Vampire Outcast (5)

Trevor felt ridiculed when he saw the clothes the elders prepared for him to wear to the ritual. His lips twisted in disgust when he put on the clothes and even Jeffrey pitied him.

Wearing a fine suit to his funeral made him realize how bad things were going to be. There was no way he was going to let them decide his fate, he wasn't going to let himself die at their hands.

"Trevor, you look dead gorgeous" Mateo, one of the young generations of vampires complimented.

Trevor only knew his name because he's been popular lately. Trevor ignored his comment and continued walking towards the elders while his mind constantly revolved around 'Call'.

"Trevor" the short vampire elder called out. During his stay, Trevor learned that the elder's name was Carmon.

"You have no idea how helpful you are to do this and you will be rewarded," another elder said.

Trevor had to muster the entirety of his self-control not to reply with a sarcastic statement. So the best he could do was give a fake smile.

After exchanging a few words, non of which he replied to he was led to the platform set up at the front. It had three chains dangling from the ceiling. Something snapped inside his head and he turned to the elders with cold eyes.

"I am already here doesn't that already prove a lot, do you have to ruin the little image I have of you?!!"

"Try to understand, it might be a bit painful so we don't want you to destroy a lot of things, we'll take them off as soon as you're done," Brenda said, trying to salvage the situation.

"You still haven't told me what this ritual is for" Trevor probed.

"It's too in the great the Pirrn bloodline inside you, only then can you be one of us" elder Carmon replied.

Trevor nodded. All his doubts had been cleared up, non of them deserved to live. He asked no more questions and let them do as they pleased.

He could see it in their faces, some of them thought he was stupid while some thought he had no choice, the last group thought he was grateful to the Pirrn family for taking care of him so far but only he knew what he was waiting for.

An elder came forward and chain his wrists and neck, even his ankles were not spared, and only then did he notices that there were two chains on the floor.

He was standing in the eye of a pattern drawn with blood but he couldn't tell if it was just his blood in there.

The pattern was large and circular l, having many intersections and on each intersection, different parts of monsters were drawn. Trevor could make a picture of the entire creature and just decided to put his focus elsewhere.

The ritual was about to begin and he had to make sure his mind was always clear so he could summon 'Call' in the middle of the ritual but too bad he had underestimated the level of pain he would have to endure.

As the ceremony started, he was first given a green liquid to drink, it tasted horrible, to say the least, but he expected much worse so his mind did not dwell on the taste for too long.

Then a hot dagger was used to cut out a symbol on his back. Trevor screamed and writhed in pain when the dagger came in contact with his skin, At that instant, he just knew something was added to the dagger he didn't know if it was poison or not but a foreign feeling invaded his body.

Trevor stopped taking chances and decided to summon 'Call' he had already lost enough blood anyway, he might die if he kept losing more.

Jeffrey stood at the side watching everything without blinking. Trevor did not notice it but he did, the pattern on the ground and the symbol on his back were glowing with the same intense light and the parts were coming to life, some had already started fussing together.

Trevor closed his eyes but his eyes shot open a few seconds later, realizing a red glow.

"CALL!!!"

Everyone paused, Trevor's shout caught them off-guard.

"Quick, kill him, kill him now!!!" elder Carmon bellowed after regaining himself but it was already too late.

"My poor descendant" sounded from behind Trevor, they could not see any figure, only a black fog was rising, making him less and less visible. "You summoned me...I...have...come"

Trevor only smiled before falling unconscious.

'There has to be something wrong with that dagger' Jeffrey concluded in his mind before watching the drama that was about to unfold.

"I never wanted to interfere..."

Call's full body materialized in front of everyone and Jeffrey stood shocked.

Call looked like a girl of just 17 or 18 years. She was wearing a black evening dress with a deep neck and a slit on the left side of the dress.

Silver clips held some strands of her hair up and because her skin was very pale, it somehow matched the silver hair clips. Then her red eyes matched her red lips perfectly and it made her look both attractive and dangerous.

'How old was she when she went into slumber anyway?' Jeffrey was really curious but he decided to wait.

"These are whom my mom disowned me for" Call laughed coldly. The coldness seeped into everyone in the room and they were terrified.

"What did he do, because he's like me, is that a justified reason to kill him?"

Seeing no one was responding, Call grew annoyed and then the next thing they saw was a head rolling on the ground and it was the head of an elder.

"Don't move so fast, you'll scare them easily" Call chuckled.

"They refused to answer me," she said again answering herself.

Jeffrey realized that it must be her alter-ego talking. Some of the younger generations who couldn't realize that sooner had their eyes rolled to the back of their head.

Jeffrey noticed that some of them had lost consciousness and the others were shivering. The fact that their elders were too scared to act made things worse for them.

I was very ill these past few days and had to go for treatment. Sorry for the low uodate I'll try to make it up now that I'm getting better.
