GUESS WHO'S BACK?

"When you asked about my take on corsets three days ago, I didn't think you meant this, Anna" Adelina groaned as the young maid pulled on the strings of the corset tighter,

"It was the best collection in the magazine" Anna groaned as she tied the strings tightly,

Adelina rolled her eyes as Anna threw a skirt over her head,

"See, it's pretty" Anna smiled,

"Yeah, that's if I was the princess of England" Adelina groaned as she walked away from the mirror,

Her hair was put in a low complicated and decorated bun,

"Breakfast should be ready" Anna informed her,

"Has the master come back?" Adelina asked,

"No, I've gotten no information about his whereabouts whatsoever" Anna replied,

Adelina smiled at her before turning away,

Three days and two nights, that's how long Angelo had been gone for,

She had tried to snoop around his office but it was always heavily guarded and locked with high tech,

And the room was practically empty, no juicy secrets or information were in sight,

She had to get the secret files when he was around,

Of course, Adelina had everyone in the house under her charms, including Angelo's three sisters who visited frequently,

"Are you having dinner here, ma'am?" Anna asked,

"Who's around?" Adelina asked as she got up from the bed,

"Lady Cassandra and Lady Angelica" Anna answered,

"I'll be down in five" Adelina answered,

"Alright" Anna said as she bowed politely before leaving the room,

"Lady Vasílissa will be with you in a moment" Adelina heard Anna announce as she walked down the stairs,

Angelica, the younger of the two sisters present stood up immediately she saw Vasílissa, rushing to her side to greet her,

"My goodness, Vasí, good morning" She smiled as she pecked her on both sides of her face,

"It's a pleasure to see you too" Adelina smiled, returning the gesture,

"Hello" Cassandra greeted as they took their seats,

"Why, hello to you too, Cassie" Adelina smiled,

"So why are you here?" Adelina asked after they were done eating,

"To take you shopping, of course" Angelica squealed excitedly,

"I'm not coming" Cassandra added,

"Why not?" Adelina asked,

"When it comes to shopping, Angel is intolerable, she'd keep you shopping till dawn" Cassandra groaned,

"Don't be such a grump Cassie, everyone loves shopping, right Vasí?" Angelica asked,

"As long as there are pee breaks and free food, count me in" Adelina shrugged,

"I don't think you understand what you're getting yourself into, Vasílissa, it's like a day of hell on earth" Cassandra warned,

"As long as there's food, free food to be precise, I think I'm good" Adelina shrugged,

"So we're going this morning" Angelica smiled, clapping her hands gleefully,

"Like right now?" Adelina asked,

"Yeahhh, get your face done, let's leave" Angelica said,

"And that's my cue to leave, bye girls" Cassandra said before she left the house quickly so she wouldn't be pressured into going,

At the end of the day, Cassandra was right,

Shopping wasn't just Angelica's passion, it was an obsession,

An unhealthy obsession,

Adelina got out of Angelica's shower before stepping into the room,

She saw Angelica on the bed, scrolling through her phone,

Shopping bags of different expensive popular brands surrounded her,

"What are you doing, Angie?" Adelina asked,

"Online Shopping?" Angelica shrugged like a little child who had been caught sneaking candy,

Adelina sighed, before flopping down on the bed,

"Do you mind if I crash at your place tonight, I'm hella tired, I don't think I can handle the trip back home" Adelina sighed,

"Well, I don't wanna seem to be the bringer of bad tidings but it seems my brother just got home and he's furious" Angelica said as she shoved her phone into Adelina's face,

The screen brightly displayed,

"SEND HER HOME, RIGHT NOW"

Adelina got up with so much energy,

"Oh my God, he's gonna kill me" Adelina pretended to be fearful,

"I thought you weren't dating him" Angelica said,

"I'm not" She yelled defensively,

"So Angelo's just delulu?" Angelica asked,

"I don't know what that means but I guess so" Adelina shrugged,

"So, you're telling me that you're not official and he's so protective of you?" Angelica asked,

"Yeah" Adelina shrugged,

"He's definitely delulu" Angelica sighed,

"Once again I'm gonna pretend that I know what that means and ask how I will carry all these things you forced me to buy back home" Adelina said,

"Oh right, MAX, STEPHEN" she yelled,

Two hefty soldiers came in, carrying her stuff out without being told what to do,

"There, problemo solved" Angelica grinned,

"I'll see you when my brother is not mad at me any longer" Angelica said as she pecked both sides of her cheek,

"Bye" Adelina said before she left Angelica's home,

Adelina got home and was faced with a lot of worried maids, who rushed her into a room upstairs,

"The master is very very mad at you, Lady Vasílissa" Anna said as she started undoing Adelina's clothes,

"How mad?" Adelina asked,

"Very" Anna groaned as she finally pulled off the corset,

A maid rubbed some scented oil on her body,

Another struggled to fix her hair up,

While the others rummaged through the bags she brought home,

"Here" one said as she handed a white lacy lingerie to Anna,

"Why white?" Adelina asked as she struggled to put it on,

"He likes white, now shut up and concentrate on wearing it" Anna snapped,

"Does he know I'm home?" Adelina asked,

"No, not yet, the master is taking a bath" Anna answered as she ruffled her hair a bit,

She walked around her, making sure the lingerie was worn properly before tying the strings at the back tightly,

"Oww" Adelina groaned,

"Bear it, get the robe Rue" Anna muttered,

The maid named Rue went and fetched a black fluffy robe,

Anna made Adelina wear it before helping her tie it,

"How do I look?" Adelina asked,

"You look pretty" Anna said as she pinched her cheeks tenderly,

"What's gonna be my excuse?" Adelina asked,

"I don't know, he's really mad" Anna sighed as she tried to think,

"Wait, Xanthe, get that bag"

"No, not that one, the other one" Anna yelled,

"The lingerie bag?" Xanthe asked,

"Yes Xanthe, the lingerie bag" Anna answered before the bag was handed to her,

Adelina raised an eyebrow,

"How does, ' I wanted to get lingeries to wear for you' sound?" Anna asked,

"Perfect" Adelina smiled at her quick thinking,

"Now, we need to get you to his room before he gets out" Anna said as she dragged her out of the room,

"Remember, don't back talk, be quiet and listen to what he's going to say, be gentle but adamant, insist on staying till he hears your side of the story" Anna advised for the fifth time as they hurried along the hall,

"Sure, sure" Adelina answered,

Anna opened the room's door slowly, peeking to see if he was out,

"Go, go" Anna said as she pushed her into the room, and to the bed, before dumping some lingeries on it,

Anna rushed to Adelina's vanity, picking up her body perfume,

Spraying it around the room,

"What are you doing?" Adelina asked,

"Making sure he smells that you're around" Anna answered as she dropped the perfume back to where she found it,

"That's pretty expensive" Adelina sighed as Anna hurried towards her, pulling the golden curtains of the bed down, so that all that could be seen was her silhouette,

"Good luck, Lady Vasílissa, I'll be taking my leave now, we'll be praying for you" She said as she bowed politely before slipping out of the room quietly,

And thank goodness she left hen she did, because Angelo stepped out of the bathroom immediately the door closed,

Of course, he smelt that Adelina was home,

It was pretty obvious,

He walked to the mini parlor silently before pouring himself a drink, not sparing a glance at her silhouette in the bed,

When he gulped down the wine, he turned to Adelina's figure on the bed and rasped,

"GET OUT VASÍLISSA".
