The Encounter

"Hey" Is the voice i hear as I start to get up from the floor looking confused wondering about how I had gotten there. "Hey are you alright? Can you hear me ?" I turn to face the person that is talking to me to realize that it's a girl who is roughly the same age as me maybe two years younger." Oh uh sorry I was just wondering how I ended up on the floor I didn't mean to make you worry." I can just sense the awkwardness in the air but the sound of a horn interrupts my thoughts as I turn to see a man who looks real angry to see me. I noticed him staring at the girl next to me and immediately knew it was a misunderstanding on his part I open my mouth to speak but I am cut off by him yelling "Hey you scumbag, who do you think you're holding." I look down and see that I am indeed holding her why didn't she tell me anything I thought to myself as she looked up at me and I could tell that she was scared so I stepped up and said "sir I don't even know who you are and you can't go assuming things based off of sight alone she just helped me off of the floor ." The man looked at me with a unbelieving expression which just made the girl cling to me more and that is something that I hope the man didn't notice. "You kid what's your name?" I look at the ground and think about if I should lie about my name or just tell the truth. "KID I'M TALKING TO YOU WHAT IS YOUR DAMN NAME!!." 'This man gets on my nerves' I think to myself before saying "Before I answer your question let me ask one of my own....
