Chapter Three
The next day had him sitting in his office with Lynn on the sofa reading. His warriors walked in to give their report. Lynn smiled as she saw Kar rubbing his head. She waited till he wasn't looking then flicked a rubber band watching it sail and hit him in the head. She quickly went back to her book. When he went back to his work, she flicked one at his Bata. Then made it look like she was reading again.
Five rubber bands later Lynn was trying to hold in her laugh when she felt a rubber band hit her arm. Her head snapped up. She saw everyone was talking to Kar. Two can play that game she says to herself. Lynn yawned and stood up to walk away. As she left, she had a plan. Lynn found her three friends. Mark, Joe, and Dan, they were younger warriors and often followed her around as guards.
"They are too stuffy in there its time to make them take a break." She tells them. "What did you have in mind Lynn?" she smiled as she sat in a building with a paintball gun. Looking into the scope she sees her mate and smiles. "I love you, baby." She mind links him then fires. When yelps are heard she keeps firing. "Oh, my dear Luna. Where are you my love?" he asks. She hits him again. "I'm not telling sweetheart." She says hitting his arm.
Kar grins as he hunts for his mate. "Sorry baby but I'm not there anymore." She taunts him then he is hit again. This time the shot came from back towards the house. "If you find me my loving mate then you can mark me." She says. "If I hit you 4 more times then I get whatever I want deal?" Kar chuckles. "Deal."
Lynn smiles as she sees him give control to Miko. She fires and hits the wolf in the tail. "Oh, my dear mate I will find you." She shivers as Miko's voice sends chills down her spine. She fires once more. "That's two love. Hope you find me soon." She says. "When did my sexy mate get so stealthy?" Miko asks. She fires another shot. "Since your pack has been teaching me everything, I will need to know to be a proper Luna love." She fires again. "That's four sweetheart I win."
She shifts and lets her wolf have fun. Ulva and Miko run to each other playfully attacking each other in the back yard. When they are down, and showered Lynn is in the kitchen cooking stuffed chicken with pasta. "So, what does my mate want?" Kar asks as he walks over to her. He nuzzles her neck. "I want us to become a fully mated pair Kar." He looks at her as she places dinner on a plate. She puts it in front of him and grabs her own.
The next morning has her sore but in a way, she does not mind. Kar playfully nips at the mate mark in her shoulder. "How are you feeling sweetheart?" she turned in his arms. "Great. Can I go to the mall I will take the boys with me?" Kar smiles down at her. She has grown into a fine Luna. All in the pack loved her and felt protective of her. "Yes, Lynn you can. Just keep our link open okay." She kissed him. "I promise I will. Oh, does your pack have a pack tattoo?" he shook his head no.
Lynn walks into a store and smiles as a woman walks out. "Luna, how may I help you?" Lynn talks to her then 4 hours later walks out with a smile. "Kar is either going to kill us or love it." They get some food for dinner and head back home. Lynn takes a shower then walks down to the kitchen.
Kar looks up and growls. "Mine." That's when he sees the bandage on her arm. "Lynn what happened?" she smiled as she walked over to him. She moved and sat on the counter in front of him. "I had a dream and this image kept popping up in my head." She removed the bandage and showed him the tattoo on her arm. It was a tan wolf with one green eye and one blue. There were purple flowers under the wolf, but it was the silver moon on the wolfs head that drew his attention. "Silver moon pack." She says.
She waits for his reaction. "I love it, Lynn. Why didn't you just tell me though?" she saw his hurt. "I didn't plan on getting it until I walked by the shop." She places her hand on the side of his face. "I'm sorry Kar I should have told you." He leans down and softly kisses her. "Its fine sweetheart. Don't worry about it." She nuzzles his neck and sighs. "I love you, Kar." He grins. "I love you too Lynn."
When a door slams she growls then yells out. "Next person to slam a door won't get dinner." She still flinched at sudden noises like that. Kar laughed at her as she started cooking dinner. When a little girl walked over. "Miss Lynn." Lyn kneeled and picked the child up and sat her on the counter. "It was me that slammed the door. I'm sorry." Kar saw his mate smile as she hugged the child. "Its okay little one. Loud noises just startle me." The child hugged her.
Lynn woke up covered in sweat and looked to see Kar wasn't in bed. She walked to his office and opened the door. "Kar you in here?" she asked. "Lynn are you okay. Baby, you're burning up." She was in his arms. "I had a nightmare. Can I stay in here with you?" Kar picked her up and sat her in his lap. Nuzzling his neck, she quickly fell back asleep.
Kar was finishing up his work when she groaned as if in pain. "Lynn wake up baby." She wouldn't wake up. "Lynn... baby wake up." Her body was burning up. She showed all the signs of wolfbane poisoning. Kar growled then picked her up. Carrying her to there room he laid her down then went to the kitchen. Looking through everything he found the juice that only she likes and sure enough he smelled wolfbane.
Lynn woke up to a loud growl. "Kar where are you love?" she asked weakly. "Finding out who the hell poisoned there Luna." He responded. "What are." She started feeling sick and ran to the bathroom. Suddenly, she was in Kar arms. When she was done throwing up, she looked at him. She felt so weak.
When her eyes closed Kar took her back to their bed and laid her down. His Bata came in and bowed. "Find who did this to our Luna and bring them to me." He growled out. Lynn's hand on his arm tightened as she cried out in pain. "Kar, where are you? Please don't leave me." She whimpered out. Pulling her closer to him. "I'm here love. I won't ever leave you." The next few days were hard on them.
