"the vampires will be here soon" Damon said

"vampires?" Elena said wondering what vampires had to do with the situation.

"why are the vampires coming?" she asked curious

"unfortunately,they were sent here by the council to also work on the dissapearance case" Damon said rolling his eyes as he wasn't in good terms with the vampires sent to work with him.

"wait but if we can't get in maybe Cole can...get in" Elena said as she turned back but Cole was gone,She looked around and didn't know what to say but Derek and Ronny just stared at her knowing why she was looking around.

"where is Cole?" she asked looking around

"he left after you were thrown to the ground by the wolfsbane...he must have been pretty terrified to have left like that" Derek said

"what if he gets hurt,I don't want to lose another friend" Elena said with a worried tone

"it's ok,he'll be fine,this part of the forest isn't that dangerous...i think...he'll probably not get ripped apart by wild animals"Derek said

and just as he finished his sentence two vampires arrived on power bikes and removed their helmets.

"hey Elena" Herald said as he smiled devilishly at the girl as he hanged his helmet on the handle of his bike and Elena just stared at him wide eyed with fear written all over her pretty face.

"You...why is he here?...he tried to kill me" Elena said as she had almost started panicking after remembering what he had done to her that day in that same place.

"I'm not going to hurt you so relax princess" Herald said moving closer trying to touch her face but she slapped his hand away before he could touch her

"don't touch me" Elena said,rebuking him

"ok...princess doesn't want to forgive and forget...that's understandable" Herald said moving away from the feisty girl

"the word forgiveness is not in my dictionary especially since it's the psychopath who tried to kill me" Elena said folding her arms across her chest staring at the man who just smiled back in a flirty way

"he won't hurt you anymore elena...unless he has a death wish" Damon said before facing the other vampire who just stood there staring at them,waiting to get to business.

"Damon...it's been more than a century and you haven't changed...do you have dozens of servants doing your bidding...You obviously still do" Steven said as he stared at Derek and Ronny before moving closer to Damon.

Steven and Damon were in a five second staring contest before Steven finally looked away and walked up to Elena saying

"You look just like her...it's just impossible...don't you think Damon?" Steven said still scanning Elena's face as he held her chin up and earned a warning growl from Damon and he didn't need to be told twice that the werewolf doesn't like it when others touch what's his even though he couldn't claim it.

"sorry about that" Steven apologised releasing Elena's chin

"I'm Steven by the way" he introduced

"I'm Elena"

"You sound exactly like her too...even the beauty...It's unbelievable"

"who?" Elena asked confused as to the person he kept saying she looked so much like

"you'll know pretty soon...it's not my secret to tell" Steven said as he turned back and smirked devilishly at Damon.

"cut the chatter and let's get to business,we don't have time to mess around when there are people in danger" Damon said changing the subject

"ok,alpha Damon...let's get straight to business" Herald said as he walked towards the entrance and then stopped before saying

"why couldn't the human girl do this,she's not a...." before he finished his sentence Damon replied

"she's a werewolf"

"she's a what...how in the world?"Herald said confused as he wasn't aware she was a werewolf

"she just found out a month ago" Damon said throwing his hands in his pocket

"was she bitten by an alpha?" Steven asked

"come to think of it,I wasn't bitten by an alpha" Elena said as she started wondering how that was possible.

"So you were a werewolf since birth,wow you are full of mysteries sweetheart" Steven said before he moved the wolfsbane aside to make way for the werewolves

"here you go" Herald said as he made way for the werewolves and they entered the building and he and Steven walked behind them

"I knew it" Damon said as he found the place empty

"where is Sarah?" Elena asked looking around

"we should have known,it was too easy" Steven said as he ran his hand through his hair staring at Damon who just sighed.

"we were tricked...who in the world would have the audacity to trick me" Damon said as he placed both hands on his waist

"no-one is above trickery Damon...not even you" Herald said before leaving the building with Steven and getting on their bikes

"keep us updated" Steven said as he put his helmet on and left with his brother and the rest also headed towards the forest as they couldn't find anything in the building.

When they all came out of the forest,they saw three police cars parked in the middle of the road,they had surrounded Miss Emmys car and an ambulance was there also.They were all wondering what had happened and so they all moved closer to the crime scene trying to find out what was going on.

Elena moved closer to the crime scene while Damon waited for her to bring the reports of what had happened back to him.

"excuse me sir"she said as she approached one of the cops who turned out to be Coles father.

"Elena?" he said surprised to see her at that time of the night and that too at fox hill

"Mr Hathaway...hi" Elena said with a fake smile as she had started regretting being there in the first place.

Coles dad is close friends with Elena's mom but Elena hadn't met Cole until the time he left his mom's place and moved back in with his dad.

"what are you doing here at this time of the night?,does your mom know you're here? he asked with a worried look on his face.

"I was um...um...I'm here with a friend and my mom knows about it...we...are...on a date"elena lied trying to keep a straight face as it has been established that she was a terrible liar but if she was to keep everything she knew about the supernatural a secret,she would need to up her lying game and it's pretty hard to lie to a police as they could sniff it out in a bit since it's their job.

"so you're actually on a date dressed like that" he said staring at Elena's dressing,he found it hard to believe she was on a date dressed like a vigilante.

She had no idea what to do now,she had no lies to tell anymore and then she didn't know when she said

"it's a themed date...it's what teenagers are doing these days" she lied still keeping a straight face so he wouldn't suspect her

"really?...kids these days" Eddie said as he shakes his head

"yeah my generation is full of surprises" she said with a fake smile before asking

"by the way Mr Hathaway....what's going on here"

"oh...um...it's really bad news...we just found your chemistry teacher dead in her car" Eddie replied her with a pitiful look on his face as he watched the ambulance take miss Emmy's body away

"dead...what do you mean dead?...wasn't she missing?" Elena asked with fear that Sarah could be next

"yeah she was and then i was patrolling and I found the car's door opened and miss Emmy's body in it....it's really sad...we just hope we find the rest of the people who were kidnapped before they also get killed" Eddie said as he removed his cap and stared at the girl who was in shock.

"um...I should get going,it's getting late...bye" Elena said as she walked back to Damon who was standing by his car waiting for her.Elena was glad that she could convince Eddie to believe her lies and she was also glad that Cole had left because he wouldn't have been able to lie to his father for too long and would spill the beans out of fear.

Eddie stared at Elena as she walked up to the guy standing in the dark by a car.He knew Elena was obviously lying to him because who in the world goes on a date when their best friend had gone missing and could probably be dead for all they knew,she didn't really think he would believe her themed date excuse when he knew how much Elena loved her friend.

Was she in trouble???

Elena walked up to Damon who had been waiting anxiously for over ten minutes now and was already losing patience.

"took you long enough" he said as she finally got to where he was standing but as he noticed she had a sad look on her face he asked

"what's wrong?"

She's dead...miss Emmy is dead" she said as her eyes had started to water

"what if Sarah is next" Elena said already feeling scared for her friend

"She's dead...oh no...we have to move fast...whoever is behind this isn't planning on keeping them alive much longer"
