The black dress that Katrinah had given her was snug and fitted her just right.

Just like it had been specifically made for her.

The slit of the dress wandered up till it hit her bare thigh.

She had just laid her baby hairs and was about to grab her pause when Jacquelynne yelled.

"Adelina, get down here, it's almost eight"

Adelina picked her purse and briskly walked down the stairs and into the common room.

"Here" Jacquelynne said as she placed an earpiece in Adelina's ear and watched it camouflage against her brown skin.

"Uhmm, Adelina, this is Vincenzo, and Vincenzo, this is Adelina" Jacquelynne said as she introduced them to each other.

"You will be escorting her to the Moreno house warming party today" Jacquelynne added.

Adelina felt his hot aquamarine eyes watching her.

She looked up at him, gazing into his eyes, his mysterious and enchanting eyes.

Then he led her out of the building and into a black car.

"What shall I call you tonight?" He asked as he drove.

"Please refer to me as Skylar, Skylar Jackson" Adelina answered.

"Alright" he answered,

"We're here" Vincenzo said before going over to her side to open the door for her.

Her dress dazzled black in the darker night as she stepped out.

Silver jewelry screaming for attention on her smooth brown skin.

People were just trooping in.

Some did a double take while the others stared till she walked into the house.

They had never seen her before.

"I'm in the house" Adelina whispered.

"I'll be with you soon, I'm trying to hack into the security system" Jacquelynne answered through the earpiece.

"Okay, hurry up" Adelina whispered as she saw Vincenzo walk up to her with two drinks in hand.

She glanced up at him, smiling appreciatively before picking a random drink.

"Thanks" she said as she sipped the wine.

Few minutes into the ceremony, Jacqueline came through as a man she suspected to be Gabriel walked unto a platform with a microphone in hand.

"I'm in" Jacquelynne said as he started his speech.

He droned on and on, talking about things that didn't make much sense to Adelina because she was busy wondering when it was going to end.

Well, until they locked eyes,

She batted her eyelashes at him slowly before turning her face away from the platform and to the bar table.

She heard a pause in his speech as he sucked in a sharp breath.

A small smirk graced her lips as she opened her eyes.

The target had noticed her.

From her peripheral vision, she saw someone who looked oddly familiar,

She squinted and narrowed her eyes at the figure while tilting her head as she tried to make out who the person was

"Seven?" She whispered out loud to herself.

She pushed through the crowd, offering a lot of mumbled sorries.

She sighed in relief as she finally got to him.

But three burly men seemed to materialize and block her path.

The one leading smirked down at her.

Oh, how she wished that she could wipe of the smirk on his lips with her heeled shoe.

"You lost, darling?" He asked.

"I'm not lost, but you're about to lose your life if you don't watch your shitty mouth, you dumb little..." Adelina mumbled to herself in greek.

She only did that when she was mad,

"What was that?" The man asked, genuinely confused.

"She's not lost" Vincenzo's raspy voice said as he came into view, standing in front of Adelina.

Adelina let out a long sigh before rolling her eyes.

She placed her slender hand on Vincenzo's arm before pushing him from her front while whispering to him.

"Let me deal with this, Vince"

"Are you sure?" He whispered as he turned to her.

She pursed her lips and gave him the side eye,

"Watch me" She e whispered, Vincenzo let out an amused huff before stepping aside.

Adelina's gaze found it's way back to Seven's men,

She gave them the most venomous smile in her books while staring at them with siren eyes harsh enough to kill any pirate,

She placed a hand on the leader, looking up at him before blinking slowly.

She felt him shudder at her touch.

"I'm a friend of Seven" She whispered in Italian.

The man understood what she had said and cleared the path for her immediately.

Vincenzo's lips curled up in a smirk; "Hypnosis, huh?"

"See" Adelina whispered as she looked over her shoulder to grin at Vincenzo,

He shook his head and walked away.

Adelina walked up to Seven,

At first, he narrowed his eyes at her, like he was trying to recognize her,

As she drew nearer, he finally remembered her.

"Vasílissa" He said as he smiled at her.

"You look happy, what are you doing here" She asked as she tilted her head as she remembered to switch into the personality and accent he was familiar with.

"I was going to say the same thing, I hope you're not planning on..." He paused to cock an eyebrow up, so that she could get the hint,

"No, no, I didn't come here to murder anyone" She smiled.

"Thank goodness, because last time was rough" he muttered,

"So what happened to Erick's empire?" Adelina asked with genuine interest.

"It turned out that he left me as his heir, so I took over" Seven answered.

"And how's that been for you?" She asked,

"It was hard at first because of some oppositions but I think I have them under control now" He shrugged.

"I remember I still owe you a favour" Adelina said as she got a paper and pen before scribbling things on it.

"My number and address, in case you need help unaliving someone, for free" She whispered.

"Anyone?" He asked.

"Anyone" she smiled as she winked at him before walking away.

"I'll keep it in mind" He called after her.

Adelina looked towards the platform where Gabriel was supposed to be,

He was gone,

She felt so stupid, how could she have lost him.

She sighed,

"Don't be so down, Sky, it's his housewarming so he will be in the crowd somewhere" Vincenzo assured her as he handed her another glass of champagne,

"If you say so" Adelina sighed as she took it from him.

"Speak of the devil himself" Vincenzo whispered to her as they looked up to see Gabriel making his way towards her,

"I'll be in the crowd" He added before leaving her stealthily.

Gabriel flashed her a million dollar grin as he walked up to her,

"Gabriel Moreno" He said, extending his hand for a shake,

Adelina answered with a Spanish accent.

"Skylar, Skylar Jackson" She said, not accepting his hand gesture, but pecking him at both sides of his cheek,

He gave her a dazzling smile,

"Pleasure to meet you" She smiled.
