Practice makes perfect

He walked towards the axe and said, "Don't worry, it will be safe with me."

He grabs the hilts of the axe. As soon as he did that, some kind of energy entered his body. In reflex, he tried to take back his hand.

But to his surprise, it's stuck on the axe.

And this thing was fucking heavy. After some trial, he stopped and let the axe do what it wanted to do.

After a minute and a half, he again felt something leaving his body. He understands that what it wanted to do was done already.

He then felt a prick in his hand where he was holding the axe. A drop of blood came out and it was absorbed by the Axe.

A few seconds later he felt a connection with the axe. As if it was just another part of his body and he could control it however the way he wanted.

He pulled it with great force as the axe was very heavy. But he almost fell as he could easily pick up the axe because somehow it was lighter.

He smiled as he could pick up the axe now. Though it's still heavy he could still swing it easily.

As he was swinging it, some new information came to his mind. It's about the axe.

Lucius stopped swinging the axe and looked at it with shock. "You are really a mysterious weapon. Befitting me."

It has three abilities or functions.

it can get stronger by absorbing other weapons or materials.

It can take any form of the user's wish it to take.

The wilder can control its size and weight of it.

Lucius then changed it into a desert eagle. He marveled at the gun as it was better than the originals. He then changed it into a sniper rifle. He then changed it into a sword and all kinds of weapons.

He had mastered all kinds of weapons in the past. Though not at the level of this world but on Earth, they were at the pick of mastery.

And he was sure that, with enough practice, he could take them to new heights in this world too.

After trying everything he tried to see if he could change it into any other form than a weapon. He wanted it to turn into a ring. And it changed into that.

He smiled wore the rings on his right index finger and looked around. He couldn't find anything other than the weapon so he left the shrine.

~scene change~

The middle-aged man and other villagers were still standing outside the shrine. Seeing him coming out empty handed they looked at each other and smiled awkwardly.

They thought that there was nothing inside or that whatever was inside, got destroyed by time.

Lucius understood their thinking but he didn't say much either. This weapon was too precious. And anyone with greed in their heart would come after him. Not like he was afraid but he didn't want to step on the axe after knowing the danger.

Lucius said, "If you want to give me something then give me the pirate ship."

The middle-aged man sighed in relief and smiled. After that, they take him to the pirate ship. The one the pirates used to come here.

Lucius asked for it. As he needed it to leave the island.

~scene change~

Lucius was standing on the deck of the ship and swinging an Axe up and down.

He was on the sea for 3 days now. After he left the keeper island, he started training with all types of weapons.

To him, every weapon had its specialty. So why not learn every one of them when you have the only thing that others don't, time?

For starters, he started with the Axe form. He developed a liking for it. It's straightforward to use.

A weapon duty was to eliminate the enemy of the wilderness. So why need so many fancy moves when all you have to do is cut your enemy?

As he was swinging the axe, he saw a ship on the far left. He stopped swinging the axe. The Axe suddenly turned into a ring on his index finger.

Lucius takes a towel and wipes the sweat off of his body. He took out binoculars and looked at the ship. 'Pirate ship?' Lucius Thought.

Lucius smiled seeing them. He didn't have any map to use for going to the next island. So he needed an urgent navigator. He wanted to borrow the navigator of the pirate ship for some time.

So he moved his ship towards the pirate ship.

Meanwhile on the pirate ship.

"Captain, there is a ship?" A man shouted from the watchtower.

A tall fat man laughed as he drank and shouted "Let's raid, we haven't seen a ship for a while now."

"Yeah." Many pirates agreed with him with excitement and greed.

After a few minutes "Captain the ship is already close, shouldn't we use cannons?"

Captain laughed and said "It's coming towards us and also there is only one person on the ship. Don't waste the cannon balls."

Back to Lucius.

As soon as the ships were closer he jumped from his ship to the other one. He looked at the pirates who were looking at him weirdly.

A fat man came to the front and said "You have some guts to jump on my ship. Never mind the drunk pirates who will give you dea..."

*bang*

Suddenly a gunshot sounded and everyone saw the fat man who was supposed to be a fearsome pirate and their captain stopped talking in the middle.

Soon he falls on the floor with a thud as blood starts to come out from his forehead. They saw a hole in the middle of his forehead and a weird gun in the hand of the man.

"You.."

*bang* another fall on the ground floor.

"Anyone else?"

All of them came out of their stupor when they heard his question. They started to shake uncontrollably as fear gripped their heart. They were pirates and killed many but facing some strong men still made them cowards.

Lucius looked at them expressionlessly and asked "Who is the navigator?"

Everyone looked at a man and Lucius also followed their eyes.

He walked to the man and said "Take me to the nearest island." He looked at all the other pirates and said "Help him. And clean the deck and also take off the flag."

All the pirates nodded their heads like chickens picking up rice grains. They started to clean the ship at their fastest speed.

Lucius stands at the ship's head and lights a cigarette. He took a big puff and felt the breeze on his face.
