Departing Early

"Your back early", dad said

"Well yeah, I got done sooner than I thought." I lied

"Oh well that's good I guess," Dad said

"I think I'm just going to go to my room Dad"

"That's fine but before you march upstairs when is Mom coming home? I would have thought you two would come back together., he said

I usually don't lie but when I do I always pull it off flawlessly.

"She is just finishing a few errands for God or something and she didn't want me to be bored so she suggested I just come home. Is that okay?"

"I can't believe that man. He's trying to make my wife work overtime. I don't think so. He'll regret it, that's for sure!" Dad growled

"Just calm down Dad, how about we spend some quality time with Cerberus? He'll enjoy it." I said

"I can't argue with you." he said

We took turns throwing people's bones at Cerberus until Mom came home. As soon as she got back I hightailed it to my room and slammed the door. She can't get that mad right? I never heard of an angry angel. Actually, take that back once upon a time my dad was an angry angel and look where that got him.

*Knock knock* " Luna let me in, we need to talk."

I let her in and good thing I did or I would have made her suspicious. She had no idea about the incident that took place earlier. What a relief. Although I'm sure God knows and he'll tell Mom sooner or later.

"Honey, I hope your talk with Markis went extremely well because I have great news." she said

"Yeah, I learned a lot." I said

Just not what I wanted.

"Good, so God talked with me and he thinks you're ready to leave already tomorrow." she said

My jaw just dropped out of plain shock. Why didn't he just tell Mom what happened earlier? Was this a trick? Does God pull tricks? I hope not.
