The Oppean City

I closed my eyes and decided to do so until he arrives at the destination.

Ive never felt this sleepy in long, I wanted to just go to sleep as the view outside started to become darker. I felt dizzy at the speed of light or whatever this was.

Josh awoke me "Hey, Wake up Zara."

When I opened my eyes, we were here.. Oppean. It was nothing like I've seen before, there were building constructions very disproportionately placed in paradoxical structures. The town like area was still operational and lively spread in a long line, some of the buildings had pink colour leaking from its lights and somehow it looked fused with a really cyber aesthetic reality.

Somehow, this was the colour that remained most prominent to my visuals, the rest looked like dark caves with luminous light that moved dimly around it. I couldn't tell what they were.

He was next to me still inside the car and even he zoned out at the sight of this pink city. I wondered why.

I looked around to see if the moon was in the night sky. Maybe I wasn't looking from the right direction, it may be behind Josh's own dome. I thought to myself this would feel like that perfect scene from some sci-fi romance, since we were inside the car, it could've fit this moment if the moon displayed in the sky.

"So...this is Oppean. You won't see anything now except pink lights dripping from those buildings, it's pretty usual. Sometimes it overflows and causes a flood of pink light, it's just something strange we've gotten used to now. You require personalized optics to retain beso morph visuals. I'll give one to you."

It was still a view very far away from where Josh landed the vehicle, I stepped out of it and see this was the launch pad, Pink and Black hues of light surrounded what seemed to look like a cave afloat from that city far away. This was probably just his garage. It looked really attractive though. It's not like there were no trees or bio-diversities around, as I started to hear insects buzzing.

"Your garage is real attractive, Josh. And there are insects buzzing, how unusual for a place like that. I feel like I'm still dreaming." said to him and I felt somewhat much closer to him now and felt my trust levels for him building up. I was hesitant, I'll admit.

"This is nothing, Birds chirp and sing during the day time. You'd love it Zara." he said while shutting his vehicle down.

"Here are the Keys to the Wisp, it's yours now. Ive had a feeling inside, it's always been yours. Don't say anything and now let's enter my dome, there I will introduce you to a few of my friends, who are also my colleagues."

he was walking towards me with his hand reaching for mine as the front shutter of the garage closed.

"I'm so excited to know about you." Josh held my hand and pulled me closer to him and started to take me towards a black colored door.

"So where does this door lead us, wait! let me guess, is it magical?" I persisted

"Not exactly magical, but there are wonders you would wish you discovered earlier." his eyes were glistening not looking into mine but being captivated inside his own.

"Hey Zara." he slightly shrugged and said to me

"Yeah." I looked at him with a smile

"I like you alot but you wouldn't understand me even if I explained it."

"I like you too..this is all too emotional and heavy on me because my boring life has never made me feel this excited before. Its interesting here and maybe i sound cliche but i have a feeling that this is a coil I've yet to unwind." I said holding my temple with my fingers and feeling my own emotional state.

"You know I've been alone here. People around me that are close to me, I consider them family. I hope you feel the same about me...because when I see your face it makes me want to cry knowing that you will deny how much I care for you. I've still have to meet the Warlock I've an appointment with, Oyrisi Sylls.

He has been a part of this system, ever since he merged his with ours to unite as a pact in our Secret Agency.

"I've been updated by my friends that Ive been put under a spell, a compulsion before I left for that Pub through a portal. I don't know what happened after, my memories about the compulsion were extracted by him."

He dialed some digits on the dial pad next to the black door and it opened.

It wasn't like the garage. Infact the extremely bright light almost blinded me and made me squint. I couldn't see anything for a moment, and it wasn't night time any longer. This door lead us to day time. Nothing seemed more insane than this.

There were stairways that lead down to a pathway made from stones, the sky was clear and bright and on the pathway was another door.

I didn't say much because honestly, it startled me to a point where I didn't think speaking would do any justice to my fascination.

He holds my hand still and now walks towards the other door, this one didn't have any dial pad. It just had to be unlatched, which is what he did.

When we entered this door, it seemed to look like a home but a very home with very hi-tech advancements, designed in what seemed to look like intricately engineered purple blue and luminous lights, looked like strobes, except they weren't swirling or moving.

Whatever it was, this material plane did not seem to look cheap with lights that were of darker aesthetic.

He pressed something on his robot watch. The place transformed into strange compartments of rooms that looked like each served a different purpose. The entrances to all these compartments looked electric, the doors were all made of different organized shapes; angles, square, circle, triangles etc made from different fabrications of quality, even plastic. It seemed to be supported by some kind of an Artificial Intelligence.

"This is my home, make yourself comfortable first." he said turning on the lights in a finer corner yet larger, where his common sofa room lie.

"I'll show you what each of these compartments signify. Like this one here." he instantly holds my hand again despite him switching his common area lights on, enthusiastically takes me to a door embellished in the shape of a circular design.

"Okay Zara, Don't freak out and think I'm some twisted pervert, but I call this the brain sex cubicle. It's programmed to make participants engage in sexual activities with the endless capabilities of their brains, and includes augmented stimulations if you want it.

"One can even use it alone." he tried to conceal the blood rushing to his cheeks out of the embarrassment of the thought that this could be him wanking off, in the presence of my current imagination.

"Oh" I said and tried not to appear judgemental or triggered by how aroused this would make anyone feel.

"It's purposes are made for other use too, OH MY GOD, ZARA. You're judging me aren't you? I've always said to ppl to keep an open mind before I disclose this cubicle to them."

leaving signs of emotional hindrance in plain sight.
