Academy of Chaos

“…… She’s a failure from birth” The words of her Grandmother echoed continuously in Yetunde’s head, as she aimlessly wandered the forest, with tears running down her pitiful eyes. Her attention and interest immediately got piqued, when she heard an eerie but peaceful song, alongside a cluster of weird but beautiful glowing particles, originating from a cave, deep within the treacherous ends of the forest. At the entrance of the cave, she felt a grotesque energy surge, which for some reason attracted her towards itself, thereby distorting her sense of reasoning. On entering the cave, Yetunde was immediately greeted by a group of infuriated witches. Originally wanting to kill her for intruding, Yetunde finds redemption and solace in the coven. The Queen of the Coven, Ella, surprisingly gifts Yetunde with a rare Arcane treasure, which she believed would help the young girl out of her present predicament. Shortly after the encounter with the witches, Yetunde was suddenly accepted to school at the most prestigious Academy of magic, known famously as “Solaris Arcane Academy”. Her acceptance was due to the sudden awakening of her innate Affinity. Not only gaining popularity, she gained superiority and soon found herself in an environment of both people who despise her and those who loves her. CHAPTER 17: Aftermath Lecture

Moments later after Vanessa and Yetunde's ultimate clash, both girls stood in the aftermath of their earlier attack, earnestly staring at each other.

"Thank you!" Vanessa said before she passed out.

"You're welcome!" Yetunde said, falling unto her knees, losing control over her own limbs.

Blake instantly appeared in the middle of the arena, checking if Vanessa was alive.

"Thank goodness, she's alive!" He brightly exclaimed, shifting his attention to the Yetunde.

"Are you alright?" He curiously inquired.

"I…. I'm….. I'm fine!" She stuttered while she panted heavily for breath. Both girls were obviously suffering from Mana exhaustion.

"You sure?" Blake confusedly stared while he placed his hand on both Vanessa and Yetunde's head, activating an unknown spell.

He directly infused Mana from his body into theirs, which helped them recuperate quickly, with Yetunde's recovery being way more faster than Vanessa's.

"Whoa… what is he doing?" Yetunde thought to herself as she gasped in awe.

"A spell that allows one to transfuse Mana into another person, is that even possible? She added.

"Yes!" Blake suddenly replied, throwing Yetunde into a state of confusion.

"It's actually a Mid-Tier spell, used commonly in the Medical Department!" He added, further shocking the exhausted girl.

"How are you doing this?" She commented.

Apparently, Both parties were conversing through their mind.

"We are on a Mind Link, it's an effect of using this spell. For me to be able pass Mana into your body, I first have to create a medium connection.." Blake mentally said.

"And would you do that?" Yetunde inquired, staring into Blake's eyes.

"For that to happen, I have send in my Arcane Sense to create an immaterial connection. This connection then serves as the medium for the inflow of Mana!" He replied.

"I understand but still haven't answered my question…. Why is this possible?" She said frantically glaring at Blake for answers.

"Oh right, transferring one's Arcane Sense into another person body, automatically links both parties Mind together" He answered.

"I don't still get it but whatever… I'll definitely find a book about it later" She mentally connected.

"Besides, what's that Arcane Sense you were talking about" She promptly added, staring at her Instructor.

"The Arcane Sense is a perception of Mana, we humans possess. Don't get me wrong, all living creature possess this Sense which is due to evolution…. Alright I'm done!" He responded, confirming that he has concluded the Transfusion process.

Almost immediately, Vanessa woke back to reality while Yetunde finally received the ability to move her limbs which she proved by standing uprightly. Few minutes later, Vanessa stood back to her feet but still needed support which her roommate, willing gave her.

"Are you alright?" Yetunde curiously asked, staring at Vanessa.

"Yeah, I'm fine!" Vanessa replied, as they both walked out of the scorched and shattered arena. Blake followed suit, heading towards the students area.

Some of them were still suffering from the impact of Yetunde and Vanessa's last attack while some of them were just shocked by the amount power both students displayed.

"Alright… I guess that concludes the Combat evaluation exercise. I was extremely shocked by the amount power some of you possess while out rightly disappointed with some of you. Even if I was impressed, those students who destroyed the Arena are so I'm trouble!" Blake said, addressing the students. He was obviously referring to Reynolds, Vanessa and Yetunde.

"Those of you while didn't meet my expectations still have the entire semester to grow strong while those of you who already strong, I want you to grow stronger… I hope that's understood?" Blake added.

"Yes Instructor Blake!" The Students simultaneously responded.

"Also, there's one thing I'd like to address….. Take what I am about to say as a Lesson. I would like to talk about the two different forms of spells, which are; Arcane Based Spells and Affinity Based Spells.

Arcane Based spells are spells based on the precise manipulation of Mana. These spells are used for miscellaneous purposes including; Combat, Support, Healing and so on. Also note, anyone can utilize this spell, regardless of their Affinity.

Affinity Based spells as it name implies, are spells that deal solely on an individual's Affinity. It's based solely on Essence….

[This Essence is actually Mana or Arcane Energy in a form where it has been combined with a certain Force, either Elemental, Fundamental or Divine.]

These spells are solely used for Battle" Blake promptly said.

"What you students used during the exercise were solely Affinity Based Spells. The only student who didn't solely depend on Affinity Based Spell was Yetunde!" Blake said, wearing a smirk.

"What?"

"Is he serious?"

"I don't get it!" The Students murmured amongst themselves as they shifted their attention to Yetunde. Seeing this, she instantly choke on her saliva.

"Hold on… Yetunde didn't also rely on Arcane Based Spells, she was able to merge these two forms together. Take note, this merges is something you all supposed to learn in your Third year, but it seems like she's already able to perform it" Blake promptly added.

"Whoa!"

"She's awesome!"

"How did she do it?" The Students brightly said, gasping in awe.

"She really is awesome!" Reynolds thought to himself while he earnestly stared at Yetunde.

"Whoa, I didn't know combining both forms was something difficult, I honestly thought everyone knew how to do!" Yetunde whispered to herself.

"What's so special about Arcane Based Spells, are they more powerful than Affinity Based?" One of the Students suddenly asked.

"Both of them are equally powerful, some Battle Arcane spells are tremendously strong while some Affinity Based spells are ridiculously powerful…. The strength of both forms depends on the user.

Coming to Yetunde's merge technique, the combination of the two forms, increases the power of the spell. Let's the earlier battle as an example; We all saw Vanessa's Dragon Breath which is an Affinity Based spell and Yetunde's Azure Eruption, which is a Merged spell form.

Both spells were purely the same but we could all tell the difference between them. Yetunde's attack was way more denser, faster and tremendously hotter than that of Vanessa's. If She had been the one using Merged form, even if her flames were ember, she would be able to suppress Yetunde's Azure flames.

The Merged form helps to deliver quicker, faster and more refined attacks. Also, it doesn't consume much Mana and essence, depending on the user and the spell being used" Blake proudly explained.

"How was she able to learn the Merged form?" The students curiously inquired.

"How did you learn it?" Blake inquired, shifting his earnest attention to Yetunde.

"Well… Since I didn't have an Affinity, I studied practically any Arcane Based spell I could find, mostly Battle and Support. So layer on, when I finally awakened my Affinity, I just decided to merge the forms together….. I honestly had no idea it was something special!" Yetunde awkwardly said, burying her face into her palm.

"I honestly believe that, thanks her scores in the Entrance exams. She had a perfect score in the exams but was disqualified from being the Title best Entrance student due to her lack of Affinity… I bet those bastards in the Examination committee were shocked when they discovered she actually had an Affinity" Blake thought to himself while wearing a maniacal smirk.

"Alright that answers our question!" Blake excitedly erupted.

"Of course I don't expect most students to believe her, especially those commoners who have intense grudges against Nobles and Royals. Also those Nobles who are so obsessed with being the best…. But, I know some of them believes her, those people might be both Noble and Commoners who practically look up to her as a source of inspiration… Anyways, this should be fun!" He thought to himself, staring at the students.

"I can't accept that bullshit!"

"Who the hell those she think she is?"

"I'm sure her fancy dad hired special tutors for her!"

"Unacceptable!" This words echoed in the mind of a certain group of students who were currently glaring at Yetunde, unconsciously directing their psychotic blood lust towards her.

Like a detector, she instantly noticed what transpired, directing her own wicked bloodlust towards those students who glared at her, causing them to choke on their pride. This didn't go unnoticed by Blake and Reynolds who couldn't help but chuckle.

"Whoa!"

"She's awesome!"

"She's really strong"

"She's so cool" The words echoed in the mind of another set of student who were obviously admiring Yetunde. This also didn't go unnoticed by Blake, who shook his head in excitement.

"Like I said, this is going to be fun!" Blake thought to himself, wearing a maniacal grin.

"Do I have your attention!" He said, frantically waving at the students.

"Alright, since the syllabus says you'll learn the Merged form, we'll just focus on Affinity Based spells. As an assignment, I want you all to stock up on more Spells that is peculiar to your Affinity. You all were given a Special-Tier Grimoire, that will be the book you'll use to jot down those spells…. Please practice those spells because the next we meet which you'll be inform, you'll have to demonstrate some of them, is that understood?" Blake nonchalantly exclaimed.

"Yes Instructor Blake!" The Students simultaneously responded.

"In that case you're all free to leave!" Blake said, dismissing the students while he stayed back in the messed up facility.

Suddenly, Principal Nelson and the other Head Instructors, excluding Clark walked into the Facility and was immediately greeted by the carnage inflicted by the students battle.

"Blake, what the hell did you do?"
