"I'm really sorry about my son's attitude." Kate apologized, referring to Kiefer's response from earlier. "Also, it's too bad that Keith has an important discussion about the company with his father. I'm sure if it's not the case he would have sent you home himself." Kate explained.
"It's alright Aunt Kate. I don't want to be a burden to you or your family." Jade replied sweetly, even though she wanted to scream in reality.
"Don't be silly, you're not a burden, I'm really grateful that you came tonight." Kate said happily as she was finally able to have the younger woman meet with her son.
Jade smiled, feeling ecstatic at the older woman's reaction. "Then, thanks for having me. I really had a great time."
"Take care and give my regards to your mom. I really should meet her one of these days."
"She would love that. Aunt Kate let me treat you for tea as a simple thanks for inviting me over for dinner."
"That's lovely of you. I'll call you once I clear my schedule." Kate said as she gave Jade a warm hug before the latter got inside the car. Kate waved goodbye as the car left the driveway.
Jade happily waved back enthusiastically. She was all smiles until the car was out of sight. She was seething inside, she couldn't believe how rude that Kiefer Andersen was to her. Thankfully, she was not being set up with that man since they are much closer in age because it would take too much effort not to show her true emotions in front of the Andersens. She was so furious when Kiefer bluntly told Mrs. Andersen that she will never be her daughter in law. She wanted to glare at him and shut him up. He's just a brat and just a spare heir anyway. The Andersen family can survive without him.
Jade smirked as she pettily thought of all the events she would host as the new Mrs. Andersen, she will make sure Kiefer would not be able to come and ruin her party. She can't wait to plan all the parties and order anyone she wants to follow all her whims. She'll have all the famous designers create limited edition gowns for her. She can have all the jewelry she wants without thinking of the price, being a member of the Andersen family ensures all that. All she needs to do is just be patient for now, she already has Kate Andersen in the palm of her hands. Keith may still be indifferent for now but he'll give in eventually.
Jade believes that she will succeed in becoming the next Mrs. Andersen because she has a clear goal in mind and she plans everything out thoroughly. She knew that Keith is a workaholic and she'll be the perfect wife for him because she'll never interfere with his work, she'll never demand for his attention. Jade is sure Keith is looking for someone like that. She's not like those other women who cling to him the moment they get the chance to have a date set up with him. She just needs him to marry him and give her access to Andersen's money and she'll be happy to let Keith do whatever he wants. He can even have a mistress and she won't even bat an eye. She just needs the money and occasionally has Keith escort her on events to show everyone who he belongs to.
Jade's mood lifted as soon as she thought of her plans, a little lump like Kiefer will not sullen her mood. She can already see her plans succeeding and she can't wait till she becomes one of the Andersens.

"I can't believe I'm related to the likes of you." Kate exclaimed as soon as she returned from sending Jade off. She can't believe Keith not Lawrence joined her. She felt embarrassed by their actions tonight.
Kate glared at the three men who all seemed unbothered by her outburst.
"You, where are your manners huh? Did I raise you to be rude?" Kate said, turning her attention to her youngest son who just shrugged her off.
"Mother, I'm just telling the truth. My older brother will not give her a second glance, hell he won't even bother glancing her way. So mother, sorry to disappoint you but this ones a failure again." Kiefer replied, grinning at his mother. "Stop frowning mom, you'll get more wrinkles." Kiefer said, giving his mom a kiss before leaving the room. He can tell there is some serious talk going on and he doesn't want to be caught in the middle of it.
Kate sighed and glared at her husband this time.
"Yeah, I know it's my fault. Just leave him be, you know your son likes teasing you so just don't mind him." Lawrence replied before Kate even said anything.
"Anyway, you two just go and talk about whatever you were planning to discuss." Kate said resigned. She gave up getting irritated. "Oh by the way Keith, let me know when you're free, we should have dinner with Jade and her mom. I really want to meet her mother. Lawrence, if you're available you should join us too."
"Mom, I can't. I'm not available." Keith replied nonchalantly much to Lawrence's frustrations.
"Honey, why don't you sit down for a moment and join us." Lawrence said to his wife.
"I thought you'd talk about something business related? Why do you need me around?" Kate asked, confused.
Lawrence sighed. "Your son has something he wants to tell us."
Kate raised her eyebrow in confusion but sit down nonetheless.
Lawrence glanced at his eldest son, signaling him to start what he came here for.
"Mom, I want you to stop setting me up for blind dates." Keith said, staring at his mom intently.
"No, I will not stop. I just want you to get married and have kids and with the way you bury yourself with work there's no way you will have time to meet up with anyone." Kate objected. She may seem meddlesome to some people but she just has Keith's best interest in her heart. She hates that her son comes home to an empty house with no one waiting for him aside from his servants. She knew that Keith barely stayed at his own house and only focused his time on work. If she won't interfere, Keith will be an old man before he starts looking for a wife. She doesn't want to force him to marry someone that's why she is still giving him the chance to choose. She's just helping him find a suitable wife for him.
"That's what I'm saying Mom. I don't need to go on a blind date because I am already married." Keith blurted out much to his mom's shock.
Kate raised her finger as if to say something but nothing came out of her. Lawrence looked at his wife worriedly as he knew Keith had not told her the rest of his news.
"Alfred!" Kate called out to their butler after a while.
"Yes Madam?" Alfred asked.
"Get me a glass of whiskey immediately." Kate ordered which Albert immediately followed. She gulped down the whole glass as soon as Albert handed it to her. "So you're saying that you're married already? Did I hear that correctly?" Kate asked Keith after finishing the drink.
"Yes mother."
"And you're only telling us now because?" Kate asked sternly. She's overwhelmed with the news that she doesn't know if she would be happy or mad.
"We have some things to settle first on my wife's side." Keith explained briefly.
"Do you know about this?" Kate turned and asked her husband who replied that he only learned about it as well tonight. "Do we know her? Is she one of the women I set you up with?" Kate couldn't help but ask though she had a feeling it would be the contrary.
"No mother, my wife is from an ordinary family and he's a man. I married an Omega." Keith exclaimed.
Kate gasped loudly at Keith's declaration. She thought her son was not interested in Omegas which is why she never considered it. Besides there has never been an Omega in the Andersen family as far as she knows nor in her family as well. Generations by generations their families has been arranging marriage between Alphas only.
She frowned as a sudden thought hit her.
"Are you sure you're not making this up just to make me stop from setting up all those blind dates?" Kate asked accusingly. She knew how Keith hated the blind dates but still went through with it because he can't say no to her.
"Mom, I will not lie about something like this." Keith grabbed his hair frustratingly. He left his wife alone tonight just to come and explain everything to his parents and his mother would not believe him.
"Then bring your wife here tomorrow." Kate challenged her son, she believes that Keith is lying about having a wife.
"I can't." Keith declined.
"And why not?" Kate frowned. Her suspicions are growing stronger.
"My wife needs time." Keith replied. Alex's condition is still delicate and he doesn't want to stress him too much. "I'll bring him on Friday." Alex would have his check up on that day and they would have the afternoon off, at least he could hell ease his mind in preparation for meeting his family.
"If you really have a wife, why can't you bring him here immediately? I will not believe it until you bring him here." Kate said defiantly. She still firmly believes that Keith is lying, why would he need almost a week just to bring his wife to meet them?
