THE news that Alpha Thomas was in an accident came as a shock. Old Oak’s Beta contacted Connor, telling him that their Alpha was hit by a car when he and Diana were visiting the town nearby their territory. This came as a surprise as werewolves are known to have fast reflexes.

“He was unconscious when he was brought to their infirmary to be treated,” Connor told me, looking out the window of his office.

"How is he?" I asked.

"Got some broken bones, minor cuts, concussion. The Beta told me he’s stable now, but their main concern is his head injury."

"His wolf genes will fix him up quickly.”

Connor turned to face me, a frown marred his face. “That’s what I was thinking, but the doctors in the pack said he’s not healing at the normal pace that he should be, being an Alpha.”

“What do you mean? It was just a car accident.”

“He’s still unconscious so they couldn’t ask him anything.”

“And what about Diana? She was with him.”
