RAIN
My baby hasn't been feeling very well.
When Liam finally arrives home, he finds me on the couch, watching TV in the living room.
"Baby …" he joins me on the couch, lying down, his head buried on my stomach, hands around my waist.
I can't help but chuckle at the endearing action. It has been a long day for him, and he immediately understands what he needs.
"How was your day?" I ask him as I run my fingers through his soft locks, and he sighs under my touch.
"Tiresome, but I am okay," his voice is muffled, tightening his hold around me. "How was yours?"
"Very good actually. I spent the whole day with Lexie at the country club." I don't know how he truly feels about me spending time with his mother when he doesn't have a relationship with her to begin with.
But Lexie's words and her perspective on Liam opened my eyes. He might say he is okay, but I need to be more in tune with him to see what he isn't saying.
