I waited with Adira's mom and Greg for about thirty minutes before the doors of the ward finally opened and a doctor stepped out.

Her mom rushed towards him immediately and I followed her behind.

"How is she?" Adira's mom asked. FBI l

"She's still unconscious. She seems to have been poisoned," The doctor said and my jaws stopped.

Poisoned? What?! How was that possible??

"We are yet to identify what it is, but we are trying our best to stabilise her," the doctor said.

"Can we see her?" Greg asked, but the doctor shook his head.

"We don't know what is wrong exactly and how it could affect others around her so we're going to have to wait," he said and nodded before walking past us.

I sighed in frustration and shoved my fingers into my hair as I watched the doctor walk away.

"How could she get poisoned?" I asked myself and faced Adira's mom and Greg.
