The council of the alphas convened the following day to discuss Clara's fate. Kane knows this could be his last opportunity to try and convince his fellow alphas on why Clara should be kept alive. Instead of staying under the usual shade of large trees, they chose a new meeting ground. It was a building made with bricks and well decorated with various paintings. Inside, was a small hall where they had gathered. They all sat on the wooden chairs. However, Kane's sit was slightly elevated above the other alphas.
