Chapter 4

"Mommy, there are so many important guests" I said to mommy while clinging to dad's arm while he was between me and mom.

"Where's your grandpa? I want to sit already" mommy complained as we looked around to find grandpa, but my gaze stopped at the man sitting at the big round table with his family right there with my grandpa.

Grandpa also saw me, so he immediately called me along with dad.

"Amigo this is my granddaughter Trinity Del Luiz, you probably know Grizella and Lorenzo her parents" grandfather introduced me in front of his partners.

I immediately waved as a sign of respect and introduction.

"You've already grown up, I'm Carmen, this is my husband, Juancho, and our son, Ashton," explained Ms. Carmen to me that's why I extended my hand to Ashton.

He also accepted it and immediately let go, mommy and I sat down and started eating while they talked about business and other adult matters.

"So, how old are you? You were a young girl when I saw you." I looked at Ms. Carmen suddenly everyone's attention went to me.

"I'm only 13, I'm in my 1st year of high school" I answered with a smile and looked at Ashton, I immediately avoided it because he was looking.

"How old are you? You look so mature, but you're so handsome" mommy giggled, asking Ashton and we all just laughed.

"I'm also 13" Ashton answered sparingly, and we went back to eating when the MC spoke.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, I just want to announce that the party is now starting I hope you'll enjoy again good evening" those who finished eating immediately stood up ready to dance.

They also stood up except Ashton and me.

"Where are you studying?" he uttered while I was about to stand up.

I stared at him and got mesmerized of his god damn handsome face. Brown narrow eyes, pointed nose, perfect jaw and red kissable lips.

I didn't realize that I was staring at him that's why I immediately looked away and pretended to be looking around.

"Done staring" he smirked at me. He is arrogant.

"Arrogant" I looked away and heard his weak laugh.

"I'm studying at La Salle and you?" I answered straight away and pretended to drink water.

"La Salle too" he leaned on his seat and stared at me.

After the party we went home, and I also heard in their conversation that they are our partner company Ruiz company.

The next day I got up early because it was our first day as 1st year high school.

We got ready so I could go in early, mommy also drove me.

When I entered the school, I immediately saw people gathering, I could hear them gossiping about something, and some continued to mind their own business.

I also immediately found my classroom.

There were many people who sat down, and all sits are occupied, so I sat at the end where there was a beautiful woman who was also looking at me, I smiled at her, and she did the same.

"Hi, my name is Cleia Danica Azumirez how about you what's your name?" I also accepted her hand.

"Trinity Del Luiz" and that's when our friendship started, we were chatting when suddenly our teacher came.

"Good morning class" we greeted our teacher then suddenly.

"Sorry I'm late" we all turned to the late arrival.

"Sit down, I just arrived" I looked at the front and immediately shook my head.

"Ok class for our first day we'll introduce ourselves in front okay start at the back" I was surprised and immediately introduced myself.

A few students passed by, and Ashton was the last to introduce his seat because he was in the very front and it was the only one that was vacant earlier.

"Hi, I'm Ashton Ruiz" he said briefly, like me, our teacher also stared at him and just let him sit.

And that's when my heart started beating strangely for him.

I'm still in denial but after a few months I said that I like him because of his actions and the way he can attract.

He's also good when it comes to instruments, he's smart, we're the top in the class and above all he's the type of quiet mysterious that's why he's attracted to a lot of people and I'm one of them, we always stalk him after class and sometimes we have dinner together.

A year later, our 2nd year of high school, my liking for him deepened every day that I saw him, I couldn't help but be thrilled or imagine something. I was also an honor student so I wouldn't be embarrassed.

We often put a letter in his locker secretly so he could read it until college saying that I still like him in short, I love him even though he is always ignoring me.

I was distracted from my sleep on the bus knowing that I was in the right place to go home, I got off the bus together with the passengers and then took a tricycle home.

It's a tiring day, we still have a lot to do tomorrow, so I plan to stay up late.

Everyone was asleep when I got home, so I went straight to my room to study and finish what needed to be done.

The next day I was surprised because Ashton was having breakfast in the dining room with mom and dad.

"Good morning daughter, go eat breakfast and get ready. Starting today, you and Ashton will always come in school at the same time" mommy said waking me up, I looked at Ashton, but he didn't react.

"Okay mommy, I'm going to hurry up" and I started eating, neither of us said anything, so I quickly got ready to go to school.

"Take care, children, study well" dad reminded us of then we left for the university with our driver.

"Have you finished everything we're going to pass?" I started because I was lost in our silence inside the car.

"Yes" he simply said and stared outside again.

"Is that so? What do you do every time you have practice and then you don't come to class, how do you handle it?" I asked with amusement and smiled at him.

He just took a breath and kept quiet, so I just adjusted my seat and kept quiet like him.

I felt offended and disappointed, but I don't have the rights to speak on him because he has no obligation to answer all my questions.

After my brother stopped at school, I immediately went down to go first because I was still annoyed, luckily, I saw Cleia right away drinking her milk tea.

"Cleia!" I shouted but she didn't look at me that's why I shouted to call her again.

"Cleia!" I shouted again and she turned and smiled at me.

We walked together and talk about our day then get into class.

Ashton and I always go together when we go home, and I always talk to him even though sometimes he gets annoyed and often doesn't answer me.

It's so sudden and surreal to be with him but I don't feel that I'm with him.

Since our engagement, he has become more and more distant from me. I already felt that rejection but this one is more painful, but I don't have the rights to complain because it will only get worse.

How I wish he could see me someday as someone too like how I treasure him now...
