8: Powerful

Accompanied by a calm yet proud voice, Lynn raised his right hand as if catching the raging flames from the air. In response, the flame wave came to a sudden halt. Within a fraction of a second, the blazing flames visibly disappeared, pouring into Lynn's palm like a whale sucking water.

Before John could react, Lynn had already flicked his fingers.

Fireballs the size of basketballs shot out from the void like continuous cannonballs.

Not knowing how to use a fireball would be unforgivable for a magician, and Lynn's mastery of it was enough to make the third-level mutant "Pyro" John feel despair.

In no time, more than ten fireballs appeared in front of John.

The shapeshifter Kevin screamed in horror, trying to invade Lynn's brain with his telepathy. However, he felt as though he had hit an impenetrable wall, experiencing a sharp noise in his mind and seeing stars.

Simultaneously, the third fireball stretched out, transforming into a long whip that wrapped around and flicked lightly.

Another figure was sent flying. John finally came to his senses and urgently warned everyone around him to dodge.

Lynn didn't give them a chance, as the fourth fireball swelled against the wind, instantly transforming into a three-meter-high flame giant. With the power of wind and thunder, the fire fist sent a super-hardened man soaring into the air.

At the same time, the fifth fireball stretched quietly, turning into a flame hammer that shattered the suddenly appearing light shield into pieces.

The owner of the light shield followed in Bishop's footsteps.

Meanwhile, under Petra's horrified gaze, the sixth fireball quickly compressed, becoming flat like a wheel, and then split apart, transforming into one, two, three, four... a total of seven flaming blades.

Petra felt as though she was in a dream, activating her ability subconsciously. Countless rocks surged from the ground, supporting her like stone pillars.

The seven flaming blades sliced through the stone pillars, turning them into pieces in the blink of an eye, terrifying Petra. However, her fear was short-lived, as a strange hiss sounded from the broken and collapsed stone pillar beneath her.

Immediately after that, a coquettish giant snake made entirely of flames jumped out from the gap between the stone pillars, wrapping around her tightly in an instant!

The scorching heat wave hit her face, and Petra felt as though her body was melting.

While Petra was being overwhelmed, only Calvin the Mimic remained beside John.

Everything happened so fast that Calvin didn't even have time to say a word before Lynn's seventh fireball appeared in front of him.

"Humph!"

Though Calvin seemed untroubled, his mimicry ability allowed him to simulate the superpowers of others within a certain range around him. He couldn't mimic the powers of those far away, like Principal Charles or Cyclops in the office.

However, at this moment, Teacher Orolo, Storm, was in the auditorium.

"Mimicry, activate!"

In an instant, Calvin felt a wave of storm force pouring into his body. Faced with the menacing fireball, he instinctively thought of water. But to his dismay, the fireball turned blue without extinguishing. It remained unaffected by the pouring rain!

"This isn't ordinary fire..."

This realization didn't help his situation. Calvin helplessly watched as the blue fireball split into two halves; one blasted him away, and the other blocked Storm as she rushed over from the other side.

"Lynn, just teach them a lesson. John and the others mean no harm!"

Storm stood in the air, surrounded by strong winds and lightning, looking at the blue flames with fear in her eyes.

Ignoring Storm's plea, Lynn pressed his right hand in the air, and the remaining seven or eight fireballs accelerated, all heading straight for John.

His dodging speed was insufficient against these fireballs.

A series of explosions resounded throughout the academy. Before John could react, the ground around him erupted, and he was engulfed in flames!

The flames burned more and more vigorously, spreading over half of the arena in a matter of seconds. Then, suddenly...

The wind picked up!

The fire took advantage of the wind, and the wind assisted the fire, forming a careful flame tornado that quickly stirred up.

Being in the very center of the storm, fear consumed John's heart. Everything seemed like a terrible nightmare that had suddenly come to life.

He stood there in a daze, watching the flame storm destroy his body, but at the moment it attacked, the flames disappeared, replaced by a giant nine-headed snake even larger than the lava snake demon, crushing him layer by layer.

As Lynn had said ten seconds ago:

"You know nothing about fire!"

This whole scene unfolded in mere seconds—from John's violent attack to Lynn's overpowering response. Lynn didn't go all-out, skillfully controlling his powers so that John and the others suffered minimal damage. Yet, this scene would be etched in the souls of all present and never forgotten.

All eyes were on Lynn, and there was only one thought in everyone's hearts:
