The village of rot and despair was a place where the very air seemed to cling to the skin like a leech. The stench of decay was everywhere, and hope was a stranger to the place. Amongst the squalor, a child was born, a child with a black marking on his right hand, an unusual physical trait that would forever mark him as an outcast in the eyes of the other villagers.
Landon, born in a village of rot and despair, was marked from the moment of his birth by the black marking on his right hand. The villagers, superstitious and fearful, saw the mark as a curse and shunned the child. Landon was an outcast, a stranger in his own home, and the villagers bestowed upon him the name 'The Damned of Fate'. He grew up in isolation, with only the echoes of his own thoughts for company
Landon, a child of seven summers, did wander the village, a marked outcast. His wandering led him to the edge of the village, where he stumbled upon a mysterious figure. The figure spoke in a voice as old as time itself.
"Landon, the Damned of Fate, thou art marked by the gods. Thy mark is not a curse but a blessing, a sign of thy destiny. A destiny to bring forth the age of the absolute will."
Landon, confused and unsure, asked the figure, "But what does that mean, kind sir? What is the absolute will?"
The figure's voice grew soft and a warmth filled Landon's heart. "The absolute will is the will of the divine, the will of the universe. It is the will that all things must strive for, and it is thy duty to bring about that will. Thou shall know what it is when the time comes. Trust in thy power, Landon, the Damned of Fate."
As Landon, the Damned of Fate, did grow in strength and wisdom, he did come to understand that the black marking on his hand was not a curse, but a blessing. A sign of something greater, a destiny written in the stars. He did discover that he possessed a power, a strange and ancient power, the power to bend reality to his will. He did understand that he was chosen by the gods, a reincarnation of the last wish of the gods, a vessel of power.
Landon's destiny was to spread the absolute will, to bring forth the age of balance and harmony, to bring about a new era of peace and prosperity for all people. He knew that his journey would not be easy, for the fiends, born from the corruption of the land, do still roam the land. But Landon, the Damned of Fate, was determined to fulfill his destiny, no matter the cost. He would bring about the absolute will, and change the fate of the land and his own fate forever.
Landon, the Damned of Fate, did reach the age of ten summers and memories did flood his mind. Memories of a life before the village of rot and despair, memories of a life where he was not the outcast, but a child of light. Memories of a life where he was taken, taken from his true home, and thrown into the Earthen Hell, a place where the dead roamed.
But as he remembered, the reality did shift, the memories did fade, and the Earthen Hell did disappear. The villagers did not remember the taking, the murder, or the Earthen Hell. Landon was the only one who remembered, and he knew that this was not mere coincidence. He knew that he possessed a power, a power to bend reality to his will. And he knew that he must use this power to uncover the truth, the truth of his past, the truth of his destiny.
