Start from the End

He'd wanted the end of the world, but he'd never imagined it to be so dull.

Clouds of dust grew in great plumes, the souls of what remained leaving to go some place else. He'd grown accustomed to the sound of his footsteps. The wind whipped away the dust, clearing the path before him.

Abruptly, he clutched his splitting head and fell to his knees, breathing heavily as to control himself. He couldn't last. With hands as shaky as his breath, he reached towards the hilt of his sword.

"I wonder what you're going to do with that sword~"

The man froze, slowly looking up. There was what seemed to be a woman sitting on a pile of debris, her long black hair floating in the wind. He did not recognise her face, but he knew her voice.

The man breathed in. He breathed out.

She was not human.

With firm hands, he unsheathed his sword. "Who are you."

"Straight to the point." She put her arms up, revealing the sharp claws she had for hands "That's not like the person I know! Come on, play around a little. Get a little flirty, mess around and have fun." She smiled crept on her face. " That's what you said, isn't it?"

He gripped his sword tighter. "I said, who are you."

She scratched her head, sighing. "Boring." She jumped down, her landing disturbing none of her surroundings."That sword could hurt someone, you know."

The sword wasn't there anymore. But he had been prepared for that.

Silently, he threw out his hands infront of him, unleashing a gust of wind, sending her flying into the debris.

She was right in his face. She grabbed his hands and forced his arms up, and with a gasp he felt any power in his fingers disappear. He fell to the floor, coughing and spluttering, glaring at her with bloodshot eyes.

She was gone. Back to the pile of debris she sat on before. She was gazing softly at the horizon. "This place is set to implode. After that, everything'll restart, and we'll live to see another creative way that God and the angels mess things up again."

His eyes widened at this, but quickly became mask-like as he caught himself.

She put her head on her hand, as if she was in deep thought. "I don't know why it happens, but I know there was at least one…time, for lack of a better word in your language, before this one. I happen to know it quite intimately, and," She grinned maliciously. "so do you, even if you don't think so."

The world crumbled around them, as the horizon grew closer and closer towards them.

A smile touched her lips as she looked down knowingly at the conflicted man infront of her.

The man clenched his fists, staring down at the floor with troubled eyes. With a sigh, he got to his feet and brushed himself off.

"Tell me… About that place."

This has almost 0 impact on the plot and is just an idea that popped into my head, so if you're confused, good.

Maybe in 5 or 10 years this will be a massive plot point, but for now? Don't worry

Stay hydrated and do ur homework. good luck <33
