WELCOME BACK!

Adelina finally stirred,

Her eyes fluttered open,

It was dark in the cell,

She tried to move her arms but couldn't move them far.

Hearing the sound of chains and judging from the heaviness of her arms,

She came to the conclusion that she was in restraints.

But why?

"Hey bozo, let me out of these chains" She yelled at a nearby guard.

The guard looked at her fearfully before scrambling away.

"She's awake" He yelled.

Adelina heard other guards repeat what he said like they were relaying the message.

She lay quietly, examining the cell, trying to remember what had happened to her.

Suddenly, she realized that her braids were gone and were replaced by her long mid-back length curly hair.

Someone took it down.

She blew off a curly strand of hair away from her eyes with her mouth.

Her hands itched to tie up her hair in a bun,

She was irritated and frustrated.

The metal door of the cell was opened.

Guards came in cautiously, gripping their guns so tightly that their knuckles turned white.

Adelina glared at them menacingly, looking up at them without moving her head.

She saw her reflection on the polished surface of a gun.

When had her eyes turned so golden brown.

She understood why they were scared.

She looked terrifying, but in a good way so she guessed she had probably done something to earn this reaction from them,

The chains fell off her hands on their own,

And weapons were pointed at her.

She rolled her eyes and raised her hands in defeat.

The bravest of them walked towards her cautiously.

Pulling her up, turning her to face the wall before placing handcuffs on her hands behind her back,

She could feel him tremble as he handled her.

She laughed,

No,

She wasn't scared,

She felt very powerful,

There was a difference, she felt stronger than before.

Weapons were still trained on her as she was led out of the cell,

Guards trembled as she sauntered past.

She could only wonder what she had done.

They led her through left and right turns, alert throughout the trip,

They went into an elevator,

A guard pressed the button with a crown engraved on it.

In about two minutes, the doors opened, revealing a massive black door with a golden knob.

Another guard stepped forward and knocked on the door,

"Come in" A deep voice ordered,

"Mr Fernando" Adelina's mind informed her,

She was in shock, how had she known?

They opened the door,

It led to an expansive ultra-modern looking office.

The man sat resplendent behind his desk, he looked like he was in his late fifties.

He chuckled,

Adelina tilted her head, giving him a confused yet challenging glare that screamed ' try me '

Why wasn't he scared too?

"I'm Fernando, you must be Adelina, I've heard a great deal about you" He said.

"Terrible things, I hope" Adelina stated expressionlessly.

"Yes, have a seat" He said motioning to the seat in front of him, kindness draining from his face.

"I'll only sit if you agree to answer a question" Adelina bargained.

"You dare to make requests?" He growled, in an attempt to intimidate her.

"Yes" Adelina answered flatly.

"You are as impudent as they say" He stated,

"And you're even more vile than I've heard" Adelina retorted almost immediately.

"Lock your smart mouth up, woman"

"I suggest you stay on my good side if you want me to cooperate" Adelina threatened as her eyes seemed to glow with murderous intent.

"Fine, I'll answer what ever question you have" He agreed.

Adelina sat,

"Firstly, I would like to know why I'm being chained like a criminal" Adelina stated.

"Well, you have the tendency to be very violent as I've heard, plus you've killed a lot of my men" He explained as he relaxed in his chair,

"I only killed one" Adelina stated, denying his allegation.

Mr Fernando cocked an eyebrow in surprise and doubt,

He looked up at the guards,

"She killed the others in her sleep" one of them informed him.

"That's a shitty lie, how can I kill in my sleep" Adelina chuckled,

"It's not, there's footage pertaining to that" The guard answered,

Adelina huffed angrily,

"So you see, you're dangerous and until you learn to control yourself, you won't be leaving those shackles anytime soon, take her" He ordered his guards,

Two guards moved forward to take her,

"Wait...Stop, let's make a deal" Adelina offered,

"What?" Fernando asked, hiding his bemusement behind a emotionless facade,

"I'll behave, just release me now and give me a chance" Adelina said,

"On one condition" Mr Fernando said,

"And what is that?" She asked,

"Swear your loyalty to me" He said,

"Is that your way of recruiting me?" She asked, arching an eyebrow,

"You would be trained properly first" He said,

"Fine, I'll swear my loyalty to you" Adelina agreed,

"You know what happens if you break an oath?"

She nodded in response.

"Okay, take the handcuffs off her" He ordered,

"What? Boss, you can't" The guards protested,

"Do as I say" He growled,

They cautiously removed the handcuffs,

Adelina massaged her bruised purple wrists.

She walked towards Mr Fernando,

All guns in the room were directed towards her, all fingers on the trigger, waiting to be fired.

He stretched out his hand,

She went down on one knee, before taking his hand and placing a kiss on it,

"You have my service Don" She said without thinking,

How had she known?

"Take her to join the others in training" Mr Fernando ordered.

"Yes Don" The guards said as they saluted him before guiding her out of the room.

Before leaving, she looked back at him and smirked.

He returned the gesture.

Mr Fernando was oddly similar to Blythe's father, Mr Thompson.

Adelina had a croissant and coffee for breakfast before joining the class A women.

She was surprised that the quality of their food had been upgraded.

The guards escorted her to the training grounds.

Girls whispered as they saw her, they were about roughly forty in number.

Adelina rolled her eyes,

It would not be surprising if they knew about what she had done.

Suddenly, someone ran at her and pulled her into a hug.

She was stunned for a second or two before looking at the golden brown curly fluffy hair that embraced her attacker's back.

"I missed you so much Adelina, I thought they would kill you" the woman sobbed.

"Violetta?" Adelina's asked in surprise.

She was much taller than Adelina remembered and she sounded different, more mature.

She pulled away, tears in her eyes,

Adelina grabbed her face, examining it,

Her once round childish face was chiseled and held a pretty gaze,

Somehow, they had managed to age her physically and probably psychologically,

"Told you she'd survive" Danielle grinned,

Her curly hair was definitely longer and bouncier than Adelina remembered,

"What did they do to you all?" Adelina asked,

"you mean us?" Ruby grinned, her smile seemed to highlight the specks of red in her eyes,

"We were S.M'd" A husky female voice said behind her,

Adelina turned around quickly,

"Raven?" She yelled,

Raven's hair was now waist length, her eyes were blacker than ever, like ebony,

"What does S.M'd mean?" Adelina asked,

"Scientifically Modified" A smoother and silkier voice answered,

She had blonde fluffy hair that didn't pass her shoulder, she had light brown hazel like eyes, plump pink lips and droopy eyelids that made it look like she was sleepy,

She was fair skinned and gorgeous,

"Who are you?" Adelina asked,

"Lorelai Aurelius, you?" She asked stretching out her hand for a shake,

"Adelina Costa" Adelina said as she accepted the gesture, returning it with her own.
