Chapter 12

They got to the moon alter and Kar held Lynn in his arms as he called out to the moon goddess for help. "Child of the moon how may I help you?" a woman walked forward, and Kar bowed. "Please Goddess my mate she... her wolf attacked me and she blames herself." He says as Lynn just sits there on the ground. "Lynn look at me, child." Kar gets worried when Lynn just stares off. "Her wolf is strong, but this was a test for you both. It was to test your bound and to make sure it was as strong as I hoped. She was able to regain control when she needed it, and you still are at her side even though she had almost killed you. Her wolf has two parts to her. Chandra is the darkness. Not evil just very strong-willed and ready to fight any she deems in her way. Ulva was the light to her darkness. I can bring her back, but her mood will determine who she shifts to. Chandra will be a lot calmer and easier to control. I'm sorry I didn't tell you of this, but I had to be sure for my time is running out."

Kar saw her touch Lynn who let out a gasp and fell backward into his arms. "The light has been restored. All will be revealed in time young Alpha." Kar watched as the Goddess left and he picked up Lynn taking her home. As he laid her in bed, she opened her eyes. "Kar, I feel her. I feel Ulva. She is calming Chandra." He smiled as he took her hand in his. "I have two wolves." She sounded so tired. "Rest love you need it, I did spend all night out in the cold rain. Let me get you some tea." He stood up and she grabbed his hand. "Have someone bring it. Please don't leave my side." He couldn't deny her. So he did as asked. "Kar I'm so sorry. I tried so hard to get her to stop, but she shut me out. I never would have hurt you. When I felt your blood in my mouth, she was happy. It made me want to vomit. I can't." he stopped her and kissed her. "It's okay love I know you would never hurt me. Now with Ulva's help, Chandra will be easier to handle." He lifted her chin to look at him. "I used my alpha voice on you Kar." He whipped her tears and kissed her. "I know you did. Not going to lie it was kind of sexy."

Lynn blushed and let out a small laugh. "That's more like it. I love your laugh." Someone knocked on the door and Kar went to get the tea. Once he told the person good night, he sat next to her. "Drink this with your meds. I need to go clean up the bathroom." Her head dropped. "Love it's okay. You were not yourself. I'm not mad at you." He kissed her head then went and cleaned up the poison.

Kar walked back into the room and she was still sitting up in bed. "Lynn are you okay?" Kar got into bed next to her and pulled her to him. "I could have lost you, Kar." She says as he feels her tears soaking his shirt. "But you didn't love. We will get past this and you got Ulva back." He lifted her chin and kissed her. "For now, though let's get you feeling better. You have had a rough couple of days."

When morning comes around Lynn wakes up with no energy at all. She feels the necklace and moves it so she can look at the crystal on it. She looks up when Kar walks in with some more tea and soup. "You need to stay in bed today. You still have a high fever." He helps her sit up and places the tray in front of her. "Eat what you can okay. I have pack work to get done but if you need anything just let me know okay." Lynn nods. "Thank you, Kar." He kisses her then heads to his office.

Lynn was laying there watching tv. She felt sick and got up barely making it to the bathroom. "Kar please help me back to bed." She asked through their link. He was there in no time she was shaking. Kar carefully picked her up and carried her back to bed. "Want me to stay with you?" he asked. "No, I know you have work to get done." She says. Kar stood up and left coming back five mins later with his laptop charger and a box of files.

She looked up at him. "My mate needs me so I will work in her on the floor okay." He says to her with a smile. "Baby you don't have to. That can't be comfortable." Kar hands her some tea. "It's fine love. Your health is more important to me." She turned on a music channel that plaid rain and thunder. He raised his eyes at her making her smile. "It helps me relax. I have always loved the rain." He laughed. "Even when rain is what got you sick like this?" she giggled. "I was the rain that got me sick it was me staying outside in it silly."
