Chapter 20

"You called for me?" Alicia asked with her hands fidgeting against her cloth as she stood next to Asher, seeing him turn she didn't know why but she held her breath for a minute.

"Yes I did, I would like to talk to you" he said, his voice sounding polite at that time making Alicia wonder if she met with the wrong man because the master Asher she knew was always arrogant and rude. 'Okay' Alicia thought in her head as she gave him a nod and he pointed at her to sit on the chair in front of him which she obediently did.

"How's your arm?" He asked her and Alicia wondered if the vase she had hit against his head had changed the settings of his brain right now, what was that? was he caring for her now?.

"It's good" she replied.

"It's good? you don't feel any pain?" He asked her with his green eyed probing into her brown eyes for answer, "Nothing" she replied to his question. She saw him stand up from his seat as he walked over to her, he leaned against the table with his side and leaned over her making Alicia alarmed at their closeness, she was about to pull away when he held the chair she was sitting down on strongly so she wouldn't be able to move.

Staring at her eyes, his slender finger slowly moved to trace her cheeks which was warm and soft, he could see that her cheeks had tainted themselves red and the corner of his lips quirked up seeing how she was easily flustered, his hand reached for her hair and he smoothened it with his fingers only to play with the ends of her curls. Alicia had a hard time breathing, one this man was seizing her breath, two, this man was making her heart thump faster in her chest and three, he was making her nervous. Just what the hell did he want from her? she had never thought in her wildest dreams that she would end up being in this position with him, the evil general.

Alicia had found out from Lisa what work Asher was doing and she knew it would be very wrong to go against him since he was the general and was working with the government.

"What are you Alicia?" He asked out if no where making her snap to reality, her eyes widened at his sudden question and she had to gulp down the lump in her throat to be able to answer him.

"A woman" She answered only to hear him chuckle softly, "Stupid, I didn't mean that, you aren't a human, you aren't a vampire then what are you?" He asked her with eyes locked against hers wanting to get an immediate answer from her.

"I don't know what you are talking about please exc-" she couldn't complete her sentence because the bandage on her arm was torn by him, "Stop feigning ignorance with me girl, tell me what you are? why isn't the bite mark there?" he asked impatiently as he gripped her jaw with his hand.

"Maybe it healed" She responded to see him smile devilishly at her, oh geez! she felt the air on her body rise, just why did he have to make things worse by smiling like that. The fact that his clothes was dark, his hair dark and eyes dark green with that earring pierced on his right ear was giving a bad feeling already and now he smiled like this too? is this man the reincarnation of the devil?

"Don't play dumb with me Alicia, you aren't a vampire are you?" he asked only for her to shook her head. "Then what?" he asked his voice a little loud and harsh than before. Alicia thought of what to do to escape his grasp, she couldn't tell what she was to him because he would end up handing her over to the government to deal with her because her kind were not accepted, witches and using of magic was forbidden in this land as all of them were considered evil, the vampires or humans wouldn't want to know if she was good witch or not, they would end up killing her so Alicia just had to keep her mouth shut.

But it wasn't Alicia's fault that she was given birth to as a witch, since she was born she had never done anything to harm anyone with her magic power, instead she used it for having fun as her father had told her but that didn't go well with her mother, her mother had wanted to teach her how to be vicious, cruel and selfish but luckily for her, her father was always there to stop her mother from teaching her evil things.

Alicia eyes began to well with tears as she gazed up at the green eyes that was looking at her, she saw that he looked surprised and she smiled inwardly that she was getting what she wanted, just a little more and he would let her be.

"Why are you crying? I didn't do anything bad to you did I?" he asked as his hand moved to wipe away her tears that had fallen down from her eyes, he could hear her sniffling and he sighed internally, he would have to keep her because something was telling him deep down that he would eventually need her, she was no ordinary girl and he just had to find out what she was, she wasn't a lycan because she wasn't strong and all that, she was weak and fragile compared to a woman but just how did she had healing powers. Asher mind didn't think that she could be a witch.

"You did many bad things to me, you punished me and tortured me, you twisted my arm that day and you almost caused my death from falling from the roof, why did you hate me even when I did nothing to you?" she asked him but didn't receive any answer but just his stare, he then turned around to face the glass as he spoke, "I have always being like this to everyone and not just you, I don't hate you"

"Aren't you going to change? being like this is not good" she said to him as she stood up from the chair, he now turned to face her with a smirk on his face, he walked towards her as he said, "I like being like this and I'm never going to change, being like this is very good Alicia, you just don't know it, being stupid, weak, submissive is very bad"

His hand reached for her face and he gently caressed it, he did it so carefully as if putting any pressure on it would leave a mark on her beautiful face, his eyes fell on her lips and he leaned to kiss her, when he released her lips he saw her eyes go wide, her ears turn red and he chuckled, "Be my friend Alicia"

"Huh? why?" the girl asked with eyes dazed because he was staring at her too much and she couldn't hold his gaze.

"You'll benefit from me and I'll also benefit from you, friends with benefits I say" He said.

"Is that the kind of friendship you want, you don't want someone to care for you and watch out for you, you just want benefits?" Asked Alicia stunned and he nodded his head, "I don't need all what you have mentioned as they are useless to me, I just need benefits" he said again.

Alicia knew this man was up to something but she just can't guess what it was, he wanted to find something out of her and she wasn't willing to let him get it, thinking about it, it would be quite interesting to see him struggle to get something out of her as she was a very hard to get woman. "Okay" she answered him and that brought a smirk on his lips and he bent again to kiss her. Alicia frowned at him, "No intimacy if that's the kind of friendship you want"

"I can't promise that"

"Hmph" Alicia harrumphed and quickly dashed out of the room seeing that he wanted to repeat what he had done a while ago leaving Asher with a quirked up lips.
