THERE were a lot of things that I imagined would happen at that moment. I never thought it to be Thomas giving up his position as Alpha of Old Oak to us in exchange for the life of his son.

I looked over at Alpha Nathaniel and saw he was looking intently at Thomas. It was as if he was trying to figure out what my cousin was thinking. It was unusual for an Alpha to easily give up his pack. I do not know if he had talked about this with the wolves in Old Oak. I definitely doubt that because he has spent the past days in the prison cells guarding his pregnant mate.

Alpha Dennis still looked reluctant but I knew he was going to accept Thomas’ offer. Old Oak was just near Flamed Rue. It would expand his pack territory and he would gain more control of the wolves in that area. I have no desire to have more pack land as Dark Mountains was huge already.
