When Zakhir came into view, he appeared to be standing close to someone else but Jeffrey ignored the figure and focused on Zakhir...but after drawing close, he stopped in his tracks as he stared at Evie with surprise.

"How are you here?"

"I shouldn't be?" Evie tilted her head to the side. "But you're also here...and it sounds as if this isn't strange to you"

Philip was thinking of something else, just now Zakhir had been in his dragon form and Evie is with him now, so does that mean...

Jeffrey had also thought of this and glanced at Zakhir with a raised eyebrow. They had to talk but not here so he sent his consciousness back to his body and without him, the others could not stay there.

As they disappeared they did not realize that Mateo was standing somewhere far and saw everything. It was not his will to eavesdrop but seeing that Philip and Jeffrey left, in a hurry, he followed the since he also wanted to stock up on his rations. No one knew how long the disaster would last after all.

When he first saw the dragon, he could not believe his eyes and then he saw the dragon transform into a human...after that, he watched them disappear.

"Those people are weird..." that statement caused the dimensions to be still for a moment and then a tattoo appeared on his wrist which he did not notice at first.

"She saw you in your dragon form" Jeffrey stared at Zakhir, it was more of a statement than a question.

"You should figure out how she got there in the first place and since she did not enter through you then no one knows the consequence of something happening to her...so you should be thanking me" Zakhir scoffed.

Philip stepped up. "Zakhir is for of right but what matters now is convincing Evie that what she saw was merely a dream"

Zakhir and Jeffrey turned to him with disbelief...convince her it was a dream, yeah right because she was stupid.

"Why would you suggest such a thing?" Jeffrey sighed.

"Do you plan on telling her about your ability... what do you think is more crazy" Philip scoffed with his arms folded.

Jeffrey was about to reply when a strong light suddenly burst forth from his body and a book floated out of him. He immediately recognized the book as the one he received that day.

Wasn't it destroyed?

The trio watched as the pages flipped open in mid-air and after a while, it stopped and on the pages it stopped, Jeffeey saw the drawing of Mateo and above his head was the title of Evie's comic 'The Last Humans'

After the three had seen it, the book closed its pages and another weird scenario happened. The lock which once had Mandrel's signature was suddenly removed and a different lock was formed but with no pattern whatsoever.

After the transformation, the book once again disintegrated and this time Jeffrey knew for sure it was still inside him.

"What the heck just happened?!" Philip exclaimed.

"Even I don't know, everything involving this book is so mysterious and I have to figure it out myself" Jeffrey sighed.

'Not even a hint' he thought inwardly. He had no problem with the book being mysterious but at least he should be made familiar with the rules of this ability but everything was up to him to discover.

Even Mangrell refused to come out at a time like this so he had only himself to rely on.

He was already famished and decided to eat something before trying to figure out what was going on but before that, his phone rang, and seeing the caller he felt a headache coming up.

Jeffrey picked up the phone but waited for the person on the other side to speak first.

"It was real wasn't it?" Evie's voice said through the phone.

Zakhir and Philip turned to Jeffrey waiting for how he will respond and with a straightforward tone he said. "Yes"

Everyone remained silent for quite some time before Evie spoke again. "How did you do it?"

"We might as well speak when we meet?" Jeffrey sighed.

Evie understood and hang up the phone.

Seeing Zakhir and Philip gawking at him, he raised a brow and asked. "What?"

"You're gonna tell her?" they both asked with a face filled with surprise.

"Or what? should I let her reign in her curiosity and bring the question to someone else...that is worse and besides if I'm the one answering the questions I know how much you tell her" Jeffrey said indifferently.

"Do you?... because from what I know, you lack the ability to lie" Philip said seriously.

"And there is no need for me to, I just won't speak about it"

"Look this is serious...what if she goes about telling everyone else?" Philip was still worried, even he knew that you cannot easily trust someone with this kind of thing.

"She won't... at least I hope she doesn't" Jeffrey frowned. He understood where Philip was coming from and did not want to disregard such possibility but things have already reached this point.

"Hope? Come on...you're betting a lot on this"

"Do you have a suggestion then? and I mean a good one"

"..."

"Like I thought...just leave it be, I don't think Evie is that kind of person anyway," Jeffrey said.

The three of them then heard a knock on the door and stopped their discussion.

"Mom asked you to come down for dinner" Moon's voice sounded from the other side of the door. "And oh you have a guest"

After saying that, she left but the trio stared at each other, a guest, could it be Evie?

That thought did not linger much since Evie wouldn't have gotten there so fast so it had to be someone else. If it was May then Moon would have directly said it was her and not say it was a guest.

Jeffrey decided to stop guessing and decided to go downstairs to see for himself. Halfway down he saw the back of a guy that looked strangely familiar.

He was speaking to Moon and seeing her turn towards the stairs he turned as well and the trio paused their steps as if they had been struck by lightning.

"Hello relative from the future..."
