Chapter 13: Simulation

'Atlas, What happened to me' Jake demanded, a mix of anger and confusion shown on his face.

Jake, since this procedure is extremely risky almost no Aeon Ascendant attempted this.

However, it seems you are the first to ever succeed in this. The procedure has effectively and permanently altered your mind. It also has bound me into your DNA. I am now truly a part of you.

'Then what are all these memories and emotions that I don't recognise' Jake questioned the Atlas.

(The procedure essentially allowed your mind to experience almost 10 years of memories instantly.

Think of when you dream, your mind creates its realities and experiences, however, they are short, not easily memorable and are limited to whatever you only know.

The procedure essentially simulated your mind allowing you to live a life, learning, understanding and experiencing things beyond what your brain currently knows.

Usually, these simulations are too difficult for a mind to handle the process of 2 minds at once which is why such simulations only leave a year or so of memories but it seems you managed to gain almost a decade of experience which is an extraordinary feat.

Your IQ, memory, processing and logical thinking abilities have exponentially increased.)

'So what am I like 18 years old now' Jake questioned the Atlas.

(Not necessarily, your brain has not aged due to the instantaneous experience. You will age, grow and learn like a normal human being but the rate at which you do will be much quicker.

Think of it like this, a human mind takes 25 years to mature, you will also take around that time to completely mature.

Now let's say you play a game that says you have 1 hour to collect as much XP as you can this is in comparison to 25 years of human mind development, and the rate of growth is stuck at the standard 1x.

What this procedure has done is not only give you a large amount of XP points, it has also given you an XP booster which can increase.

Now about your memories, you couldn't have done nothing in your simulations, the ChronoScribe simulated your memories of you and your loved ones based on their current paths, while not perfect it is almost exceedingly accurate.)

'Accurate?, then can you explain what the hell Aria was doing to me that night' Jake who was confused and flustered asked the Atlas.

(It would seem your mind and body are still not prepared for these complex emotions)

The Atlas seemed aware of the actions it would need to take immediately.

(Jake, since I am now a part of you I now have unrestricted access to your mind and body, but I would never make a decision for you or do anything to jeopardize your freedom or decisions unless a dire situation in which you are unable to make a decision and if I do make a decision it would be one you would have taken anyway.

Even the ChronoScribe can no longer force me to make a decision.

You are now essentially my Master. Now I would like to lock certain memories which you would not be able to handle effectively and might disrupt your path)

'I-I understand, thank you Atlas. I feel uncomfortable with those thoughts right now, if you feel it would be better to lock them I will allow it, but is it locked permanently?' Jake still mildly uncomfortable spoke to the Atlas for clarification.

(Thank you, Jake, yes, I would recommend locking them for now and no, these will not be locked permanently, they will be unlocked when your mind is ready and able to handle these things or in a situation which would require these thoughts to be unlocked)

'Alright, Lock them' Jake spoke calmly and closed his eyes.

Like walking into a room forgetting what you went there for is what Jake felt as certain memories cleared up from his mind.

(I would recommend that you rest now Jake, too much thinking will be detrimental to your mind and you have school tomorrow.)

'I'll do that Atlas thanks, hah school' Jake smiled as he turned over and proceeded to get some sleep, the Atlas clearing his mind so he could fall asleep quicker.

The sun was just rising above the horizon, its dark orange light giving the grey surface of Naru a warm and peaceful touch.

(Jake, it's time to wake up)

'M-Mom?' Jake rubbed his eyes as he woke up quickly realising who had woken him up.

'Why Atlas?' Jake spoke in a monotone voice clearly not a morning person.

(Don't be mad Jake, your body is completely rested and it would be a waste to sleep longer plus you need to train)

'Train? But I'm not fat nor can I build a lot of muscle at my age' Jake asked the Atlas confusedly.

(Of course, however building a routine and mindset now would be tremendous to you in the future, just think of it as an investment)

'Alright alright coach, I'll do it. What's the plan?'

(I'm glad you asked, the most effective and efficient routine would be one from a certain human that lived almost 300 years ago. He achieved perfect strength and agility without having to gain a larger body shape. A perfectly lean body type with the strength of a bodybuilder.)

'Wow, that's cool, what did he do.' Jake who was intrigued by this routine asked the Atlas.

(Well Jake every day you would be required to do a 10km run, 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups and 100 squats.)

'What that's so simple you sure that's it?' Jake was a little suspicious of the routine but ultimately trusted the Atlas.

(Yes Jake, I would recommend doing the run first then coming back to your room and completing the rest of your tasks.)

'Alright let's do it' Jake pumped himself up as he quickly changed and left the house for his morning run taking in the morning atmosphere as the Atlas monitored his route.
