Against the World: The last Monapart

No one with the name Monapart could ever use magic. But no Monapart ever cared about it. They were always the strongest of them all. Each one stronger than the last. The world couldn't accept their existence. When the strongest Monapart died, they swore to never let another one get stronger again. Every human, beast, and demon would be killed at the mere mention of the name... But time passes, and soon, they forgot. "Curses...Curses... The fucking curses! They were the rage, the fear, and the embodiment of someone's will, so why?! Why all of them are made to kill everything?!" Said the first Monapart. But the curse in front of him didn't answer, it just stared at him smiling like always. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- When he was born, he didn't cry, nor made any kind of sound in the process, but no one cared for him enough to notice. After just two days of life, he opened his eyes. An unusual thing as babies usually need at least a month to do so. His green eyes moved wildly looking at every corner of his room with deep curiosity, but not understanding anything in his view. He still couldn't understand the concept of 'thing' yet, but that changed after one month of life. After one month, he understood he was alive and most of the things in the room weren't. He still couldn't put it in words but he clearly knew that he was way different than the chair next to him. The speed of his understanding was outstanding. Sadly, in his sixth month of life, while he was asleep, flames covered his entire room and himself. It didn't take even a second and all the room turned into ashes. The baby didn't die as expected, but he was no longer in the dark room. [ Curse received: Heart offering ] . . [ Heart offering: Once per day the curse bearer will lose one of his five senses until he loses everything or dies ] . . [ Heart offering is taking effect ] . . [ Sense of hearing lost] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -At least one chapter of 1000 words a day -If you don't like the start, I guess chapter 21 is a good one to jump to but you will still feel a little lost -If you find any error, please comment on it and I will fix it -I hope you like it

The Hole

I became excited about the reward. After so many days, killing the same amount of rabbits was becoming monotonous.

Then I tested the scanner, it felt like my senses flowed out of my body and covered all my surroundings making a sphere around me of around fifty meters.

I could sense it but it didn't show me anything. It was like being blind while knowing your eyes work. Knowing you can see but not being able to.

I walked around to see if I could get this scanner ability to work.

Finally, I could sense something using it. It was a rabbit. When it entered the range, I could tell exactly where it was.

I could see inside its body and point out all the vital organs. The feeling was incredible. I was seeing every detail of an animal by just looking at it.

I approached the rabbit. This time I would fight it directly, all the others were killed by surprise or after they were stuck. This would be my first direct combat... Without counting the first unintentional one of course.

The rabbit sensed me and with its powerful legs, it jumped aiming the horn at me. I couldn't follow it with my eyes but the scanner could. I dodged to the right already expecting the attack, then with my spear, I aimed at the horn and slashed.

The rabbit was stunned. The horn being damaged disturbed its senses. Next, with the back of my spear, I slashed both legs. It lost balance and fell to the ground. Then I stabbed its head.

'Wow, it became a lot easier'

I became excited and immediately started to run to find more rabbits. The scanner made it much easier. I would find them every time at most every five minutes, and it made it a lot faster to kill them too since I didn't need to prepare anything. The progress was rising at a fast pace.

*cough* *cough* *cough* My lugs hurt.

After killing 45 rabbits, I rested on the floor. I was very tired, with ragged breath, my heart beating fast, arms and legs hurting.

'It is so close, just a little more and I will finish the first part'

I stood up, then used the scanner to find more rabbits. Afterward, I walked a little more and found five rabbits inside a cave, they were trying to move but they couldn't.

'Are they trapped by something?'

I entered the cave, going deeper and deeper. When I found the rabbits, I was amazed, they were trapped in a giant spider web and there were a lot of eggs all over the floor.

Suddenly, an enormous spider awoke from behind the trapped rabbits and stared at me. I felt a pressure similar to the tarack.

'Maybe she didn't see me yet?' I thought, more like prayed actually.

My prayer wasn't answered as the giant spider use its long legs to smash the floor right in front of me.

'RUN!!!!!'

*CRASH* The ground behind me broke and the giant spider leg pierced it.

The legs were attacking me at a fast pace and were missing by just a hair's breadth. The adrenaline pushed all my tiredness, and my blood circulated at a fast speed. My legs moved like never before. My newfound vitality amazed me.

'It's not time to be reflecting!' I thought as I dodged to the side and the place was destroyed by the spider leg.

I couldn't do anything. The spider was too strong, too fast. Just a little more and it will pierce me with that giant leg.

My legs hurt, my breath starts to deepen, and my strength was slowly leaving my body. I could see the exit of the cave, but my body was too tired.

"Just a little more!"

As I reached the limit of my strength, I left the cave.

*sghn* *sghn* *sghn* My ragged breath got me and three feet out of the cave, I collapsed.

'Is this it?' I thought as I saw the spider leaving the cave. But surprisingly, it didn't. It looked scared. When the sun touched its leg, it burned.

'It's scared of the sun'

It didn't leave the cave because the sun would burn it to death otherwise. It was a very good piece of information.

I started to think about how I could kill it.

First I planned to use an explosive. In the forest, there is a tree sap that explodes when exposed to air for a few seconds. But it isn't powerful enough to kill it, and after considering its weakness. I got a better plan.

I went to the base and slept. The next day I was full of energy again. After hunting and eating some rabbits I completed the first part of the mission and started my plan for the spider.

I went to an area close to the cave and started chopping trees. I passed all day chopping. It took me a whole day to chop only one tree.

Around ten days passed and I had fifteen logs of wood. With a stone, I made a shovel and started to dig, and after twelve more days, I made a hole the spider would fit.

Inside the hole, I made a small tunnel I could pass through. Using ropes I tied ten of the logs together making a platform of wood.

Then, above the hole, I made something similar to a bunny trap using a log to support the platform so it doesn't fall.
