The two ladies are staring at Ed and still bothered by what he just told them, they still don't even know what is going on and what Ed meant.

After some time, someone knocked on the front door

"Are you expecting someone?" Arunna asked Ed

"Yes, it is about time they arrive." Ed replied

The door opened and someone entered

It is Shade the person that Arunna and Kaleena saw in the town square, the one fighting Rab. Behind him is his partner The False Knight, the huge man wearing a full plated armor.

"Hey old man, we are back." Shade said

"Welcome back boys"

"How was the hunt?" Ed asked

"It was nice and easy its all because of this guy (pointing at The False Knight)." Shade replied

Shade walks across the room and noticed the two ladies

"So, what do we have here? Who are these ladies?"

Shade looked at Ed for a moment

"I didn't know that you still have fire in you, even though your quite old," Shade jokingly said to Ed

"Oh! no, they are the daughters of Lord Ulric of the clan Phairus." Ed replied

"This woman here in my right is Arunna the eldest daugther of Lord Ulric and this on is Kaleena"

"Ulric? You mean the merchant?" Shade asked

Arunna and Kaleena were surprised

"You know our father?" Arunna asked

"Ah yes, he helped me before when I lost all my money in gambling." Shade replied

Shade is looking at the ladies from top to bottom, first he stared at the eldest

"Hmm…. Her pale skin is perfect, her eyes are average-sized and it color blue, she is quite tall and has a perfect body built she is fairly muscular. But what interests me more is her long, wavy, and dark blue hair."

Then he looked at the other lady

"This one also has pale skin, her eyes are smaller but it is also blue and she's quite smaller than the other one, she's not fit but she's average I guess, but her hair is different it is short, shiny and white."

Arunna and Kaleena felt uncomfortable seeing Shade staring at them like that.

"Uhm…. Excuse me; do you have something to say?" Arunna asked

"Yes, you ladies are perfect." Shade replied quickly

The False Knight raised his arm and punched Shade gently at the back of his head, Shade instantly fell down to the ground, it looks like something fell so heavy that it created a huge crack on the floor.

The False Knight looked at the ladies and slowly lowered his head

"I'm sorry about that ladies, he is quite an observant person that's why sometimes people are feeling uncomfortable when he is staring at them. I humbly ask for your forgiveness."

Arunna and Kaleena were surprised seeing that he knocked down Shade with a gentle punch. They have never seen such raw power. He has the same body as Brocton, they know that Brocton is already strong; the difference in their strength is on a different level. Arunna and Kaleena don't know what to say after witnessing what happened. The False Knight is still bowing waiting for the response of the two ladies.

"Ladies?" The False Knight asked

"Ah! It is fine there is nothing to worry about. But, will he be okay?" Kaleena replied with a nervous smile

"Yes, he will be fine. Thank you for your understanding."

"Now old man we already caught the Doom Trinity and our mission is over, what do we have to do next?" The False Knight asked

"Oh really? how much did the Prison paid you?" Ed asked

"Two hundred thousand silver coins each." The False Knight replied

"Now we can build our own Guild Quarters." Ed happily said

Arunna was surprised that a single bandit can be traded for silver coins that much. The sword she saw at the shop a while ago was one hundred fifty thousand silver coins.

"Are you a Merc under old man Ed?" Arunna asked

"Yes, Shade and I are part of the Gold Light Company."

"Are there other Mercs besides you two?" Kaleena asked

"Of course, they are just scattered around the country." The False Knight replied

The False Knight looked at Arunna, he noticed that the lady wants to say something but she is hesitating.

"Do you wish to ask something?"

Arunna was surprised when The False Knight asked her.

"Ah yes, I'm just curious why they are calling you The False Knight." Arunna replied

"But you don't have to answer it if it makes you uncomfortable." The lady added

"Its okay you don't have to worry." The False Knight said

"When I was still starting as a Merc, I started wearing full armor and helm that covers my head and face, I don't like weapons so I don't use one, and because I don't wield one so people think that I do not deserve to be called a Knight, because a Knight should hold a weapon and defend the weak. That's when they started calling me The False Knight."

"I don't really have problems with being called The False Knight; actually I kind of liked it and I registered it as my Merc name."

"If you don't mind me asking, what is your real name sir?" Arunna asked

The False Knight looked at old man Ed for a second and then turned back his attention on Arunna.

"I don't usually answer that question but since you are a friend of Old man Ed then I shall answer"

"My name is Rodan." The False Knight replied

Arunna was surprised because she didn't expect an answer from him.

While Arunna and Rodan are talking, Kaleena went to Shade who is currently lying down on the floor, face down. Kaleena extended her arm and gently hold the back of Shade's head.

"Heal"

Kaleena cast a spell on Shade's head, the spell is not yet finished when Shade suddenly move and raise his head

"I thank you for your kind gesture my lady, but i think I'm fine." Shade looked at Kaleena

Kaleena was surprised she thought that Shade is injured but Shade is conscious and perfectly fine; he is just simply lying down to the ground.

"Then why are you lying here on the ground?" Kaleena asked

"Nothing, i just felt doing it." Shade replied

"Oh, you shouldn't have bothered wasting your energy on that guy, he is totally fine I just gently tapped his head. So there's nothing to worry about." Rodan said

Kaleena is confused about what's going on, she can't even process properly the series of scenarios, this Mercs are acting like they are on the same level as Ed. The only thing that crossed Kaleena's mind that time, is that these people are monsters.

"I think that's enough Shade, come over here we are going to talk about the next mission." Ed said

Shade stands up and pats his cloak removing the specks of dust. He started walking towards them and stands beside Rodan.

"So what's our next mission?" Shade asked

Arunna explained to the two Mercs what happened yesterday, how Lord Ulric was taken and how their camp was attacked.

"So, Midnight attacked your camp and took your father." Rodan said

"Midnight? You mean that shadow thing?" Shade asked

"Yes." Arunna replied with a sad expression

Kaleena who stands on the other side of the room also had the same expression

Rodan and Shade felt the sadness of Arunna and Kaleena; they were also saddened on what happened to the two young ladies, also Lord Ulric helped Shade once.

"Don't worry ladies, I assure you we will rescue Lord Ulric and kill Midnight." Shade said

"That would be impossible because Midnight is already dead." Ed replied

"Dead? What do you mean by that old man?" Rodan replied

"I killed him, and unfortunately he doesn't have Lord Ulric with him anymore, it seems like he gave him to someone else." Ed replied

"You killed Midnight? One lucky bastard he is." Shade replied

"So our next mission is to find that man?" Rodan asked

"Yes, also you have to bring Lord Ulric back alive."
