As Lynn's words spread, an unusual sensation enveloped everyone, T'Challa included.
The ambient temperature surged suddenly.
Wakanda resided in Africa, a region renowned for its scorching heat. T'Challa and the others were accustomed to high temperatures, yet they now felt an intense burning sensation that pricked at their skin.
This burning sensation wasn't solely from the external environment; it emanated partly from within, as if their very souls were ablaze.
Everyone raised their heads subconsciously—
In the high sky, a colossal meteorite plummeted, accompanied by majestic flames. From a distance, it grew larger and larger. Wherever it passed, the sky twisted strangely.
A sense of terror and oppression that threatens to destroy the world crushes in the air.
Everyone's faces turned extremely pale in an instant, and the black panther was like a feline blowing fur, its tailbone trembling violently.
"Activate the defense barrier! Energize to 100%!"
T'Challa's urgent roar rang out, his voice full of panic.
To conserve energy, Wakanda's outer energy barrier generally operated with minimal defensive strength. Its primary functions were concealment and detection.
In theory, once the barrier reached 100% power, no earthly weapon could breach it. Shielding against a meteorite seemed simple, at least in theory...
However, since Wakanda developed this energy barrier technology, when had they ever encountered a falling meteorite? It wasn't as though they could simply summon a meteorite for testing!
Moreover, the meteorite now descending from the sky evidently differed from the norm.
During its high-velocity descent, it aggressively scraped against the atmosphere, yet its size remained constant. As it neared, it expanded, visible to the naked eye.
Moreover, the hue of the flames that engulfed it changed wildly. From red to crimson, maroon to purple, ultimately turning black...
The meteorite's flame turned to black.
Though the implication of this sight eluded them, the unprecedented black flames stirred terror and destruction in T'Challa and the rest.
Most significantly—
When the black meteorite was merely a hundred meters from the defense barrier, a cascade of smaller fiery meteorites appeared, rapidly emerging in succession until they virtually blanketed the sky!
This magic wasn't singular in nature.
[Six Rings Magic -Meteor Storm]
[Six Rings - Fire God's Extinguishing]
This very spell gave Lynn to infiltrate Wakanda alone.
Recently, his magical prowess had skyrocketed, thanks to constant practice and advancement. He has reached the level of the sixth ring.
Six-rings magic is known as a Forbidden Curse. Its might greatly surpassed that of five-rings magic.
"My Gid!!"
T'Challa and the others gasped, breath hitching. The situation was beyond terrifying, eroding their faith in Wakanda's formidable abilities...
Could a person in this world truly wield such overwhelming power? Could this figure be a legendary god?
Amidst the dire straits, King T'Chaka of Wakanda, remained unseen, could no longer remain inactive.
"Mr. Lynn, Wakanda and the mutants share no enmity. This is a misunderstanding..."
A significantly more opulent and advanced aircraft zoomed forth from the palace, carrying an apologetic voice: "Kindly rescind your power. Wakanda will welcome the King of Mutants with the utmost etiquette."
Lynn raised an eyebrow, a half-smile tugging at his lips.
"How efficient??!"
Under the almost dull eyes of T'Challa and others, he casually raised his right hand. He extended a finger skyward and hooked it lightly.
The next moment, the dense cluster of black-flamed, smaller meteorites vanished, transforming into meteor fragments that collided with the defense barrier.
As for the largest meteorite, its black flames surged higher before tracing a graceful arc, brushing the defense barrier, and hurtling toward the distant west.
There lay a pristine forest.
Boom!
A deafening explosion resounded suddenly, the soaring black flames piercing the heavens. In an instant, half the sky plunged into darkness, as if the entire expanse had been devoured whole.
Though distant, the populace still felt the intense heatwave and the powerful gusts of wind. The ground shuddered incessantly for a prolonged period.
The sound of gasping for air came and went.
Even though they hadn't directly witnessed the meteorite's potency, the terrible darkness almost swallowed even Wakanda, obviously it was definitely not an ordinary flame.
The potential repercussions upon striking the defense barrier... The outcome could be cataclysmic.
Fortunately, although the power of those small meteorite fragments is also very strong, they are firmly blocked by the defensive cover.
T'Challa exhaled deeply, glancing at the approaching royal vehicle: "Father..."
The reigning King of Wakanda, also clad in a Black Panther suit, disembarked from the aircraft.
A few rapid strides brought him face to face with Lynn.
King to King.
"Mr. Lynn's powers are truly astonishing..."
T'Chaka is worthy of being the king of a country, with extraordinary knowledge and bearing. Seeing that Lynn accepted the magic without hesitation, he knew that Lynn was not malicious.
Therefore, when he spoke, it was as if what happened just now had never happened at all.
The strong are always respected.
Especially in Wakanda, a wild place with advanced technology but advocating personal force.
"I, T'Chaka, reigning king of Wakanda, extend a warm welcome to the esteemed King of Mutants!"
T'Chaka withdrew his mask, casting a beaming smile at Lynn: "I wonder what counsel Mr. Lynn brings during this visit?"
"Greetings, King T'Chaka!"
Lynn's demeanor remained cordial, as if the preceding scene bore no relation to him.
He spoke as candidly as ever: "I've heard that Wakanda, despite its seclusion, boasts the Earth's highest level of technology. Representing the mutants, I have naturally come to establish diplomatic relations and foster mutual technological exchange."
His words were highly formal, leaving T'Chaka momentarily bewildered.
The Black Panther and the others were even more bewildered.
"With due respect..."
T'Chaka paused, then continued, "Mutants, as it stands, lack a nation, so how can we talk about diplomacy?"
His prior address of Lynn as the "King of Mutants" had been mostly a formality.
Given Wakanda's sophisticated intelligence network, it gleaned many details about the world beyond. Unquestionably, it understood mutants as a marginalized faction excluded from mainstream society.
For such a faction to seek diplomatic relations? From any perspective, it seemed fantastical.
"Not at present, but the future remains open."
Lynn's smile remained unwavering, exuding confidence and composure.
T'Chaka was slightly shocked when he thought of the strength he had shown just now.
While the mutants lacked Wakanda's technological advancement, they boasted powerful abilities. If united to form a nation...it didn't seem far-fetched?
Once this thought struck him, T'Chaka stopped his entanglement. Still, doubt lingered in his gaze: "Regarding technical exchanges...?"
Wakanda's technological supremacy was irrefutable!
Technical exchange? What could mutants possibly offer in return?
This query lingered in Black Panther's and Wakanda's minds alike.
Lynn harbored no secrets: "Certainly, Vibranium!"
With this utterance, the pupils of Wakanda's inhabitants constricted.
Just as expected. All visitors to Wakanda invariably sought Vibranium.
