldn't get the answers to my question, as I continued my path after being briefly stopped by the peculiar sight.

I excited the library and started walking my way towards the halls.
