Chapter 4: Clarification!

The winged creature had evaded Aeraki's sight and his wits, despite being a newborn it seemed to know how to get around.

Aeraki runs through the heavy jungle area, searching for the creature

Aeraki:

[I must *pant* find *Pant* that *pant* specimen!]

Aeraki tries to map out the area, he looks up and sitting upon a branch is another hooded figure, this one seemed leaner, with curves and an hourglass figure, she takes off her hood and reveals a beautiful face, with black silky hair cut in a bob cut, he has piercing yellow eyes and smooth dark skin. "Hello there, stranger, seeking some wisdom?" she asks Aeraki very coyly in a slow and low voice.

Aeraki:

[No thank you, the last time I met someone like you, I got tossed 457.2 cm upwards and a free shower.] in an abrasive tone.

- [You must mean my partner Daw' That's just how he welcomes everyone, but you are rather behind, the meeting is happening in three sun rotations.]

- [Meeting? Meeting for what? (It seems our meeting was not just coincidence, it seems I am being monitored, the question would be "why" but for now, I need to focus on my other theory.) If I can ask, you seem to know what that creature is, I do not suppose you would mind sharing it with me.]

- [Ah, you must mean that Aeon, correct? They are simple yet effective critters, I suppose I could explain how they function.]

Aeraki:

[That would be most helpful, miss... um, I apologize, I do not have your name.]

"Sterlig - hun" she says in a soft yet assertive tone.

Sterlig:

[Now, pay attention, Aether Aeons are a lesser Aetherkin, meaning a creature born directly from the Aether, they mostly preside in this realm, they are basic creatures in the mind department, barring a few exceptions of course but the the most important thing you can do is perform a Link Ritual, to do that you must obtain their cores and store it in that thing Daw' gave you, that's a "Core Charm" once you form a Link with the Aeon, their cores will crystalize and you can place it on that charm, just be careful, overusing the Charm can burn it out.]

Aeraki:

[That was remarkably helpful. Is there anything else I need be wary of?]

Sterlig:

[As a matter of fact, yes, forming a Link with an Aeon is an intimate affair... Think of it as the waves on a shore, pushing and pulling, such is the nature of a link.]

Aeraki:

[I see - (That must have been what he meant back then.) So how would I be able to perform this "Link Ritual"?]

Sterlig:

[For that you need to awaken your Soul Circuit, perhaps the most vital thing you can do here. And before you ask, your Soul Circuit is sorta like a channel of ways that courses all throughout your body, it's innate connected to your Soul, hence the name, when you draw out your soul's powers such as your natural Aura, you can draw out the important part needed for the ritual! Your Soul Chains!]
