Stephan Buther's POV:

Daina volunteered to save my mom.

Despite finding some hints, I feared it was another Oku trap.

I assigned my guards to watch over Daina because I was anxious.

I didn't sleep all night.

Oku told me to attend the meeting this morning.Oku was keen to arrange an early Rosryal elders' meeting.

He gathered the elders in the conference hall to greet me.

It took me more than two hours to get ready, change, and arrive.

This was my first challenging elders' meeting.Everyone turned when I entered.

I was about to lose my Rosryal inheritance.

Two factions of elders existed.

One party supported Oku, while the other believed I'd topple him and become Alpha.

Oku's supporters drew out a document confirming that I was giving up my claim to inherit the kingdom.

They thought I'd sign today.

They didn't know that the Alpha held my mother captive so I'd sign the pact.

My elders didn't know Oku hid my mother.
