Academy of Chaos

“…… She’s a failure from birth” The words of her Grandmother echoed continuously in Yetunde’s head, as she aimlessly wandered the forest, with tears running down her pitiful eyes. Her attention and interest immediately got piqued, when she heard an eerie but peaceful song, alongside a cluster of weird but beautiful glowing particles, originating from a cave, deep within the treacherous ends of the forest. At the entrance of the cave, she felt a grotesque energy surge, which for some reason attracted her towards itself, thereby distorting her sense of reasoning. On entering the cave, Yetunde was immediately greeted by a group of infuriated witches. Originally wanting to kill her for intruding, Yetunde finds redemption and solace in the coven. The Queen of the Coven, Ella, surprisingly gifts Yetunde with a rare Arcane treasure, which she believed would help the young girl out of her present predicament. Shortly after the encounter with the witches, Yetunde was suddenly accepted to school at the most prestigious Academy of magic, known famously as “Solaris Arcane Academy”. Her acceptance was due to the sudden awakening of her innate Affinity. Not only gaining popularity, she gained superiority and soon found herself in an environment of both people who despise her and those who loves her. Making both friends and enemies in her new school, Yetunde and her peers wakes to find themselves on a rollercoaster of action, horror, drama, love, tragedy and other thrilling experiences. After going on countless quests and adventures, Yetunde soon discovered a shocking truth behind her existence. It dawned on her after a brief encounter with her previous incarnation. In her previous life, she was famously known as “The Witch of Chaos”, a human God, whose name got forgotten in time, right after her inglorious Battle with the dreaded Demon Lord, Jarzodon. Unlike other humans, she had an abstract affinity which allowed her to comprehend the seven basic Elemental forces of Nature and after further comprehension of these elements, she was able to awaken a far bizarre Affinity called “Chaos”. With her new profound Affinity, Yetunde soon rises through the ranks of her peers, becoming one of the most powerful Mage, the world as ever seen, as she prepared for her fated battle against The Demon Lord of Malevolence. Immediately after the defeat of the Demon Lord, a new foe rose with an Eldritch Affinity, far greater than that of The Witch of Chaos. Easily defeating Yetunde, The New Witch of Chaos, This new foe began to plunged the universe into a state of disorder and darkness. Yetunde, not willing to accept defeat, joined forces with her peers and family, and with this new power, she challenged her foe to another duel. After defeating this new threat, The Witch of Chaos returned the universe to it’s former state of serenity, restoring peace to the world. Shortly after her battle, Yetunde was forced to relinquish her humanity, in order to transcend into Godhood. What would she do? Will she abandon her humanity and became a God or will she forsake Godhood?

CHAPTER 25: We’ve got to help

"Alright!" She said, swiftly heading towards the Fire Faction's Female Dormitory.

Immediately she got there, she located Yetunde's room, walking inside immediately.

"Hey Chi-Chi wassup!" Vanessa brightly said, staring at Chioma.

"Something's wrong!" Chioma worriedly said, confusing both Yetunde and Vanessa.

"Something's wrong with Oliver!" She promptly added, worrying her mates.

"What do you mean?" Yetunde inquired, staring earnestly at the distressed teenage girl standing right in front of her.

"And also, what do you mean by Chi-Chi?" She immediately added, shifting her attention to Vanessa.

Hearing Yetunde's second question, Vanessa immediately erupted into laughter, rolling frantically on her bed.

"It's my nickname for her!" Vanessa hysterically answered.

"I don't get it" Yetunde said, solemnly glaring at her awkward roomie.

"So do I!" Chioma added.

"Seriously… Fine, I'll explain" Vanessa commented, rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"Her name is Chioma Chinedu… Chi…Chi, do you get it now?" Vanessa explained, waving her hands frantically in the air.

"Oh yeah!" Yetunde answered, waving her head in affirmation.

"It's just like Reynolds nickname, Rey" She promptly added, wearing a proud smirk.

"Exactly girl!" Vanessa brightly replied.

"Yeah that's great, I love the nickname by the way!" Chioma hurriedly said.

"You're welcome!" Vanessa politely interrupted.

"But let's focus on the issue I told you guys earlier!" Chioma worriedly exclaimed.

"Which is?" Vanessa confusedly inquired, earnestly staring a worried Chioma.

"Are you serious….. Never mind!" Yetunde said, shaking her head with disappointment.

"It's about Oliver!" Chioma responded.

"Who's Oliver by the way?" Vanessa inquired, simultaneously staring at both her friends.

"You can't be serious!" Yetunde complained, staring at Vanessa with frustration clearly written on her gorgeous face.

"He's that Smart kid from the Earth Faction" Chioma said trying to explain.

"Doesn't ring a bell!" Vanessa said, shrugging her shoulders.

"He wears these funny glasses and answers question like crazy in our classes!" Chioma further explained.

"Are you talking about Oliver Saché?" Vanessa inquired, awkwardly stroking her chin.

"Yes!" Yetunde and Chioma simultaneously exclaimed, smacking their face with disappointment.

"Took you long enough" Yetunde whispered while she glared at her roomie.

"Oh, I knew all along, I just wanted to mess with you two" Vanessa sarcastically boasted, wearing an awkward grin.

Hearing Vanessa's words, were like a bee sting to Yetunde and Chioma's ears, as they wickedly glared at Vanessa. Immediately she noticed the glares she received, she slowly shrunk into her bed, burying her face in her fluffy pillow.

"So what's wrong with Oliver?" Vanessa cautiously inquired.

"Yeah, let's talk about that. What happened to him?" Yetunde commented, fixating her attention towards Chioma.

"I met him on my way here and he wasn't looking good" Chioma replied.

"What do you mean?" Yetunde and Vanessa simultaneously inquired.

"He looked all beat up, you know, like he actually got beat up" Chioma worriedly said.

"Really?" Vanessa promptly commented, trying to confirm the situation.

"Yeah., his face was all plastered up. I think he actually replaced his glasses" Chioma added with a stern facial look.

"We can't really conclude that he got assaulted, since we can't prove it and besides, he's injuries might be caused by a clumsy accident" Yetunde commented, stroking her chin.

"Well, I guess you're right" Chioma responded.

"But, I still think we should look out for him…. Just in case, you do remember what he told us the first day we met?" She promptly added, worriedly staring at her friends.

"Em.. What was it again?" Yetunde curiously asked.

"He said, He wanted to become an Innovator, since he can't defend himself…. Which means" Chioma said.

"Which means, he can't fight for himself!" Yetunde said, politely interrupting.

"Which means, it's gonna be easy for him to get bullied" Vanessa promptly added.

"Oh my goodness" Yetunde commented, caressing her hair.

"So, do you still think he might have gotten into some kind of accident" Chioma inquired, solemnly staring at Yetunde.

"We've really got to help him. If he's actually getting bullied, he won't be able to tell anyone!" Yetunde worriedly said.

"That's the actual reason why we've got to help him" She promptly added.

"We can't!" Vanessa exclaimed.

Hearing Vanessa words, both Chioma and Yetunde confusedly stared at each other, then promptly shifting their attention to Vanessa, "Why?" They simultaneously inquired.

"We aren't sure if he's actually bullied. If he actually is, weren't allowed to chime into the his business without his permission and I'd we do, we'll also be punished alongside the actual bully's" Vanessa sternly explained, wearing a completely serious expression.

"Why will be punished?" Yetunde curiously inquired, earnestly staring at a strangely serious Vanessa.

"We'll be punished for invasion of privacy, it was clearly written in the students Handbook" Vanessa added with her unusual serious look.

"That's right, why did I forget that" Yetunde said, smacking her head.

"That means…" Chioma slowly said.

"We can't help him, until he asks us, if not, we'll just be invading his privacy" Vanessa replied, completing Chioma's sentence.

"This sucks!" Yetunde said, angrily burying her face into her pillow.

"Whoa, I'm surprised that you were able to deduce that!" She added, obviously referring to Vanessa.

"I'm really good, aren't I?" Vanessa boasted, wearing a proud smirk.

"Don't push it" Yetunde commented, fixing her gaze on a boastful Vanessa.

"This sucks!" Chioma yelled, obviously frustrated.

"I think I've got a plan" Vanessa immediately said, grabbing both girl's attention.

"Really!" Yetunde curiously inquired.

"What is it?" Chioma promptly asked, earnestly staring at Vanessa for answers

"Alright, first of all, we need to get proof that he's actually being bullied" Vanessa said, staring at her friends.

"Yeah!" Yetunde promptly answered.

"So, we can just monitor him, till we find out if he's actually getting bullied. Once we've ascertained that, we'll then move on to the next stage of my plan!" Vanessa explained.

"Which is?" Chioma curiously inquired.

"With that proof, we'll be able to prompt him to ask for our help. Once he tells us, we'll then be allowed to burst up some muhf**kers" Vanessa excitedly exclaimed.

"That's great!" Yetunde brightly commented.

"That's a great plan!" Chioma excitedly said.

"But take note, for the second and third phase of the plan to work, We still need his consent… which means!" Vanessa said before she got interrupted.

"For the plan still depends on Oliver" Chioma promptly said.

"Yes!" Vanessa answered.

"So what's the use of spying on him!" Yetunde said, glaring at her roommate.

"I was hoping maybe we could use the proof to force him to tell us!" Vanessa replied.

"Also, I thought it would be cool to be spies" She wryly added.

"Really!" Yetunde inquired, glaring at Vanessa.

"Yeah!" Vanessa replied.

"We'll do it" Chioma promptly said.

"Are you sure?" Yetunde inquired, fixing her gaze on Chioma.

"I mean it's worth to try and If it doesn't work, we'll just think of something else!" Chioma said with an reassuring tone.

"Alright then, but if we're gonna do this, we'll need all the help we can get… We've got to inform Rey" Yetunde replied, wearing a bright smirk.

"You're right!" Vanessa said , reaching out for a bar shaped runic glass.

After a few taps on the runic item, Reynolds voice promptly boomed out of the item. Judging by its looks, The runic glass was actually a product of Arcatech. Also from the shape of the Runic glass, one could tell it was some kind of Arcane smart phone.

" Hey Wassup!" Rey exclaimed.

"We're fine" Vanessa answered.

"I'm kinda caught up in something, so please make it quick!" Reynolds replied.

"Alright!" Vanessa answered.

"You that guy in our class, Oliver Saché!" She added.

"Yeah, what about him?" He answered.

"Chi-Chi thinks he's getting bullied!" Vanessa said.

"That's not cool!" He promptly responded.

"So, what's the plan!" He said.

"We're gonna find out if he's actually getting bullied and if he is, we're gonna help him!"

"Fine by me.. Tomorrow right before class, you're gonna tell me the plan!"

"Yeah!"

"Great.. I've got to get going!"

"Okay, Bye!"

"Bye!" Reynolds said, immediately terminating the call.

"That's great!" Yetunde excitedly exclaimed.

"Let's do this!" Vanessa wickedly colliding her fist's together.

"Ouch!" She exclaimed internally.

"Doesn't that hurt?" Chioma curiously asked, staring at Vanessa's fist.

"Yes!" She responded, waving her hands, obviously trying to shrug that pain.

"But it was worth it!" She promptly commented.

"No, it wasn't!" Yetunde said, weirdly staring at Vanessa.

"Yes, it was!"

"No… it wasn't!"

"Yes…. It was!"

Both girls argued while Chioma just watched, occasionally erupting into laughter.

Monday, the Next day,

Cafeteria,

Solaris Arcane Academy.

The Café was as packed as ever, with students trying to get their breakfast before their morning classes, but thanks to the enormous size of the hall, the number of students didn't really matter. Reynolds, Vanessa, Yetunde and Chioma were clearly seen, seated comfortably at a table, obviously discussing about the previous matter.

"So the plan is to spy on him, once we've got enough evidence that he's been bullied we'll force him into asking us for help and then we bust up some muhf**ker's" Reynolds confusedly commented.

"Yup!" Vanessa answered, earnestly staring at Rey.

"Are you sure it's gonna work?" Reynolds inquired.

"I mean, if her doesn't ask us for help, then we can't do anything" He promptly added.

"We know that and I'd it happens, we'll think of something else!" Chioma answered, caressing her silky brown hair.

"One more thing, isn't spying on him also invading his privacy?" Reynolds said.

"Yeah, we've got no other option* Vanessa replied, rolling her eyes.

"In that case, I'm in!" Reynolds commented, with a hearty chuckle

"Really!" Vanessa curiously inquired.

"Yes, it will be cool to be spies!" Rey answered, wearing a bright smile.

"Yeah, it will be!" Vanessa excitedly said, awkwardly staring at Yetunde, who immediately reciprocated.

"Let's just hope this works!"
