CHAPTER 75: Suspicions

　　Ryder

　　I decided to take Demi to a spot my grandfather once showed me a long time ago. It’s one of his and my grandmother’s favorite places to escape to, and only they, my parents, and I know about it. Demi held my hand as we both flew over the packlands and into a dense forest. We let our wings dissolve and followed a unkept trail through the thick brush and trees. I breath the fresh air that offered the calming scent of earth and rain. My Lycan hummed within me. My dragon hated it, as its impossible to fly through.

　　We walked through the forest for about ten minutes before the trees and vegetation thinned enough to allow us to see where exactly I was taking Demi. I heard her breath catch in her throat as she first laid eyes on the setting around us.
