Chapter 31

Tara

WAITING was never really for me. I hated it. And now as I stood outside on the porch of the packhouse, waiting for Connor and Luke to arrive, I felt so many emotions rush in all at once.

They have only been gone for three days. I never heard from Connor the whole time; he never messaged or called me, which was not comforting. I kept thinking of so many bad things that could have happened to them as they were away. I knew it wasn’t so good to overthink and be anxious, but my wolf couldn't stop it. The mate bond became even stronger after I was formally introduced as Luna.

Being the Luna of the pack didn’t really change a lot of the things I had to do here. I just had to spend more time in the packhouse, which I found was a good diversion. I didn’t want to spend a lot of my time in the house all alone. Leo stayed there the whole time, but it just felt different without Connor.
