Chapter 5

When I said 'we' in the previous chapter, I meant Lingxi, I was just pretending to not notice.

After I finished kissing Lingxi, I bid farewell to her and parted ways, though not before I gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

I then quickly went back to my room, where I found Qingyue quietly 'sleeping'. I didn't disturb her as I went to sleep with a mattress on the floor.

<Xia Qingyue>

I know that I'm being cruel to him, but this is all I could do for him. Maybe if he had profound veins, things would have been different.

And me, why did I agree to the marriage knowing that after I left him he will become the laughing stock of the whole city. Even more than before.

That is what I initially thought, but he proved me wrong, he showed that he's not a weakling, that he can defend an attack from a sky profound realm expert! Now I know that he knows about the realm of gods, I really messed up.

I thought that it was the worst thing that could have happened. But I was wrong, when I tried to look for him after discussing with my teacher, I found out that he already has a lover and it's his aunt!

Is this it? Is this how I lose my chance? ......No! No! I will not give up! I will do anything to reach the realm of gods! To meet with my mother once more! To bring her back! To reunite our family!

That right I would do anything! Even if I have sacrificed my body! I will! No! I must be a proper wife to him! With that I make up my mind and resolve!

When I woke up, Qingyue was no longer on the bed. I quickly did my morning hygiene routine and exited my pavilion.

I reached the pavilion where me, grandpa and little aunt usually have breakfast. I smelled a nice sense coming from the kitchen. I quickly noticed that it was the sense of my favorite dish!

'It must be little aunt' I thought, however, when I reached the kitchen it wasn't little aunt who was cooking my favorite dish but Qingyue!

I was astonished to know that it was the cold beauty and my wife Qingyue. I then quickly came over my shocks as I approached her.

When she noticed me she quickly greeted me saying"Good morning Husband! The breakfast will be ready soon so please wait a minute"

I pretend to be dumbstruck but I did as she told me. When I arrived at the dinner table, there were both grandpa and little aunt waiting for me.

"Good morning little Che/Che'er" they spoke unison.

"Grandpa, little aunt, why is Qingyue cooking chicken soup?" I asked them outwardly, but inwardly however I was celebrating, I succeeded in making her act like a proper housewife!

Soon Qingyue came out of the kitchen carrying three bowls of soup. I tasted my soup and damn it was almost as good as little aunt cooking, I guess little aunt told her the recipe.

"Husband does it taste good?" Qingyue asked me.

"This is good Yue'er! But you can improve! You are not quite up to level of Little aunt yet, nonetheless it's good" I spoke to which Lingxi nodded.

"Thank you husband," Qingyue said, happy that she can improve.

After finishing breakfast me and Qingyue went back to our room. "Qingyue! Let me straight with you! If you are trying to make me fall for you, It's working, but I let you know that if I fell for you, I will help you achieve your goals! Is that clear?" I asked Qingyue to which she nodded.

"Good! Now I have a matter to attend to you can do whatever you want" I said, and left the room.

I then went to a quiet place in the mountain, and said "Come out I know you are awake!" After which a red haired loli appeared in ethereal form in front of me.

"How do you know that this princess is awake?" She asked, simple, I know about that because of your change in presence inside the sky poison pearl! Which of course is a lie. The real reason was that system let me know.

"Anyway can you tell the reason you were infected with the Absolute God Slaying Poison?" I asked.

She then gave me a short details of what had happened, basically it was like this, her brother got killed, she wanted revenge, she needed more power, she obtained it, but the woman who killed her brother ordered some bad guys to kill her, she escaped but now poisoned!

"This princess will give you the power I obtained because it cannot be used for me, in exchange you will get me these items and follow these conditions" She said.

The items are a stalk of Netherworld Udumbara Flowers, three Profound Beast Cores no lower than that of the Tyrant Profound Realm, and at least thirty five kilos of Purple Veined God Crystals, the condition are to reach the Sovereign Profound Realm within thirty years and to kneel down and worship her as his master!

"You will also have to accept me as master!" She added.

"This disciple greets the master!" I kowtow shamelessly, after all it's a great offer and I have a thing for teacher-student relationships!

She was a little bit surprised, she thought this mortal will at least think about it for a few seconds or minutes.

After exchanging pleasantries, she introduced herself as Jasmine, she then took out a red drop of blood "Are you ready?" She asked.

"Yes" I answered, preparing for the agony!

She then let the drop of blood float to me, it slowly entered my forehead! After which the pain follows!

The pain was so painful that it makes the definition of pain look like a joke, good thing that Jasmine set up an anti sound barrier! Otherwise the whole continent will hear my voice!
