Academy of Chaos

“…… She’s a failure from birth” The words of her Grandmother echoed continuously in Yetunde’s head, as she aimlessly wandered the forest, with tears running down her pitiful eyes. Her attention and interest immediately got piqued, when she heard an eerie but peaceful song, alongside a cluster of weird but beautiful glowing particles, originating from a cave, deep within the treacherous ends of the forest. At the entrance of the cave, she felt a grotesque energy surge, which for some reason attracted her towards itself, thereby distorting her sense of reasoning. On entering the cave, Yetunde was immediately greeted by a group of infuriated witches. Originally wanting to kill her for intruding, Yetunde finds redemption and solace in the coven. The Queen of the Coven, Ella, surprisingly gifts Yetunde with a rare Arcane treasure, which she believed would help the young girl out of her present predicament. Shortly after the encounter with the witches, Yetunde was suddenly accepted to school at the most prestigious Academy of magic, known famously as “Solaris Arcane Academy”. Her acceptance was due to the sudden awakening of her innate Affinity. Not only gaining popularity, she gained superiority and soon found herself in an environment of both people who despise her and those who loves her. Making both friends and enemies in her new school, Yetunde and her peers wakes to find themselves on a rollercoaster of action, horror, drama, love, tragedy and other thrilling experiences. After going on countless quests and adventures, Yetunde soon discovered a shocking truth behind her existence. It dawned on her after a brief encounter with her previous incarnation. In her previous life, she was famously known as “The Witch of Chaos”, a human God, whose name got forgotten in time, right after her inglorious Battle with the dreaded Demon Lord, Jarzodon. Unlike other humans, she had an abstract affinity which allowed her to comprehend the seven basic Elemental forces of Nature and after further comprehension of these elements, she was able to awaken a far bizarre Affinity called “Chaos”. With her new profound Affinity, Yetunde soon rises through the ranks of her peers, becoming one of the most powerful Mage, the world as ever seen, as she prepared for her fated battle against The Demon Lord of Malevolence. Immediately after the defeat of the Demon Lord, a new foe rose with an Eldritch Affinity, far greater than that of The Witch of Chaos. Easily defeating Yetunde, The New Witch of Chaos, This new foe began to plunged the universe into a state of disorder and darkness. Yetunde, not willing to accept defeat, joined forces with her peers and family, and with this new power, she challenged her foe to another duel. After defeating this new threat, The Witch of Chaos returned the universe to it’s former state of serenity, restoring peace to the world. Shortly after her battle, Yetunde was forced to relinquish her humanity, in order to transcend into Godhood. What would she do? CHAPTER 22: Oliver Saché [III]

"You Rey. I was talking to you Rey!" Chioma wryly responded.

"Chioma is right, we need to find a boo…" Yetunde said as she suddenly froze up.

In front of her was a silhouette figure but to everyone else, it was a regular student. This figure was the exact one she saw in the Library a day ago. From the figure, emitted a deathly cold aura which induced fear into Yetunde, but it seemed like the figure didn't know the Yetunde was able to see it. The figure out simply walked passed her and immediately disappeared, relieving Yetunde from its paralyzing effect

"Yetunde…. Yetunde…. Yetunde!!* Both Chioma and Reynolds simultaneously exclaimed, trying wake her up from her self-induced trance.

"Huh?" She confusedly blurted.

'What happened?" Reynolds curiously inquired.

"You just spaced out!" Chioma promptly said.

"Did… did.. Did you see that thing?" Yetunde stuttered in confusion and fright.

"See what?" Chioma and Reynolds confusedly inquired.

"That….. thing" She stuttered, pointing earnestly at what she saw.

Seeing what she was doing, Reynolds and Chioma got gravely confused, as they tried to picture what Yetunde saw.

"There's nothing they" Chioma said, placing her hand on Yetunde's forehead.

The results of this test further shocked Chioma as she discovered Yetunde current temperature was extremely cold, which made her seem like she was dead.

"Shit… What's going on with you? Chioma worriedly inquired.

"What is it?" Reynolds inquired, placing his own hand on Yetunde forehead. The results also shocked Reynolds, causing him to instantly take his hand off her forehead.

"Shit, we've gotta get her to the Med department!" Reynolds exclaimed.

As Chioma and Reynolds contemplated on what to do, Yetunde was busy shivering in fear and chills while she tried to find the silhouette figure. After moments of continuous search, she discovered that the grotesque figure had vanished. Seeing this, Yetunde's body slowly returned to normal.

"Hey....guys!" She stuttered, shocking the duo.

'Are you alright?" Reynolds inquired, frantically shaking Yetunde.

"She won't be if you keep shaking her like that" Chioma commented rolling her eyes.

"Oops, sorry!" Reynolds hurriedly apologized.

"I think I'm alright!" Yetunde answered, gripping her head.

"Are you sure?" Chioma worriedly inquired, staring earnestly at Yetunde.

'Yeah, I'm fine!" She replied, staggering towards the Library.

"Come on, let's go!" She promptly added.

"Alright!" Chioma said.

"If you say so!" Reynolds added, shrugging his shoulder.

Seeing she was slowly heading towards the Library, Chioma and Rey followed suit, trying to suppress their friend.

Few Minutes later,

The trio were spotted at Library, seemingly browsing through the aisles. Moments later, they were accosted by non other than Oliver Saché.

"Hey guys!" He said, waving casually at the trio.

"Oh hey, wassup Oliver!" Reynolds replied reciprocating the hand wave.

"Hi Oliver!' Chioma responded also reciprocating the hand wave.

"Hi!" Yetunde promptly added.

"I'm fine, thanks for asking!" Oliver answered.

"That's cool!" Reynolds promptly said, wearing a cheery smile.

"What brings you here?" Reynolds inquired, waving his around with enthusiasm.

"I came here to get some books!" Oliver replied while he adjusted his glasses.

"Oh-oh, so you're a nerd like these guys!" Reynolds said with diminished enthusiasm while pointing at Yetunde and Chioma.

"Who are you calling a Nerd!" Yetunde inquired, smacking Rey's head.

"Don't mind him!" Chioma said, staring at Oliver who was currently confused.

"Okay… If you say so!" Oliver confusedly replied.

"We're also here to get some books!" Yetunde said, shifting her attention towards Oliver who was standing in front of her.

"Oh, Books like what?" Oliver curiously inquired, adjusting his glasses.

"I just want to read up on various Arcane Based Spells, so I guess I'll be taking some Tier One Spell Grimoire" Yetunde promptly replied.

"That's nice, how about you…. Er..Chioma right" Oliver responded, shifting his attention to Chioma.

"Yes it's Chioma and I'm here to get some books on the Theoretical Principles of The Arcane!" Chioma immediately answered.

"Okay!" Oliver said, turning towards Reynolds' direction.

"Don't look at me bro, they forced me to come" Reynolds promptly said, shrugging his shoulders.

"No we didn't!" Yetunde exclaimed, smacking Reynolds head.

Her sudden exclaim attracted the attention of other students who were presently browsing through their books.

Noticing that they all had their eyes fixed on Yetunde, she unconsciously shrieked while she shivered in fear, "I guess that was too loud!" She whispered.

"Yes it was!" Chioma subtly answered, walking towards her friend.

"S…sorry!" Yetunde quietly apologized.

"So, what are you here for?" Chioma curiously inquired.

"I'm actually here for books about Arcatech!" Oliver proudly answered, adjusting his awkward glasses.

"Really?" Both Yetunde and Chioma couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

Their simultaneous outburst attracted and angered the students present in the Facility.

"Shush!" The Infuriated Students simultaneously yelled, wickedly glaring at Yetunde and Chioma.

"S-sorry!" Both girls apologized.

"What's wrong?" Oliver confusedly inquired, staring at the embarrassed teenage girls in front of him.

"Nothing!" Chioma replied, frantically waving her hands at Oliver.

"It's just that, We're just surprised you're interested in something like Arcatech!" Yetunde promptly answered.

"The fact is, I'm not really interested in being a Mage. I actually want to be an Arcatech Innovator" Oliver responded, caressing his hair awkwardly.

"That's awesome!" Chioma commented with enthusiasm.

"Nerd!" Reynolds whispered, folding his arms.

Hearing what he said, Yetunde and Chioma immediately shifted their attention towards him. Simultaneously, they released a massive amount of bloodlust which was directed to Reynolds. Accompanying their bloodlust was a wicked death glare which caused Reynolds instantly choke on his saliva.

"I'll just… keep quiet!" Reynolds quietly whisperer, slowly backing up.

"That's great!" Yetunde said, fixating her attention on Oliver.

"But why?" She politely inquired, earnestly staring at Oliver for answers.

"Well, I'm not really into combat or stuff like that and I can barely defend myself, so I decided to do something else which led me to Arcatech. With Arcatech I can help the world in my own way, it might not be big but at least it'll make an impact!" Oliver explained.

"Whoa, that's cool!" Yetunde commented in awe, solemnly staring at Oliver.

Hours later,

Academy's Cafeteria,

Solaris Arcane Academy.

Yetunde, Chioma and Reynolds were seen walking into the Cafeteria, obviously for dinner. The place was a little bit crowded with people either chatting amongst themselves, eating or reading. As they entered the Cafeteria, they were easily spotted by their missing mate, Vanessa, who was already munching on her dinner. She immediately waved at her friends, signaling them to come seat with her.

"Whoa, you were right Yetunde, she's already here!" Reynolds said, referring to Vanessa.

"That's impressive, I wish I can be like you, I barely talk with my roommate!" Chioma said.

"Maybe you should fight her to death, that always helps in bonding!" Reynolds slyly commented, obvious referring to the time Yetunde and Vanessa were forced to duel each other.

"What?" Chioma confusedly exclaimed, staring at both Yetunde and Reynolds for answers.

"Don't listen to him!" Yetunde hurriedly answered, walking towards her roomie.

"If you say so!" Chioma said, shrugging her shoulders.

"Hey Vanessa, how are ya?" Reynolds inquired, waving at the stuffed teenage girl.

"I'm fine, where have you guys been?" Vanessa said, taking a huge bite of her food.

"We're at the Library!" Yetunde answered, staring at her roomie who was busy stuffing her face with cake and steak.

Seeing this, both Yetunde, Reynolds and Chioma couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"What's so funny?" Vanessa inquires, confusedly staring at her friends.

"Nothing!" Reynolds answered, trying to fake a neutral face

"Alright, If you say so!" Vanessa said, shrugging her shoulders.

"So, what were you doing at the Library?" She curiously inquired.

"Reading books, isn't that obvious?" Chioma confusedly answered Vanessa's question with a question of her own.

"Ha-ha, Nerds!" Vanessa blurted, bursting into laughter.

"That's right!" Reynolds immediately answered.

"You guys aren't serious!" Chioma said, smacking her face in disappointment.

As she shook her head, Chioma immediately noticed that Yetunde was lost in her thoughts.

"Yetunde, what's wrong?" Chioma worriedly inquired.

"Nothing, I'm just wondering why Oliver didn't want to get dinner?" Yetunde promptly replied

"Maybe he had to do something urgently!" Chioma said, shrugging her shoulders in confusion.

"Oh well, you might be right!" Yetunde responded.

"And the same time, you might be wrong" She thought to herself.

Later at Night,

Solaris Academy Park.

Thanks to the size of the academy, it was easy to actually build a large sized park, filled with several recreational facilities which made it easy for Students to relax. In the darkness, one could clearly see someone strolling through. Not minding the absence of light and life, the person continued walking through the park. This person was none other than Vanessa.

"I can't believe you're our here?" A voice suddenly boomed out of the darkness gravely shocking Vanessa.

"Who's there?" Vanessa frightfully inquired, igniting her fists with flames.

"Easy Vanessa, I don't want to fight you!" The Voice quickly exclaimed.

"Wait a minute, I know that voice…. Chioma!" Vanessa said, staring at the person who she was conversing with.

"Took you long enough!" Chioma said, walking out of the shadows wearing a cheery smile.

"What are you doing here?" Vanessa curiously inquired.

"Nothing, I just love being alone.. in the dark!" Chioma promptly answered.

"Same!".
